Optimus 2 Official support Thread - Updated 26/06/21

Ok …I hear what your saying on root but I think there just may be a bit of confusion on the settings of the app if you’re talking about the O2 here. I bought the O2 for many reasons but my very top priority with it is to have instant access to the the flashlight on my wrist at Night. I could not do that with it without Button Mapper. My O2 is on Stock Launcher and is Not Rooted (yet): So far I have been able to avoid that level of geekness of having to null and void it’s warranty (my O2 is newer… got it in January) I will go through the steps to get your flashlight working for you here .

  1. Load Button Mapper from Play store
  2. Go to settings Apps & Notifications then Permissions
  3. Turn on Permissions to the Camera
  4. Then Go to your Optimization App click on Clean task then click on Battery Saver then find Button Mapper and uncheck it (otherwise your Opt feature will shut it down constantly)
  5. Now you can Open the Button Mapper App… the only setting you are using for the O2 in Button Mapper is the Back Button settings. Click on Enable at the top
  6. then click on Back Button . There you will find Customize… Turn that on. Then under that you will find long press and double tap features to set as you wish… There you can set your back button however you want it to work for you … Look under Actions at your top options to set, and you’ll find toggle flashlight :flashlight:. Set it and back out …Now try your Back Button Flashlight controls.
( it has never failed me.)

I have my long press set to open the My Drawer app because it puts instant access to all your apps alphabetized on your screen and my Double Tap the back button set to turn on and off my :flashlight: …since I probably would not have bought this watch without it NOTE: Your double click will take 3 clicks to your Back Button to turn your screen on first

And Yes that watch face is awesome and I’m not presently using that one. I am able to use 13 of the touch point watch faces that are gifted to us in this forum on my O2. In order to use the wonderfully convenient touch point watch faces on any FAW you must use the directions here on writing in - “arraytype 100” to change the code addresses in the clockskin.xml file. In order to change the app addresses of the watch face elements to the apps in your watch you must use the app called Package Names to give you, your app addresses that need to be pasted in the proper position in clockskin.xml. . They have to be programmed to the app addresses in your watch specifically. I had to spend a couple of days here figuring it all out. And I have been known to be capable of writing code. LOL …In another comment I’ll send the some links to the watch faces that I have been able to program for my O2. Turning my O2 into a little futuristic prototype device does take a little bit of time and effort. So far the O2s only negatives are I can’t make it do the dishes or laundry and “try as I might” I haven’t been able to geek myself to the level of a Watch Face Designer (yet) which kinda blows, because I have had successes in graphic arts and have great ideas for face designs.

Thank you! I did same steps before but i haven’t gave Access to Camera (cause Flashlight was working without it :rabbit:) strangely enough after i toggle on access to Camera it started working when the screen is Off :smiley_cat:. Nobody mentioned it before so big thanks for that! :chipmunk:

Does anybody know if Camera and Screen have some protection? I mean like Gorilla Glass or something? I use O2 mostly for cycling and after some time with it and must say its must-have device for such activity but i dunno about durability tho

There is no mention of Gorilla Glass in it’s specs… all specs state it is a 1.6 inch ips screen with a ceramic bezel …400x400 p . Your KO2 comes with a screen protector pre installed and there should have been an extra one included in the box. I have a friend that found one of the Samsung watch screen protectors that fit his KO2 perfectly. So he bought a pack of those for it. I am careful with the screen and camera and keep them clean… The camera does not have protection that I am aware of. I will be more cautious of mine in the summer hot weather during working outs if sweating . Don’t sumerge it in any water. I don’t believe it was made for rugged users … It is more focused on upscaled features … A10 a HD 13 MP rotation flash camera, a large rom and ram, an octa core processor, 1250 mAh battery, accuracy of diodes in the health sensors -spo2 heart etc. and a higher spec data band adapter for strong 4g signal. .For the features it offers I don’t mind being bit more cautious with mine.

And here is the “some instant touch watch faces for our O2 kindly gifted to us on this forum”, comment I promised you

Hi LisaDeHart,

my favorite watch face is
AUDI RS 2.01
clock_skin_model

clock_skin_model 2
The following buttons work:
1.Settings
2. Record message
3. WhatsApp
4.Google Maps
5. Screen Brightness
6. Fitness Running
7. Heart rate
8. Google Dates
Only these 4 buttons (marked with a blue border) do not work for me.

Oh I could give that touch point watch face lots of work !.. Thanks …is there a link to it’s zip file  are you on an O2 . The only touch points that I have not mastered on my O2 Is the Heart Rate sensor app for Launching it and the D@⁘⁖ Calculator lol. If I can help you with it, I will … I have the address codes on all the elements that you are having trouble with.

Guys, please keep on topic.
This is a watch support thread.
I will move these posts to the faces section once the site update is finished.
Cheers :+1:

Hello Guys i dont allow the notifocation on watch droid phone then allow and wait 10 seconds and press ok. I have to do this everytime everyday and everytime when i erase alps?? Its annoying and everytime i cant pair with my phone. Is there any solution for it?

Hi. Really sorry but i am struggling to understand your english so i will guess at the problem . Watch droid needs to be able to run in the background for it to work . Follow these instructions for the app on your watch

i am really sorry about my english. its not my main laguage. so i am askin that: i can not see notification on my watch. I use Watch Droid Phoene but i can not activate notificitons. I activated yesterday and i use it perfectly, all notifications i see on my watch. But today i can not turn on. (It says: Notification Service-Inactive). Do you understand me sir? I am sorry about my funny English :see_no_evil:
I just wanted to attach screenshot but i cant. Maybe i can make video and upload youtube then i will drop a link here.

Don’t worry about your english…
Make sure that battery saver is disabled on your watch AND on your phone.
Then reboot your phone and your watch and pair pair like an odenary Bluetooth device, not by using the qr code.

And with my phone i always find that if i pair with the watch the normal way , THEN use the qr code its very stable :+1:

Hi all, any updates on an international FAW version for the Optimus 2? Or can the Prime 2 version of the international FAW that I downloaded last summer be installed on the Optimus 2?

I’m considering buying an Optimus 2 as a replacement/upgrade for my current Prime 2 (which HAS been upgraded with the international FAW firmware, but now has a broken camera) and I’m just wondering if anyone can enlighten me regarding the following, for the Optimus 2 as it comes “out of the box”:

-can Google apps be used in round screen mode? (this was not possible with the stock Prime 2 firmware)
-is there an easily accessible screenshot function?
-can the camera orientation be “flipped” or “toggled” in 3rd party apps? (not possible in either stock or international FAW firmware on Prime 2, and is quite annoying when you’re, for example, trying to take a picture from within WhatsApp, but if the problem has been solved on the Optimus 2 then that, combined with the flash, would pretty much make it a no brainer for me to buy)
-anyone got any experience to report with the new “life waterproof” level? As in, is it OK to walk around in light rain and/or wear it while exercising and sweating heavily?
-how is the charging cable connection stability? It hasn’t been great on the Prime 2.

Thanks!
Benson
