I guess it depends on what you need the pin for. If it is just for corporate email then mailwise or Blue mail apps are good and in some cases you don’t need a pin.
Keyboard access on the lock screen is a pain in the arse
I have not looked into the google voice capability on the lock screen but it’s another possibility.
Please let us know what the pin security is needed for and also what you have tried so far.
one quick question :
I installed K-9 mail for mailing, but I can’t access the buttons on the edge of the display to configure the app ( manual sync for example )
Can I reduce the screen to square to have access ? or is there an existing mail app I can use instead on the round screen ?

By the way, this little rant is not about you personally - it's for everyone
I really was hoping that members would read this thread (and the LEM7 thread) and learn about the watch. There is so much useful information here in this thread.
The watches are exactly the same at the firmware and software level.
Anyway, as I have said many times in this thread - use the Vysor plugin for Chrome browser.
All you need to do is enable USB debugging and connect your watch to your PC.
After the app is installed on your watch you can control your watch from your computer and the screen size is very good.
It also allows access to software buttons that you normally can’t reach.

I think I didn’t explain right/ask wrong. Let me say it in another way: if you are outside ( not at home with a PC ) is it possible to reduce the round screen to square to have access to the edges of a screen ?

I didnt forget the pass pin but there is no keyboard on the display. Quick question. on the sp_flashtool do we change the .7z to .exe? and I have a vcom driver for a car usb to obd2 interface, would this worked or do I have to use the one from here?

For most apps yes.
If you press the button for a few seconds you get the power menu for the watch.
Up above the power off and reboot etc, buttons there is a white circle icon. If you press on it the circle changes to square.
Just do this and then exit this screen by tapping the cancel button at the bottom.
Then apps like play store and others will be in a square screen.

You download 7zip from the Web and unzip the 7zip files.

Anyway, once you have prepared the files just install the unsigned drivers (google if you are not sure how to install)
Prepare the flash tool as shown in the “how to” text file I made.
There are video links included in the text as well.

Yeah mate I mean when you use screen lock from playstore in above link. I realize the stock screen lock on thor 4 is bugged with no keyboard. The one in the link above works great and has nice keyboard to type in your pasword. I have tried and tested on the THOr 4 and works great with no ads after setup and does'nt effect battery life

Reflashed and all is well, I have a problem with the phone keeps falling off the network, I didnt set whether it is on 2g or 3g but I'm sure its on 2g since when I first got it and put it on 3g it was so hot that I thought it was going to go into thermal shutdown. places that my sony m3 and the domino dm98 works at the thor does not work there, the big issue I have is now I have to walk around with the main phone to take videos each time I want to use it to send to banggoods, their policy been unless they get a video they will not do anything, Its a pity there wasnt an ebay seller who had this phone in stock since I doubt if I will buy from them again
Can you try setting 3G as default and see if you still have heat issues since your update?
It was a known issue with early firmware…
We are working on a fix for stopping the network drop, but for most it is because 2G is not used for voice calls anymore…
Would be interested to see if you still have issues with 3G.

I repeat use 3g and make sure mobile data is off and heating issue should disappear. This is the first step.
Yep, that's right. But when he did this with the earlier firmware it got extremely hot. Using 3G.... But this has been fixed now and the root cause turned out to be something else - related to BT and WiFi.
Anyway, 3G should be fine now regardless so it's worth trying and the watch should not get hot at all.

It's a little tricky to keep track of who's done what 😂 yes I reflashed using the image that is on this site and when I tried an ota the report is that I'm currently up to date, I will try it on 3g and see how it goes

no no. Those 2 watches are different.
Different cpu, different firmware. I have tryed to flash zeblaze thor 4 lte fw to my thor pro 3g without success.
Only original fw reborned my watches.
