This watch works well with a little effort. When this watch starts up all of the apps are running in the background. Work through them one by one and disable / force stop or disable access.

it is a pitty that this watch is not really supported hereā¦ not everyone is a wizz in the programming or de-programming of appsā¦i for one have had a lot of FAW watches but do not have the time or expertise to go in-depth in the what can or cannot be disabledā¦a real shame especially there is nothing else coming out as for new watchesā¦we have been stuck at the lemfos,kospets for while now without any new thingsā¦maybe time to move on to other brands
Sadly there is nothing else to play with. I have just ordered another three A8.1 watches but i am realistic and know what to expect

did you order the vwar core4 (h19)?? i didā¦i like the core3 too, and the core 4 with the turnable camera en aod seems a nice upgradeā¦and A8.1 on these is not too bad, except for the notifications issues
H18 or H19 : bad same products, no notifications of the apps, only 2 pins charging cable, gadget but not thruth Android watchā¦ Dont buy.

Itās a watch that can be used. I invested some time and ADB can solve most problems. However, this requires expert knowledge - and a certain willingness to take risks, since flashing the firmware is not an emergency exit in this case.
Together with the Universal Launcher and Watchdroid and a few adjustments, itās definitely a watch that you can use.
But not for the average user who wants to use it as it is.

Thanks, thatās the one I found but the APK didnāt want to install as āthis app ha been developed for an old version of androidā (and security bla bla bla). Forcing the app to install makes it run. At least Iām sure itās the good one. Thank you

Notifications working fine 
Obviously Glimpse app need to run in the background along with the app that is recieving a notification
I test it on A8.1 watches also

I have tested Glimpse notifications on H18 ( A8.1 watch ) and he dont work for meā¦

Iāve got this watch too. I like it. I think itās ok.
There are 2 problems otherwise it will be better.
One thing is the gesture navigation, the bottom swipe to close works fine anywhere. But lett/right swipe does not work when any App is open other than Home Screen/watchface screen.
Second, battery life is short. I tested total standby is about 20 hours. (wifi on 4G on, didnāt turn on screen at all). I know how to uninstall some packages via adb, but have no idea what to remove to improve standby battery life. Is there a list of safely remove packages?
New member 1st post just because I bought this Thank you.
Before removing apps turning off individual app permissions will save a lot of battery. Out of the box this watch allows everything to run in the background ? Which is a first.
