I’m rooted, done su command pm disable, done deviceidle enable light, but after reboot came back mLightEnabled=false
Replace /system/bin/install-recovery.sh
But make a copy first like /system/bin/install-recovery.sh.ORG
Check the permissions (mosty 644)
If you change /system/bin/install-recovery.sh you are not able to install OTA anymore!

All that’s needed is to flash the twrp and the patched boot image…
adb reboot recovery AFTER copying magisk zip to storage - then flash. Done.
This is why I said look in the development section.

, to whom it interested I solved using Tasker to give the command dumpsys deviceidle enable light at every reboot.

i see my question about OTA updates since the release of the optimus pro has been completely ignored
so
has there been any OTA udates released for the optimus pro or not ?
my watch has never received one and is still on 2.5 version firmware
i see Pablo11 talking about an OTA firmware V4 release but it’s not clear if this is truly an OTA update or does it have to be flashed ?

I thought I answered - apparently not.
Of course it may depend on the version you are on. 2.5.
Have you ever flashed firmware Or is this what you received your watch with?

i don’t really want to start flashing firmware on this watch but will be happy for an OTA update
the watch has behaved itself and battery life is acceptable hence the reluctance to start experimenting with different firmware
it’s a pity about the quality of the casing but it’s still holding together after 3 lug repairs 
If you have never flashed then you should have no problem getting the ota.
But if you do I will be uploading a new version in a couple of days
i will see what happens with the OTA update iv’e never flashed the watch since purchase so should be in with a chance of it receiving the update
if not and ver 4 is an improvement i will consider flashing the firmware
