In the car it was perfect with car kit . Speaker volume with sim better but not perfect

Maybe try the Kospet Note version ? - exactly the same watch…
Use firmware upgrade option in SP Flash Tools - or download only and factory reset .

I will have to try this tomorrow and will likely need some advice to do this.
Being a newbie to smartwatches I will need some sort of step-by-step guide or a referred routine to ensure I don’t turn it into a piece of useless junk.

Does the Note software have other advantages ?
E.g. does it show Notifications with name of app sending and the preview text readable ? Perhaps even an icon of the sending app ? All this missing on the Max S…
And the rotation, does the Note software keep apps in landscape mode or do they flip around like on the Max S ?
I’m hoping to test it tomorrow . Why not give it a go . @G1NT0N1C has just confirmed app rotation working fine unlike on Max S

There are Linux versions of the flash tool that require a couple of minor dependencies but MAC… 
Too be brutally honest, you will be much safer if you can borrow a Windows laptop or something.
It’s so much easier and the tool was pretty much designed to run on Windows…

Thanks @pablo11 … I will take your advice.
Unfortunately all my music and recording computer software (for my work) is Mac based and has been the case for quite a few years … all my colleagues and my family are the same … all Mac.
Hopefully I will find a laptop to borrow from a good Samaritan somewhere soon. 
My mam said she would lend you hers if you are anywhere near her apartment . Cracked screen , broken hinge but works

Flashed the Note software (Download with Factory reset after) - it seems VERY similar, even same spelling mistakes in dialogues.
- Rotation problem, not fixed, still portrait mode for OTA update window, My Runnig App, Life360
- Notifications: Still no Icon or name of app sending the notification, but now preview text is actually readable instead of grayed out
- Heart rate - That actually worked very nice on the Ticwris FW, but now it’s as bad as on my Prime. Starts either much too high, like double value, and then slides back to correct value, or it starts way too low and slides up to correct. All values which makes it into the history seems the sliding ones either low or high, never the correct ones after some sample time.
The default Kospet Note watchface is actually quite nice
I’m considering flashing the Ticwris FW back, I was actually quite happy with the better Heartrate numbers, and the Note FW didn’t give much advantage…

Quick Question, the ticwris max s I have the laser keeps going of when the watch isnt on my hand, I havent times it but it could be every 15 minutes, The pedometer is switched off, I doubt if it has sleep monitor since I dont see any sleep apps, I dont think its juct checking heart rate since there is no periodic hystory reading. Does any of you have the same strange behaviour on yours?
I have also seen it start by itself, but couldn’t it be to have values for the watchfaces with heartbeat info ?
I’m not sure, I’ve just change the watchface to one without any info to see if the theory stands, the times that it does this the screen is blank(off)
