@pablo11. Thank you for that. I never use forums (and don’t really understand them) and wasn’t told that my first post was in the wrong area. Only that I needed to ask better questions. So I replied with these questions and was approved.
Thank you for that.
I have had Samsung phones for 15 years and I like being able to control my phone and not the phone control me. I tried iphones ONCE from a friend. No thanks. I don’t like being herded into itunes. Most iphone users don’t even know what a launcher is. I have turned on 3 friends to Samsung S10+ and they said iphone tech is archaic compared to Android.
I used Apple products for many years and have been with Android for about 5 years. Because that gives me more freedom. But I accept that there are other opinions.
However, this amounts to a kind of religious discussion. This will not lead to any result.
Absolutely G.
Unfortunately Apple will not allow cross development and just getting the basic version of the WiiWatch app in the Apple store was a nightmare
Agreed anyone is free what to use IOS or Android which is best is an endless pointless discussion.
The reason i left Apple is coz after 2.5 years i had a HDD failure apple said och 2.5 years we dont service this old sh*t imac(2000 euro) anymore , then i said bye bye apple
Apple is full of themselves.
Absolutely agree…
But I want people to know that it’s not because we don’t try to bring the two together…
They just don’t seem to want it to happen.
Even a global corporation like VW has this problem with Apple. If the new beacon of hope, the ID3, goes on sale soon, apple carplay will not be available as planned. Because Apple doesn’t provide the information it needs…
Wow, that is crazy…
A couple tips for faster charging via portable dock.
- If you put the charger on at 65to70% it will easily charge the watch fully and have more left over, however if you wait to 50% it will not have enough to charge the phone fully. This is due to more heat transfer the lower the battery level.
- If you put the watch and dock in the fridge for the first 10+ mins of charging via the dock you receive colder battery temps and drastically improve how well it charges the watch.
Thanks.
All these tips are really helpful, especially for new visitors
Does anybody know the refresh rate of the Kronos blade genesis ,. Because usually transflective screens tend to have low refresh rates
Interesting question, seeing as everyone wants to watch a film in FULL HD on their watch
/s
also is there a way of using amoled technology in transreflective screens ?
Hello Khaos,
Pls see my pictures if these are the same problem as yours. It just happened very suddenly after 2days.
Let me know. I will try Dr V’s Brightness app. Thanks!
well that’s true but in reality watches can’t have full hd support because of their size and even if someone manages to keep a native 1080p display , the PPI (pixels per inch ) would have a massive number … well watches today come at 320or 420x420 we feel its hd only due to the screen size of the watch if try to keep a 420 x 420 on a smartphone well no one would buy that ,it would be pixels seen everywhere. …, does someone know the refresh rate on this watch , has someone watched a 60 fps video on this watch , if yes , is it smooth like our phones which typically has 60 hz of refresh rate and all other watches too have 60 hz , if this is 60 hz this would be too smooth and good . it would be a seamless experience even in sunlight !!!
Why would you think about trying to watch a video in HD on a screen the size of large coin?
If you are talking about streaming to your TV then that is totally different.
You obviously understand that the screen of the Genesis is not a high resolution screen right?
This is the trade-off for having a reflective capability. You don’t have the high pixel density of an amoled screen but you have the ability to see your watch in high daylight, which is impossible with amoled.
very true,… anybody knows the refresh rate for the screen on this watch
Very nice tips i’d like to add some additional info about batteries
Many don’t seem to understand batteries can compare them with a bucket of water the dock is there only to give you some extra juice while not home not for charging the watch the watch is like 730 mah the dock approx the same witch natural loss the isn’t capable of charging the battery 100 % or in best case scenario just to 100 % that’s it same 2 buckets of water if 1 bucket is tiny bit smaller cant fill 100 %
When the watch comes from the factory try to charge the battery with a wall plug for the first week. let the battery set its memory don’t charge it using the dock or a pc UBC port wall plugging give you the best battery life
Agreed Pablo some users want more and more of a watch soon theyll ask to store their office pdf files do their online banking, video conferencing with zoom etc . I use the watch as a standalone watch receiving calls using whatssap, msn, skype, line, spotify etc and it does it perfectly instead of carrying a big clumsy phone on me all the time. while charging using the wall plug as much as possible never have any issues. This is IMHO how to use the watch.
