Optimus 2 Official support Thread - Updated 26/06/21

Dont worry my friend, i dont take anything as offense, that is not the purpose and what im on this forum for…

I’m here to discuss technology, nothing more or less. Im still testing and looking for a solution.

Maybe you could help if you own a Lem 16 or Prime 2, its very simple.
You should install open camera from the playstore and enable camera2 api in the settings and set a higher resolution then full hd and see if it will record a video…

Did Kospet secretly update Optimus 2 storage to 128GB? I just received a discount newsletter and it seems like O2 is now 128GB lol.

Thought it was out of production.

Yes you are right. It is no longer produced. If it is leftover stock, it has 64GB.

Well now I’m curious since it’s the official Kospet website that changed its description and now it is 128GB Internal memory according to them. :flushed:

I just had a look, you are right. I’m sure it’s a mistake, but I will check this.

Thank you very much! Cause 128GB might be interesting enough if it’s real

The Original Optimus 2 4+64gb A10 watch is out of production.
This 128gb model was released for the end of the year because they were not going to release a new model this year.

So they re-released the O2 with 128gb storage instead.
Apart from that, it’s exactly the same.

Believe it or not, the O2 did not sell anywhere near as much as they thought it would and they had large amounts of stock pre ordered at the factory.

The good news for Kospet is that changing the memory chip is a simple process for the factory and is a sensible opportunity for releasing the Optimus 2 again.

It’s a great model, and it is great to see it on sale again and at a very reasonable price.

The FAW international firmware that was made for the original O2 will not work on this one though - before anyone asks…

Oh well that’s sad news about FAW firmware but it is understandable as it could mean a lot of rework to be done just for a particular model.

Still, having a O2 with such storage is big news, wishlisted for sure.

I must admit that I could not use such a large amount of storage.
I don’t even use more than about 10gb and that’s at a push.
But I can understand why people would.

I will see if I can find out what stock levels are :+1:

I use my O2 as a phone replacement so I guess it’s easier for me to fill up its memory. Would be great if you can check it, but there’s no need to push youself if it’s too time consuming. It would probably take a time to this O2 variation to be somewhat used considering the original one was low-selling.

Really nice! But, what about the stock firmware updates, any news? I guess last update was version 1.7 in 2021.

They will only update if they find something that must be fixed. This is common between almost all full android watches.

you are a mind reader.

Hope they will use this tread and the feedback from users who are taking the time to report bugs like i did when it comes to the camera2 api resolution bug in post 662…

Firmware is exactly the same.
No difference

It is pitty that they did not focus a bit more on a good stock firmware. The product is awesome (in my case, optimus 2). I use it as my smartphone every day. The hardware is ok, the battery is ok for a day use, but the stock firmware is, some times, a nightmare.

I would say after the last O2 ota firmware update its by far the best stock firmware i have used

For two years I was wearing Optimus Pro with its perfect AMOLED display. I miss its always-on watch face - highly useful function for any smartwatch. However, O2 is a nice peace of hardware even with IPS screen. Except weird account handling like contacts sync etc. its stock firmware is very convenient for me.
