Official Support thread for LEM14

That’s fairly simple to answer.
It is a Ckyrin S10.

They are the manufacturer and they have a factory called LW.

They sell the S10 to Lemfo and also have their own commercial brands like Rogbid and Rollme (although it appears that Rollme is no longer a brand)

So basically Ckyrin is the OEM.
All the others have just renamed the product.

Just like Domino is the OEM for the Kospet Prime S and many other products that are exactly the same as the Prime S.

@pablo11 It looks like there is some additional confusion somewhere.

And here is an old listing of this device for sale on Amazon in Canada.

This seems to indicate the Ckyrin S10 is INDEED a different device all together that was released back in 2018. So again, I raise the question on why the IMEI of the LEM14 comes up as this device which is much older and 3G only?

I tried to do a bit of research out of curiosity. So I don’t pretend to know a whole lot about IMEI numbers. But I did find this, " The first 8 digits (of a decimal IMEI) are assigned to the manufacturer on application to identify a particular model and the remaining 7 digits are assigned by the manufacturers.
What that leads me to believe that the IMEI number on your LEM14 was assigned to a Ckyrin S10 and misused on your watch, for whatever reason. As far as 3G only, the specs for the S10 show it was limited to 3G, which was common before 4G started to be used.
Feel free to dispute any of this information.

Both of my device IMEI’s came back as a Ckyrin S10. One is a LEM14 and the other is the Rogbid Brave Pro (both just branded versions of the same device). @pablo11 says that these devices ARE the Ckyrin S10 but my research indicates that it cannot be as there already was a device with that name from Ckyrin so I’m still just trying to clear up the confusion. I’m guessing what’s happening is that both AT&T and T-Mobie are simply seeing the the manufactuer as Ckyrin and assuming that it must be the Ckyrin S10 as they obviously did sell that direct without rebranding and the mobile carriers are just dumb. The only question remaining is why @pablo11 says this is the S10 too?

I went back and re-read his thread and see both of his comments. His last one that Ckyrin is the OEM is probably most correct. I agree it can’t be a S10 if it is a Lem 14 but this concurs with my thoughts that the IMEI number assigned to your watch was originally designated to be use with the S10 model but assigned to your phone by ? (mistake). All the carriers know is that that IMEI number was assigned to the the Ckyrin S10, a 3G only watch. I also refer to your earlier comment, “Clearly, whatever manufacturer made this device reused IMEI’s”. From what I remember I’ve read on this forum it would not be the first time a manufacturer misused IMEI numbers in these watches.

@joojoobee666 Guys, it’s very simple.
The Ckyrin S10 is the Rollme S08 and Rogbid Brave.
Android 7.1.1. 4G watch.

The Ckyrin S10 pro is the LEM 14 and Rogbid Brave Pro…
Android 10. 4G watch.

They are made in the same place by the same company and one is A7.1.1 and the other is A10…but both of them are 4G, LTE capable.

In the eyes of the Telco they are seeing the OEM name of Ckyrin S10.

Jeez, let’s call in the Feds :joy:

@pablo11 I’m no longer blaming them for reusing IMEI’s but I am only wondering why when I lookup the Ckyrin S10, everything I find is older links with a device from 2018, which is before the Rollme S08 (released mid 2020) and is a 3G only device. That’s all. Maybe Ckyrin reused the device model name?

At this point, regarding the IMEI, I’m sure it’s just the carriers not understanding that the devices are actually different then that original S10 from 2018 which indeed does not support LTE.

no one is saying that they are reusing IMEIs and if they did it would be a serious issue. As @Jonathan_Bickel said, the first 8 digits of the IMEI identifies the device model. These 8 first digits are called the Type Allocation Code (TAC). Jonathan also suggested that ckyrin might have used the TAC of the S10 in your IMEIs by mistake, but I’m thinking differently. I think they are deliberately using the same TAC for all their devices so that they won’t have to spend a lot of time and money on applying for a new TAC for each new device they make.

Pablo just said that it is the Ckyrin S10 Pro that is the same as LEM 14 and so on. As for reusing the S10 name, you might be right. I can find both the 3G S10 from 2018 you have mentioned and the 4G version Pablo has mentioned.

From my experience with US mobile service providers they will look for any excuse to keep you from adding the watch, as a separate device to your account. Instead they try to sell you one of their $400 watches, certified for use on their service. You can use their Sim card from another device, in your watch and it will work. That is why I use the same providers service but through a third party like Speed Talk which is served by T-Mobile and less expensive. I really don’t need unlimited data on a smart watch anyway.

I purchased my second LEM14 from bangood a few weeks ago, I hadn’t used it in a few weeks, I was excited to flash the new 1.2 firmware, but when I turned it on my screen was pixelated, resetting it didn’t fix it, probably a hardware issue, anyone else having this problem?

Was it fine before you flashed it ? Try flashing it to the stock firmware at the top of this post then factory reset .

It was fine before and after I flashed it. I was actually about to ask about how to flash the factory firmware back on? I probably need to do so before sending it back and awaiting my replacement.

Firmware at top of this thread

In flashtool select " firmware upgrade "

nice watch congress sr

Yeah, definetely a nice watch. I purchased mine a few days ago. The only thing that´s bothering me is that i am not able to scan a qr code. I tried every qr code with thew covid app or with a qr code scanner app with no availe. Is the camera with its 5 mp not able to recognize a code?

Do you have the necessary app installed to read QR codes?

@mafri I too have same watch and was having issues however the camera does scan and recognise QR codes. It’s just a bit fiddly. The camera doesn’t like being too close to the subject matter and the subject needs to be quite bright.
It’s annoying when queued at a COVID check-in and the watch is not picking up the QR code, I’ve been there!
Cheers

There are 2 QR codes.
Both are to be scanned from using a QR scanner on your phone, not the watch.
NEVER install Wiiwear app from the play store. It’s out of date.

Go to the Assistant app on your watch.
Open “connect phone” and scan the first code to install the Wiiwear app if you want it.
Then hit return or back and then you will be able to use the tethering QR code to pair the watch to the phone.
You do not use the phone BT settings for pairing.

But to be honest you are better off using Watch Droid. And then you can use the tethering QR code to connect if you want.
Wiiwear and WiiWatch are soon to be removed from the play store anyway.

Watch Droid is far superior.

It’s here on the forum
