btw, have you made sure the battery is well connected?

Hey Sonia, do u have any idea if theres any good shake to wake app? I dont really like the stock gesture, it keeps turning on when im driving but i definitely need that function when i actually need it lol.

bicboi69

Naaah its not like its not working, its just this sort of lift to a certain angle to wake gesture is not my preferred method n honestly its really slow to wake as well. Just wanted to try the shake to wake option n see how that goes lol. But yea i downloaded like 2 justnow and both didnt work

on the lem x and the lem4 pro  i got with it about 8hrs of usage but they have big batteries capacity so most likely with smaller ones it wo'nt last longer than 3hrs to 4hrs.

Mehh, im just gonna try it out n see how much different it is. I guess u don’t like the stock gesture too then? :joy::joy::joy:

Just received my Thor Pro today. Also got in the spare straps that I ordered a week ago. The Zeblaze Official store on Aliexpress has incredibly fast shipping. Haven’t had time to play with it too much (@ work). But I plan on updating to the latest firmware when I get home. I don’t think I’m going to root it just yet though.

Initial thoughts are positive right now. Size is comparable to the regular watches that I own. Like the screen brightness. The stock screen wake gesture is pretty sensitive on this one.

Can’t wait to get the Universal Launcher on here to get some custom watch faces installed.

What on earth is wrong with it this time?! This watch is starting to piss me off. I left it charging for 15mins n came back n found this

You must be doing something wrong. My I4Air with a 350mah battery I get 20+ hours out of each charge depending on how I use it during that time. To only get 8 hours you either have a problem or something amiss.

Think u quoted the wrong reply lol. But i dont have get much more than that, i get maybe 13hours. With BT tethering via watchdroid the whole time and wrist gesture on.

Whats ur usage like? I would really like to know whats wrong with my watch. Is it a battery issue? Or bad firmware? I saw a guy on FB said he only gets 5hrs with stock firmware which is what i got too with stock firmware and now after flashing v1.6 im getting 13hrs. But y’all been saying u guys r getting a full day. Is this a zeblaze hardware problem? If my minimal usage is less than what u guys do on ur watch then u guys r using the smartwatch as a dumbwatch instead?

Battery life is mostly more a matter of how you use the watch than hardware or firmware. For example I rarely use the wrist gesture because it is a Big battery drain. When I am a home I have several clocks available. In my vehicle I have a clock always available. It will come on even it you don’t need it. So I only use that function when needed. I use BT during the day to receive notifications from my phone via Watch Droid. I turn it off at night because I don’t need it then. I only use wi-fi when I need it, then turn it back off. I select airplane mode unless I need to make a call or data connection. I use Hibernation Manager to turn off all the apps that would run in the background that I don’t need like Play Store and Google Services and most others when the watch is asleep. I use reminders to take medicine, twice a day. My Pedometer is on all the time. I use MapsMe for tracking. It does not require an internet connection like Google maps, only GPS. I listen to music on my phone, with its 4000mah battery. I am running the original factory firmware in both my I4Air and Lem7. I upgraded my Les1 to get BT call but think it is more trouble than its worth so rarely use it. I  like to call it good battery management rather than using a dumbwatch. But that’s how I get 20 to 24+ hours out of a charge and have no current issues with my watches.

Update: I also use Floating Toucher so I can access the apps like Watch Droid from the watch face and not have to go the long inconvenient  route to turn it on and off. I also use the Display Brightness app which allows you to easily adjust the screen brightness from the watch face. That way I can simply lower it inside and raise it for going outside. KISS, simple things that help save battery drain.

i got more than 10 hours a day, mine rooted, couples magisk module greenify for example,i got some profile app running in setcpu in performance mode, like the Eric’s launcher, bluetooth call, auto bluetooth, baterry level and screen off, bluetooth on all the time,no wifi no gps and i am really surprised that the bluetooth connection is very stable no problems so far,the only problem is in my watch the volume is to low and i havevto got to setting, sound and change the media volume to higher everytime that i have bluetooth call. but i am so happy with my watch

U know what, I'll try using the way u use ur watch as well. The only reason i don't do that is cus everytime I don't need or need a function i have to fiddle with the watch. I want it on my wrist displaying notifications n the time and i dont have to fiddle with it all the time. But if that's what it takes then I'll give it a shot.

I honestly dont think im asking for alot, just full notifications n time which is why i went with this cheaper alternative cus i dont need the sports features or even able to turns off my smart devices cus i dont own any. Just those basic stuffs. And right now, my watch is bugged! If i turn it off its get stuck… refer to the picture above. Not even sure how that happened, im gonna reflash this firmware again n hopefully fixes it. If a typical consumer got this watch im using im pretty sure it’ll be in the bin. That would have been the case for me too if it weren’t for this forum n the community here

I do get more than 10hours if my battery meter aint messed up like today, it was dropping 1% every few minutes i checked my watch. Im gonna reflash the v1.6 again and see if my problems r solved. I know u had experience with the x300 v1.5 firmware. Was the battery life ok on that? Or has it been better on v1.6? Cus as u know, the v1.6 has screen artifacts for me and since i have to flash again since my watch cant shut down properly (refer to the picture my previous reply). I figured if im gonna lose my apps all over again i might as well flash a firmware that has the best performance in terms of battery life. V1.5 doesnt have bluetooth call but i think i can live with it as long as i can get thru the day from 7am to 10pm before the battery reaches 5% that would be ideal for me already.

So this morning, 7.30am to 11am. With ur setup, it went from 100% to 54% is this a battery management issue? I really dont think so. I'll report back here tomorrow seeing i only just flashed the v1.5 firmware last night, might be battery reading issue for today. But for the past few days on v1.6 firmware it's been around this sort of drain as well except for 1 good day where i actually got 12hrs out of it with my usual usage.

I’m already looking into buying a fossil explorist Q after a week of owning this Thor pro. This aint good, definitely bad news for my bank account.

EDIT: UPDATE - by 3pm the watch turned off on its own already. Gesture was off the whole time, hibernation manager on all unneeded apps n services, wifi off. BT tethering with watchdroid only. That concludes, 1st charging cycle after flashing v1.5 firmware. I still got 2hours left at work with a dead watch smh. I’ll continue my report after i charge it back up again after work.

I’ve had my Thor Pro for almost a week now and today is the first full day of using the watch after setting things up. The watch has been off the charger since 5am. From 5-8am all I had on was GPS. From 8am to now (~11:24am) I have GPS on and Bluetooth connected to my Axon 7 (albeit sporadically. I’ve had to reconnect Watch Droid several time manually). I also connected via wifi to my phone’s hotspot to download an app from the Play Store. Battery is currently @ 71%. Still on v1.5 firmware, not rooted, using Watch Droid only.

So far I’m still liking the watch. Setting things up and lots of downloading, the battery only lasted ~4 hours, but now under normal use it seems to be better. I only wish Bluetooth wasn’t so flakey. As I’m wearing the watch I can feel the vibrations when Bluetooth turns on/off. I’m not sure why the watch is doing that.

As a standalone “phone” (SIM inserted). It works great. I have no trouble getting 3G in my area and I even used Waze when driving home from work one day. Battery drain during that time was ~10% for a 20 minute drive.

sully008 hotspot drains battery really fast.yep…using maps has saginficant impact on battery.

Yes Thor Pro is using Android 5.1, is there already an Android 7 port firmware? I would love to try that. I use Hibernation Manager as suggested by captjon to at least stop these services from running during screen off.

My usage is very minimal, all I use is BT n nothing else. Watchdroid for notifications because that’s the main reason I got a smartwatch to see important texts from my management team and clients. Downloaded a screen off app to set it the screen timeout to 10secs (this hasn’t impacted the battery drain so far). Since I’m running the v1.5 firmware, it doesn’t come with wiiwatch which is weird but its a good thing cus I don’t have to disable it.

Today’s report:
6.30am unplugged from charger
6.45am already 95%. Screen was off during this 15mins
7.30am its already at 82% screen was not on more than 3mins. Had to reconnect watchdroid that’s it.
7.35am 80% tsk tsk tsk
7.40am 77%
8.00am 77% think its stuck
8.55am 69%
9.18am 59% not looking so good right? Lol
10.13am 53% seems like its dropping a little slower now?
11.20am 39%
1.49pm 15%
2.30pm 5% plug back into charger

4.30pm 100% fully charged. Unplug from charger
9.24pm 85% accidentally fell asleep lol ok 15% after 5hrs is impressive. I’ll have to see if its stuck or its finally fixed
10.20pm 82% looking good so far

Hello all. Just wanted to update my current battery usage. It’s now 7:26pm and I still have 23% charge. Also to thank bicboi69 for the suggestion to turn on wifi with Bluetooth. It works like a charm on my watch for stabilizing my Bluetooth connection. I had it connected for over 4 hours with no drops, but I have to leave wifi on. The second I turn it off Bluetooth goes for a walk. So far no significant battery drain leaving it on. I’m liking this watch more and more.

Actually once you connected to watchdroid with both BT n wifi on. You can switch off wifi after that, it should stay connected.
