No, that is the best option to use.

If you are worried about the firmware version you can always flash back to the previous version…

This is a wierd problem I have to admit…?

It’s almost as if the watch has been placed next to a strong magnet…
This kind of distortion can be caused by a magnetic field.

So - it was fine before you flashed it?
I mean the screen was fine?

Yeap the screen was fine before flashing lol and now after reflashing via firmware upgrade & download only. Still the same. Sooo what now? I can’t find the v1.5 firmware anywhere though.

All I’ve done so far was made the watch worse, i don’t think the battery issue has been fixed either.

bicboi69

Don’t bother with the factory reset or any other attempts to fix it.
I have confirmed that this is a known issue for only some watches…
A new version will be available soon to address the problem.
Flashing back to v1.5 should fix the problem if it is intolerable for now.

Thanks for the verification! Do u by any chance have the v1.5 firmware? Im probably gonna flash it back

I thought I posted it in the firmware page for these watches…
I’ll have a look

It’s here goo.gl/mxotg7

I had posted it in the firmware section as well…

Some reports came back to me saying that they thought the BT calling apk was missing from this version… But I did not understand why ?

If it’s missing - let me know.

Try the Firmware Upgrade option in the flash tool again.

It is the best option.

Cheers

Thanks Pablo! I’ve seen in another thread regarding a solution for the BT call, but seems a little complicated for me. So the special firmware for v1.6 is not out yet or is it already available somewhere?

Yeap BT call is gone. I was expecting the original zeblaze firmware but i guess that firmware is now gone forever lol

No, I will get it tonight.
Have a little faith in our capabilities

but yea i would still suggest a dedicated thread for a complete guide to rooting. Or does it already exist? I havent gone too deep into this forum n check anything thats a year old

bicboi69
I am receiving it now from China.
I can upload it overnight for you. It is a bit slow so as I am in Australia and it is already 8pm - it will be tomorrow.

There is no need for a guide.
A custom recovery has been developed and is here on the forum in the development section.
It’s a very simple process to flash the recovery and then either flash SuperSu or Magisk and the job is done.

I’ll look into it if my battery is persistently bad. But for now I’ll just wait on the fixed firmware and give it a day to see if battery life gets any better. I mean even if i root it and find out which app is draining the battery. For now with only search settings installed, it cant be a 3rd party app draining the battery right?

I do wonder how long does it usually take for the battery meter to read properly? Yesterday was my 3rd day with it and it was still draining quickly. Since i only just flashed the firmware i guess I’ll have to wait n see how it goes for now? Whats your take on this? Bad battery or was it zeblaze original v1.5 firmware? This is getting a little frustrating

EDIT: I also just installed shareit and accubattery. At the moment im pretty sure my battery meter is messed up since i literally flashed it like 5 times today n the battery reading was jumping back n forth after every flash

And I would like to report that the v1.6 firmware seems to turn off my watch while its charging… maybe you could help me verify if that’s common seeing that this v1.6 firmware isnt very compatible with my device

Just flash the 1.6 version and try to root it and place  the boot from Magisk manager patch and the TWRP recovery  in so flash tool this version is better

leafar

He has the 1.6 version.
He flashed it today but is suffering from bad power consumption and artifacts on the screen at the 3 o’clock position.

I got confirmation and it is a known issue with version 1.6.

I am thinking that outdated Google Services might be causing the power problem. Once it’s updated I think it would improve,…

I had my Google Play Services updated when i first got the watch so it might not be that either.

But it seems like battery aint too bad on v1.6 now. What do u think? 93% to 78% after almost 3hours. Only BT n Wrist gesture on. Pedometer is off as well.
