LEMFO LEM7 - Discussion thread

krapulant, have you tried Watch Droid or you just tried Wiiwatch2? Not too disappointed with the large bezel on the whole screen?

Not tried watch Droid yet.

No, I would rather have edge to edge, but the plain black I’d OK with me. I was looking for a classic watch. L

Watchdroid does not support this BT stack as far as I know. So it will keep disconnecting I think.
Can always try it though.

Yes it is available and works really well.
It has automatic connection enabled for IOS and Android. So once you are connected it will allways connect.

It has our forum link embedded in the app under Get Support button

One thing - you HAVE to use the app to make the connection for BT. Never use the phone or watch Bluetooth settings for pairing.

The BT listener absolutely HAS to be connected using the watch and phone WiiWatch2 apps only.

Dear all I have a problem with this Watch! I am in Italy… After connection with smartphone and Watch it not will take the correct date and hour… Why??? How is possible this?

WiiWatch2 works OK for me.

If you are thinking about buying the Lem7 or the Thor 4 to use the fitness functions available on the watch you need to watch Mr. Ticks latest video. He spells out how it is basically useless as a fitness tracker because of the way it records the information. Also nothing is transferred to the WiiWatch 2 app for review. It only provides basic step and heartbeat information on the app. I also noticed that when he was utilizing an app to record activity the heart rate information was being recorded even though he was not wearing the watch. Basically you could make a complete Outdoor run from your couch just by swinging your arm back and forth and burn calories. Why they didn't use the GPS to make these functions viable and accurate is the question.

video hashed to save space - simply remove the xx after the httpĀ  to watch the video in your browser.

Sorry about this but we have run out of space and since we have no money and this is a free forum - we have no choice

It this something that *may* be fixed by either an update or a custom Rom? Is the a LineageOS equivalent for our Android Watches?

turn on wifi on the watch and switch from auto to manually and set the time and after that set it back to auto. it has nothing to do with BT.

Dear all there is a problem… With this Watch I can’t use the Bluetooth call… But with lemfo les 1 i can do it… There is an other software to use? Pls let me know thanks and regards

In an earlier post on this board Pablo wrote the following about the Lem7: "Sadly - the BT stack does not yet support BT calling. This is going to take some time yet I think." There are a couple of other posts on this board that also mention it.

When you say you can’t use the BT call with this watch, do you mean it is not installed or doesn’t work? If you are asking why the Lem 7 doesn’t have BT call I believe none of the Android 7.0 watches support BT call at this time. I did read somewhere that it may come later if they can stabilize it for these watches.

You are correct. Thank you šŸ‘

We are waiting to find an investor who will back the R&D required to get A7 compatible BT calling stack.
Last time KingWear invested the money to help us get the stack developed which is being used for the legacy A5 watches.
I am hoping that they will come to the table again and re invest but it will all take a while. If it happens at all.
A7 is much more secure OS than A5 and we have many challenges to address.
Cheers
Pablo

Dear Pablo you are talking me that I have to wait the person who will finance this project of bluetooth caller from the watch?

The problem if I understand correctly is that this watch had an android wear 7 and still now there is not other apps or solution to solve this? …also about notifications this watch 8s not compatible with WATCHDROID APP…there is other app to be used for notification? Special eye for WhatsApp notification and reply…thank you for your support on this issue
Best regards

I just received my Lem 7. It has a few issues (that I am currently attributing to the introduction of Android 7 on these devices): The USB connection type cannot be changed, and therefore I cannot copy watch faces over to the watch via USB. And the time zone is not synchronizing properly (or at all, really) despite being connected via bluetooth to my phone and WiFi to my home network in California. I am in discussions the the ā€˜Official’ Lemfo Team, not helping much.

On the plus side, the battery life is amazing, and the dock charger thing is a great feature. This new MTK6737 processor is faster than the prior gen MTK6580.

If you go to settings menu on your watch and select CONNECT you can see USB in the list… Same place where you can access WiFi and Bluetooth etc.
Click on this and then click click on the option to enable file transfers.
Let me know if you have a problem with this.

About the time zone - if you go to watch settings and select "Date and Time" option and then untick Automatic time zone.

Then manually set your time zone and then tick automatic time zone again - can you tell me how it goes for you?

I do this and it works fine.

If you still have issues I recommend that you go into the option above this one called "Automatic date and time".

In here you can check the option to manually set your time instead of using network time.

Sorry about your experience with the "official Lemfo Team" - I wish they would just get over it and let us do our job.

If you go to the WiiWatch2 phone app (which you can download using the QR scan code on the watch) and then go to the second page on the app - you will see a menu item saying "Get Support"

Click on this and it will bring you directly here It's the best I could do for you guys - at the moment.

  Cheers

Pablo.

Sorry mate - you are at a misunderstanding here.

"I understand correctly is that this watch had an android wear 7"  -  this not correct. No Android Wear on this watch or this forum.

The built in WiiWatch2 app is absolutely perfect for notifications. If you notice my previous posts - you will see that I have already mentioned many of the great improvements in this app.

The QR code connect method is fantastic and enables Android 7 security feature - Auto Re-Connect. This is great because no user intervention is needed if you move out of range of your phone - it is completely automatic re-pairing.

The connection is extremely stable. No random disconnects or other issues anymore.

So the bottom line is - yes it does not work with WatchDroid (yet) but the built in app is very good indeed.

The BT calling dialler app is not financed by a person. It was financed by a company called KingWear. Makers of KW88, KW98, KW99, AllCall W1 and W2.

It is a very expensive job to get developers to create this functionality and as I said before - we will have to wait and see what happens about this.

Cheers

Dear Pablo about whatsapp do you have a solution to have the same account and notification on the Watch? Thanks and regards

markop1985

just set whatsapp on the watch and when you get the nubmer for varify put it in the watch.

*this app eatsĀ battery.
