Is there any stock firmware around I can use?

Yes there is. But I am at work at the moment and I have to talk to Lemfo about this first as well. I will update you later today

Just a heads up:

Watch: Lemfo answered me the button was black, it’s in fact red. Lemfo said the agent was fired and when stating the screen was not fullscreen, they said the screen was fullscreen and it was a “the customer is not looking at the proper angle, our screen is full”. Lemfo really is a bad company when it comes to customer support. People should wait for another company to release an A7 watch that provides better service. It’s been stated by a few users, I state it too.

sorry, but you can never be sure about the info that you get on the selling site, Lemfo is'nt the manufacturer of the watch they just branded it under their name, still it is a good watch from reviews here about it, it is a full amoled 400x400 display and you can't find even in the premium watches that display and if so you pay high price in any technical problem you have us:) we do our best to improve the usage of full android watches i think they give more than any other smartwatches on the market with fair price tag. for now as i've seen there are 3 round display lte 4g watches but the only one with full info is the Lem7.

I will never agree that having a bad description and no Lt accurate make sense. If it does for you, “ok” but it just doesn’t make sense to tell me it’s not possible to have a proper description on a selling site… The watch is out, they should at least have proper and accurate photos and description. It’s no longer a product they don’t have in hand. I do understand you work with them but don’t tell me giving false information is ok.

The product is good and the battery is a nice improvement and yes for the price the product is good but that’s not a reason for not having real photos and description, this is just wrong period.

coolsly

WHERE HAVE YOU READ that i say it is ok, you are blaming Lemfo for something the sellers put they do’nt have a control of what info or any pictures sellers put if you have a problem it is with the sellers and what it is got to do with us working with them?? we help them improve software problems we do’nt tell them how to improve hardware even if we wanted these is NOT up to them they are not the manufacturer! as we ALWAYS say wait before you rush buying and true the watch have big bazels and that is a downside for the watch but what you ask from Lemfo is’nt right as i said THEY DO’NT MAKE THEM!

I don't know why you are arguing. Whatever the seller, whatever who makes it, there's no excuses. If I purchase a blue jacket and the description states it's a blue jacket, don't send me a red jacket and don't tell me "because we don't do the jacket we post blue but its red" ...

Anyway, enough on this it goes nowhere. You seem to think it makes sense that a seller puts a different description and photos than the actual product “because they don’t manufacture it” or “its a new product”, what you say just doesn’t make sense…

Oh yeah, btw, purchased it directly from Lemfo webstore on Ali…

Ok, enough as you said.
I will address this issue with Lemfo.
In a less public manner.

Your point is valid but it’s not practical to discuss it here. I’ll clean up later but I will not forget to address the problem.

Sonia - don’t worry. Leave this to me.

Has anyone tested the hidden "LTE band2" in USA AT&T or T-mobile? If it works, then I want to buy ASAP... If some one has LEM7 in USA, please report

Just to be clear about this.... The B2 band is not hidden. It's there the same as the others. Also worth noting is the fact that the watch only uses 4G for data. Therefore, unless you want to stream a movie to your watch - you will get MUCH better battery life using 3G. Calls are made using 3G or 2G depending on your carrier. The watch will NOT use 4G for calls - full stop.

If you set preferred network to 3G in the settings for Cellular you will get a very good experience with the watch.

4G is excellent if you need to download something fast or watch a video over the internet.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Pablo
Thanks Pablo.
Based on what Splen wrote, I was assuming that she had to enable it from MTK Engineering tool.
Went to engineering mode and it says bands supported:

    1,2,3,5,7,20

But sounds like you are saying it has been enabled by default…
Also, since Mr.Ticks wasn’t able to enable LTE on AT&T network, I was guessing B2 wasn’t enabled by default.

It’s enabled.
You don’t have to turn it on.
But, it seems that it is not working for AT&T and because I live in Australia - I have no way of trouble shooting it. Sorry about this.
My guess is that the Antennas are not correctly tuned. But I cannot confirm this…

pablo11, if you need to troubleshoot, I can easilly test on AT&T, I have the possibility to test several carriers with a universal SIM, I can confirm it doesn’t work. I can connect to AT&T 3G in KR7 and T-Mobile 2G KR10 but no connection on any 4G band so far (tried Verizon, AT&T). They show up but it doesn’t register.

Now for Canada, it also doesn’t work on Rogers (Canadian version of AT&T) 4G. I see it but when I try to connect on any LTE network, I get the “Unable to register on the network”. 3G works fine on Bell, Telus and Rogers, 2G also works on Rogers, all those using a KR7 profile in Canada.

I get the same result with the LES1 but the 4G networks don’t show at all of course.

Hope this helps. Also, I have a black screen on one of the LEM7 if you are able to help that would be appreciated, I sent you a pm a few days ago.

I have the same problem after cleaning my memory, I deleted a few clockskins and now the screen is also black. Pablo knows about this and I think he will follow up on this. I also reported this to the vendor, Banggood.

Thanks Pablo and coolsly,
coolsly: have you tried
APN:NXTGENPHONE
or
APN:Phone
Based on www.att.com/esupport/article.html#!/wireless/KM1218306
This site also suggesting

apn-settings.com/att-apn-settings-lte-4g-2016/

I see many different setting for AT&T LTE from net.

4G data works on Bell… At least with a Bell SIM. Maybe you’re missing a few apn settings?

4G signal is not as good as my OnePlus 5t, but good enough for data.

krapulant,
Bell supports B5 and B7. Whereas, AT&T won’t support. So as T-mobile.
LTE B2 is the sweet spot for both AT&T and T-mobile in USA.
If you can install signalcheck, please check which band you are using.
I think MTK eng tool also reports which band you are using as well.

I finally had a few days with the watch and overall I am happy with the watch (especially since this is my first smartwatch).

I have not paired with my phone yet (I use an iPhone 8), as it is not working yet. Since I’m not paired with a phone yet and just using the phone for casually on wifi, and tracking steps, I am getting more than a day on battery. As I am typing this, I have used the phone for 6 hours and I’m at 70% battery life. I’m sure this will change once I am able to pair with phone and with increased usage.

I have a few questions/issues I have encountered.

  1. Gmail APP - How to you enable auto sync? There is an option at the top of the mail app “Auto-Sync is turned off. Tap to turn on”. I click to turn it on, but it doesn’t change the setting.
  2. The time zone does not pick up automatically. I believe this was already mentioned earlier. I was puzzled because my steps would reset at noon each day. I didn’t pick up that the time was 12 hours ahead. Turned off auto time and timezone, fixed the time and time zone, and turned on auto time back on.
  3. As mentioned in this thread, the “screen on raising” needs some work.
  4. I initially had some problems with Google Play Music, but you need to turn off “data saver” in settings for the app to pull in “my library”.

Thank you

Time zone works with mine... (perhaps it'the pre-release version I have)...

I'm located in Canada and Eastern Time zone.  China is 12h ahead.  I didn't notice, as the time "looked" correct.

Time is correct with mine... It automatically settled itself to GMT - 4 EDT.

Do you have a sim card in your watch?

Hi All,

krapulant massimon barnowl

Anyone who has the black screen issue after removing faces from the watch - I need to know if you downloaded the faces from the internet using the add face function on the watch - or copied faces from your PC to watch using the usb cable?

I had the back face issue but mine was a little different. I installed several (7) watch faced from my pc to the watch.

Several minutes later the watch face was black, and I couldn’t navigate.

The issue resolved itself after approx 5 min. I just assumed the watch was just installing the faces and it took some time.
