I am not overly tech savvy so appreciate your dumbed down input
Here’s the situation…
2 week old lem T - absolutely love it.
Today, when I tried to turn it on, it does not get past the ‘smartwatch’ title screen and when I press the off button it reverts to this screen again (it’s a bootloop)
I would really like to get this up and running again, are there any fixes that do not require opening the watch up (per smartwatch ticks solution)
Hi Brendan, is there a story to the story? What was the last thing you did before this behavior? Was the watch working normally to that point? Did you notice anything unusal before? Are you positive you flatten the battery fully and did what G1NT0N1C suggested exactly?
That said, Flashing will help if there is no hardware fault, this is true, but you will also lose all data and settings.
Have you tried accessing the watch via data cable in its current state?
I did try the initial run dry approach etc…
Nothing out of the ordinary in terms of usage / installs pre it bricking
Dont recall anything crazy, was working fine until the battery died…after that…it never got past the startup screen…
In the meantime, I flashed using the lem t software in promethians note…
The flash process completed and no issues installing drives etc beforehand
So I thought I was on to a winner, however when I turn the watch on…I have the dreaded lines…
I can hear the start up music now…but obviously can’t see anything…
Thanks…some signs of life but not quite there yet…
It’s starting up …see lemfo logo…I can get past the language, height/ weight stet up screens etc by pressing button on the side…screen is unresponsive…get as far as the clock wallpaper screen
Hmm, that already is quite a jouney with a watch just over 2 weeks old. Thinking of the first fault “out of the blue” you might just gotten some lemon here. Even if you get it running, it might just fail again. Maybe you return it before going further down a techie’s rabbit hole
I bought the watch from a website called A1 Smartshop, the lem t (3GB) was considerably cheaper than options I’ve seen elsewhere… So who knows maybe it’s a dud and too good to be true…
That said…at least my first attempt at flashing has brought some life back…and gives me hope
G1NT0NIC - would you have another link or 2 I could try please?
I’d prefer to exhaust this route before admitting defeat, I don’t particularly want to send it back.
I had a complete collection for all screen types. Unfortunately I no longer have it on my PC. I seem to remember that there was a thread here in the forum that dealt with the same problem and contained all the firmwares. But unfortunately I can’t find it at the moment.
Maybe @pablo11 can help, unfortunately I can’t. Sorry.
@G1NT0N1C - Thank you for looking. @pablo11 - if you could provide access to the thread containing the firmwares / or even access to 1 or 2 that you think might work that would be appreciated,
