I thought of doing a wifi speed test on Peak time around 7PM, with the LEM12 PRO on 5Ghz wifi.

Distance is about 10 meters to the wifi router, behind 2 plaster walls.

Router: Draytek 2926Vac with very long TPlink wifi antennas
HFC 100/40

It’s decent.

I’m just hoping the Lem12 Pro developers can make the next firmware update to support hidden wifi if possible???

I kinda live on a 4G LTE blackspot. It’s very hard to get 4G here, especially in my bedroom. Most times I get 1 signal bar on my LEM12 PRO on good days I get 2 signal bar on 4G. It doesn’t matter if I have a strap or no strap same results.

Here’s my LEM12 PRO with out a strap with at most I get 2 signal bars.

Here’s after my mod, I had to open up the LEM12 PRO to do this mod. You need a special tool to open the casing. Anyways here’s my LEM12 PRO after the mod.

I read sooo much information on this forum, that I got a headache. I’m going to take several days off from the internet. I’m a very old man.

Have a good weekend guys.

Metal strap… Hmmm

Looks like an easy fix, only 11 mins so to see from the pictures :ok_hand:

Yeah it was much quicker than that. I couldn’t figure out why my galaxy s10 couldn’t capture the colors, I realised the screen brightness on the LEM12 PRO was set on medium, it was a bit too high.

The signal booster mod, seems to improve the wifi 5Ghz just a tad.

I need to get ready to go to a doctor’s appointment today. BBL

I’d much rather see how the modification to the watch is done ?
I’m curious how you can open and modify and close the watch and finish by mounting a metallic band, all in 11 mins. But I might have misunderstood, perhaps it wasn’t an internal HW fix of the watch ?

I noticed there are a couple of people mentioning that they get issues with really poor 4G or Wifi reception when they have a Metal strap on the watch. I don’t have that issue. Results are the same with or without the metal strap. Having said that, the factory may have changed something, since I just got my watch recently. So your Lem12 PRO watch may not be exactly the same as mine.

Are you having poor 4G reception on your watch? If not there is no point doing the mod. I only did it, because I was having very poor 4G reception in my bedroom and I couldn’t download anything in the google play store, it would just sit on the Pending… status and doesn’t download.

I can now download on 4G with the signal booster mod.

I really don’t want to post my mod here as it might not be appropriate. I would have to get the approval from Pablo, before I do so.

Sorry

I’ll wait till I get approval from Pablo.

It’s a good weather today. In my bedroom I get 4G with Full bars

I really need to cut down on the Internet, as I’m not being productive at home. :frowning: I really need to take a break

Up to you…:joy:

Sure you can post it.
It’s harmless enough but people should know that removing the screws on some devices is getting a little tricky due to the type of screws used.
It’s also something that might void a warranty…
But that’s all.
Nothing bad

Is there any non-windows flashing software (eg. Linux)? If there isn’t anything specific, can we use adb, or is it a proprietary windows only thing

Windows only and nothing for Mac . Thsnks

@vader Widows is always the preferred platform for flashing using SP tools - as @Dr_Andy_Vishnu says, however…

It can be done on Linux and I have used it myself. It’s not instantly compatible (you can grab the few files needed) but SP flash tools will work on Ubuntu, for example.

Here is a quick guide and there are many more if you poke around on Google…

Thanks - I’ll give it a go. I haven’t used Windows since the 90s.

Well, it works fine on Linux as well so it is up to you.
You just have a couple of prerequisites to complete and it is ok.

It`s working flawless on Ubuntu 20.10.

Yes, I use it on that build…
But I have tested older builds too.
All good :+1:
