Sadly…

No, not sadly.
No one should be trying to use a watch as a video recorder.
It’s ridiculous to expect this to be acceptable.
As I have said before, I will be actively campaigning to have this option removed as a standard feature.
Recording video from a smart watch should not be done.
Of course it will overheat… Jeez!
What do people seriously expect will happen?

Hey @Glitterfart, just checking to make sure you have the actual Google Assistant app installed as there’s an app on your watch called “Assistant” and it has to do with tethering to the phone app. The Google “Assistant” app usually needs to be downloaded from the Play Store. In @Pablo11’s picture, it should look like the icon just above the Google icon. The stock Assistant app is the blue one that’s half cut off at the top of the picture.

Haha, regarding using the video recorder for the stress test on these watches, I figured it would be a good, solid load for heating the watches to get a decent temperature read after a few minutes for comparisons. Really didn’t think it would crash two of them! Then again, like you said @pablo11, who would actually use a video recorder on a watch? Not me. I’ve only tested them on short clips up until now. So in terms of seeing how far I could push these three Android 10 watches for a comparable level of comparison, the demo succeeded. Plus it got the point across that extended video on a watch is pretty ridiculous.

all fine by now I reinstalled google’s text to speech engine reboot done . I use my lem 12 pro as a standqlone watchphone

Agreed , I hardly use the camera anyway. I would prefer an A 10 watch without any camera with good sport, health features. more important for me, but everyone value things differently

Yes, that’s the problem of course.
Different generations of customers have different requirements - and expectations.

So far im very satisfied with the lem 12 pro performance , GPS is accurate and locks on very fast 3 - 10 secs max. The UI seems to be smoother and steadier compared to A7.1.1 . Google fit and MRA running well too havent tried Strava yet . Thanks for the input

Which one you don’t care, video thing or such a poor thermal management?
Video recording is not only or fastest way to burn that soc. Video is not thing to focus here.

People can and may and should record video, such a campaign is nonsense. Instead, you should be campaigning for better thermal engineering.

You must have missed my post in the other thread where I already said I retracted what I said originally.
But thank you for your sound advice.
