We can get this value changed but if it is not in the APN data base then it does not help.
I am following it up separately so let’s just wait and see what happens

Anyone can help me how to enable text to speech settings ? accessibilty text to speech got that but can’t set or enable preferred engine ??? what am i doing wrong ?
Do you have the Main Google app installed?
Not Chrome or playstore but the Actual Google app.
I found that if I updated the play services app and make sure that the play store app is up to date and then install Google Assistant - it allowed me to set google as the speech assist app.
As long as I have the main Google app installed.

I have noticed that if this is not there or is out of date, it can affect the ability to use voice services.

what is stange to me i dont see lem 12 pro in my google account devices has it got anything to do with it ?
Google assistant should have enabled this on installation.
It normally throws up a window asking to be set as Speech assist app.
If this hasn’t happened - I really don’t know what has gone wrong.
I will test again but I am very surprised

I will uninstall en reinstall but when i say hey google all works it pops up instantly even with BT headset can do all ??? weird
yes it pops up in a blink of an eye
But does it announce to you?
Using the voice engine?
I guess permissions is another good place to look for issues
it replies both English and sometimes in Dutch according my search prefect
The only thing I can think of is checking languages / Keyboard /virtual keyboard /manage keyboard /tick Google voice typing.
Not sure if it will help but worth a try.
