@Lawrence_Wicks Are you talking about the lines running from top to bottom on the screen?
Yeah! Only started after flashingā¦
Well that is very unfortunate because it has nothing at all to do with flashing.
This happens normally after the watch has been knocked against something or dropped.
Itās a hardware problem. Nothing that flashing has any effect on.
Itās sometimes the screen ribbon cable has been disturbed and is not connecting to the main board properly or the screen itself has failed.
Unfortunately, taking these apart and trying to investigate the problem can cause cracking around the screws. The other issue is that the watch is assembled in such a way that it is extremely difficult to access the cable that āmightā be a problem. I say this because you may go to all the trouble of checking the ribbon cable but it is more frequently the screen itself.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news
Ok people
New LEM T and Ticwris Max firmware added to the top post - which I have just taken ownership of for this purpose.
The new editions are mostly to fix the recent google issues so we have included the updated GMS.
However - you might find some other improvements in there that the 2 brands have added.
We donāt have any information about what these extras may be because as usual, there is no update log included.
These updates are for the 3+32 versions.
If you have the 1+16 version or are in any doubt at all - just flash the system partition and factory reset.
If you have a LEM T or a Ticwris Max this firmware can be flashed as a whole on both/either watches. As long as you choose firmware upgrade option in SP Flash tool.
Iām adding a set of updated tools as well - just the auto installer for MTK drivers and a good version of the flash tool.
Please have a look at youtube if you have any doubts about how to flash. There are so many āhow toā videos availableā¦
I will also mention that lately some Anti Virus solutions seem to be quarantining some files in the firmware folder. Notably the Tee partition file.
If you load the scatter file and you get an error about missing items - this is the reason. False positives.
Anyway, give me a couple of minutes to add to the OP and - enjoy
No Probs Pabloā¦ hijack away and thanks for the new firmwares
Thanks mate
Hi roswell108, Please I have been reading avidly and scanning over pages and pages. All of your and everyoneās work is greatly appreciated and I am running the latest Max firmware well not 1.6. but the 1.2 above. my problems begin when I try the rooting process I am becoming unstuck, it could be the reboot into recovery that Iām missing (how)
I copied the boot.img from this updated firmware TICWRIS_MAX_V1.2_20200107 and into the sd root on the LEMT.
I copied the recovery_C10_480X640_LFLT.img to the same location and renamed it recovery.img
I copied the Magisk-v20.4.zip into the same location.
I copied the same boot.img and recovery.img into a copied folder of the TICWRIS_MAX_V1.2_20200107 and called it TICWRIS_MAX_V1.2_20200107 EDITED so it has the same boot.img and recovery.img in the same firmware. that worked well.
re did debug and boot loader and flashed boot and recovery from the new TICWRIS_MAX_V1.2_20200107 EDITED folder.
now Iām stuck and unsure how to root with twrp and Magisk. This is a little frustrating. I think Iām not getting how the two work and the boot into recovery functionality.
Any help would be very much appreciated. The SP Flash Tool works well and I believe Iām messing up. apologies
If you follow the instructions you should do this:
which means to flash the recovery image to the boot partition
Thank you so much it seems my confusion is resolved. Thank you guys really appreciate your support and help!!!
ahh okā¦ when I read that in 7.5 i was confusedā¦ ā¦ I still am Iāll try it
If you look at the very first post you will find a patched boot and twrp recovery.
If you flash both the boot and recovery ONLY in the flash tool you can then copy magisk install to your storage and use ADB to reboot to recovery to flash the Magisk install.
I think I have done this, I used the C10 recovery for the boot.img and I booted into twrp then followed your instructions twrp came up and I reverted to the boot.img that came with the MAX firmware and patched using Magisk.zip. I now have a great rooted system using airdroid and a few other things which is great. Iāll look into Magisk to enable more modules and try and get some more skins for Universal Launcher New Gen. So glad to be here
Cool.
Glad you were successful.
One other question, can I upgrade to v1.9 TICWRIS_MAX_V1.9 just using the system.img or will this undo all my work with the rooting process, I have no problem repeating the process, just a question of stability I guess?
Is there a link to download the 1.9? Didnt realize there was any further updates.
Hi! Iām very thankful for this easy to follow guide, you made my life super easier! But now that iām on Ticwris, my system shows an OTA Update, it downloads fine, and restarts the watch, but installing on recovery suddendly it gives an error.
How can i apply this update? It doesnt matter if if have to use Flashtool, but iām kinda lost in this thread on what to do next. Thanks!
I just followed the instructions again using the 1.9 firmware at the very very top of this page
So wanted to post for you guys that if your using linux you can download the linux version of the spflashtool. However, one of the issues I ran into trying to run it is that i get an error that libpng12.so.0 is missing. Apparently most if not all linux distros uses libpng16.so.0. However, I was able to find the libpng12.so.0, download and all i needed to do is open the spflashtool folder and put it in the lib folder. After that it worked like a charm. If anyone is using linux or want to be able to switch to their linux system, let me know and i will post a download link.
So I got the TicWris Max 1.9 installed. It seems pretty good for them most part. But has anyone experienced bluetooth randomly disconnecting? Also has anyone done a review of any kind of other one of the firmware updates? If so please post a link. Thanks.
