“Oops no mirrors found” for that download - did you also fail with the supplied driver in the Flashing Tutorial zip ?

where you see no mirrors found? I can download the driver
I installed only this driver because last version, not that on video.
I followed the guide in the link posted for intall in Windows 10.

It said so when I tried to download - I tried from my phone and there I was able to download.
I have the driver installed, I hear the sound when windows attaches the device and I have a “Prime” device in the device manager, when the watch is connected. When the watch is booted I can move files to/from the watch with Explorer.
If I connect the watch in Powered Off state, I see the Kospet logo on the watch, then I hear the windows device attach sound, and then the battery charge animation starts until 3/4 full, then freezes and after some seconds black screen. If I press the top button on watch, screen turns on again and shows me the frozen battery charge indicator. Flash download is never initiated… (or do I need to wait for many minutes before the download indicator starts moving ?)

There is definitely a 32bit version and I will upload it if you need it.
I know it sounds weird but it’s very possible that the cable can be the problem.

That video needs updating so I will deal with it.
The watch is supposed to be off when you flash but some people have it powered on and reboot it while it’s attached to start the flash on reboot.

But - none of this is going to work unless the VCOM port driver is installed correctly.

Firstly you should reboot your win 10 by going to restore menu in win 10 settings and select the trouble shoot mode.
Reboot to the menu that allows you to use unsigned drivers.
Once rebooted to this mode install the 32bit package and reboot again.

Then go to device manager and from the top menu select add legacy hardware and choose the MTK VCOM.

That should do the trick for the driver installation. But some stuff here to help:

Drivers - use the install .exe https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3xyOuab2f-OOTk3cFZFN2pEQ1U/view?usp=sharing

Annoying but easy to follow video for driver install https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbJCbdfPlF8

Very thorough flashing tutorial from HovaTech https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzyYXAflmOk

That’s weird, I could have sworn I posted a link earlier?
Does this link give different information about installing?

This link shows several methods to achieve the same purpose, I published it to be useful to someone. Happy Easter.

Hello.
Have you a changelog for this version ?

Just updated from 1.4 to 1.8B. As usual i flash everything excepted the user-data partition (excepted in cases when the partitioning is changed between two releases, but it’s very rare cases). So everything reboot correctly with all my apps and preferences.
I know it’s not the recommended way, but if it doesn’t work stable, then you can do the recommended way.

Great timing @pablo11. Thanks…

Okay, I am sufficiently confused. Version 1-7b was released on 6 April and now version 1-8b is released today. What changed? Was there a bug in 1-7b that needed a fix? I’m not sure Kospet has ever moved so fast between versions. Any clarification would be appreciated.

All I found out was that V1.7 was a bug fix for the heart beat monitor not working properly for people with very dark skin.

I don’t about 1.8 because I haven’t spoken to them about it yet.

I’ve tested V.1.8 now for one day. Everything works fine, battery is good like V.1.7. Heartrate Sensor seems to be better then V.1.6. :+1:

I just installed titanium back up and it says it won’t work cause I’ve not rooted the watch. Have you guys rooted it?

yes sure, because,if not rooted,it backup only the app apk and not the app data.
If not rooted, you can do what Eric have told before, when flash, uncheck the user partition so you don’t lose your data.
bye

After flash 1.8b the watch does not start any more, device not recognized and now what doing? be careful before sending this file!
