Bugs: GPS is not working and you need to manually use MTK Engineer Mode to wake it up by Disable A-GPS to delete all the current location data, to go out on clear sky to catch at least 7-8 sats and then to enable A-GPS back but no matter that, if you are in Sygic or in Google maps it locks and shows very good real time position until you try to search an address and then the lock is gone … Never tried it in the previous version because I’ve updated to the OTA from above at day 1 when I received the watch … everything else is working very stable, front and side camera etc, even support 1080p@30FPS awesome quality videos with 3rd party apps …

Unsure of root status, haven’t checked but it does have an 'allow bootloader to be unlocked ’ option in the menu.

EDIT: definitely not factory rooted.
If anyone can point to a guide specifically for the vision (If it even exists yet) I’d be grateful.

Genesis Firmware and discussion - updated FW added to the folder

So - here is the firmware (as of today) for the Genesis. Today I have uploaded a “newer version” of firmware for the Genesis. Unfortunately it is not very new But was all I could get. As a bonus I have included TWRP and patched boot for those interested. There was no change log and in-fact no details at all with this one and after flashing I don’t see any real difference to note. I have asked Jason and he is ok with it as long as people take responsibility for using it.
For example, if root is released - there will be no accepted warranty claims for firmware problems.
If people try to claim a refund of replacement because the watch does not boot - they will have to wait until the factory has checked that failure is not related to root damage.
