Unfortunately this version does not fix the issue with the hyt faces. Is there something you would recommend me to try? I’ve tried 6 of them and none of them are showing the time with the liquid. Should I uninstall this version of the launcher and reinstall the “main” one since this one did not fix my little issue or keep this one anyway ? Thank you once again Eric for all your efforts in trying to help all of us.

Is anyone else running the launcher on an X5 plus? Everything seems to be working now except i get a flash up notification but when I swipe left to view it nothing is there. I believe this is different to what everyone else is experiencing as mine does light up and show the notification but when swiping to the notification screen there is nothing is there? Any ideas?

Well I tried and it doesn't work for me... same problem : screen goes on and no notification shows. It's getting on my nerve after testing a lot of things with no effect. So I'll get back to stock launcher hoping for a fix .

I’ve worked hard on a new version of the clockskin engine.
This time i’ve taken a white piece of paper and tried to emulate the WatchMaker .watch format support. This is not easy, i have to guess how the engine should behave… Only way was to import a bunch of skins and make them look as on the preview… This means that not all is perfect and probably not everything will (ever) work as in the original app, but it’s anyway an improvment that opens some doors.

If you find .watch files that looks good, don’t hesitate to share their links !
If you find .watch that don’t work, i know there’s plenty, so i will not fix everything.

So what’s new :

  • .watch file support (only not protected format)
    - date/time/stopwatch tags (reference here watchmaker.haz.wiki/).
  • battery tags (except temp)
  • sensor tags only steps/HR/accelerometer
  • No counter/timezone/phone/device/weather/calendar/tasker tags
  • simple script / chronometer
  • simple shape / shader
  • markers / text (carriage return is not seen)
  • Bright / Dim mode, multi screen support
  • lua support but NOT wmschedule, tweens, wmtransition…

not supported :

  • no weather support
  • no time/offset support
  • no arrow animation…

BE CAREFUL : this implementation is in Java, so performance can quickly become an issue. You can find watch skins with more than 80 layers, and it will become really slow !
Also, don’t use the watch skins that have a zoom factor script, it is very costly and the zoom is already integrated in the double tap…

RECOMMENDATION : You can use the WatchMaker app on your phone/tablet to create or modify your skins, then test them with the standalone App before putting them on your watch.

Improvments :

  • Double tap now opens a dialog box where you can : choose between Night and Day mode and adjust the zoom factor.
  • clockskin Skins can be read in ZIP format : no need to decompress a skin in the ClockSkin directory, just put the zip file.
    Note the the ZIP file should not contain the skin in a sub directory.

How to install the Launcher :

  • install the APK
  • activate the correct authorisations : SMS / PHONE / Settings
  • activate “Allow Peek” Notification, the app will show you the setting tab.

I wondered when, the heart rate and the weather moon would work, and if possible the battery of the smarphone on the clock.
In no LEM3 watch the battery consumption is too much, with the previous version I did not have that problem.

This is awesome but is not working properly on d5+. After i install the apk, i run the launcher and i have a crash message. In same time it appears a window for notification acces. After i rerun the launcher i accept permision for lockscreen control or something like this and it start. When display is wake up, old launcher is in front. If i start the launcher from apk icon, the screen goes black and if i push button off and on, the universal launcher is on screen.
I dont have a message to choose wich launcher to use.

Edit:
I used settings search app from gplay and clear the “launch by default” option for launcher(stock).
I will test it further.

the same problem when the screen in a squarer image mode


solution is convert to full-screen display mode (round)

change display mode does not work through the upper setting

You guys using Finow watches should use gesture search to get to display settings and reduce the font size as well.

I have installed this Launcher on Ourtime X01s with android 5.1. It works more or less OK, but in no way i can find, how to access this Launcher settings.

Yes and no, those watch works with the accelerometer, but I’ve disabled it for now, it sucks the battery to fast…

Exactly the same for me on x5plus. I get constant messages saying watchclockskin has stopped working. When it does run I get no notification. Running perfect on kw88. Really want this on my x5plus.

Hi Eric, Again thanks for the great effort on this launcher. But are you still working on resolving the remaining issues? We are here to help resolve the issue if you need our help but I do not see much activity except people making comments of what is not working. Maybe we should create a running “do do list” to resolve these issues one by one or at least find solutions to the problems.

i have asked before but i cant find a solution im running kw88 latest firmware your launcher 1.16 but the ring tones do not work as i use this as a stand alone phone im missing calls when i take it off i would really apreicate your help on this.

You mean that you’re always in vibrate or silence mode, but if you set volume level in system setting it should work as far as you don’t play again with the launcher setting…

Hi Eric - Just logged on since Xmas only to find only to find your awesome Launcher - I ran it yesterday/Today in conjunction with the latest OTA update

I feel I can finally start wearing my watch (KW88) once more, as to tell you the truth - I sort of lost interest with just the Digital display on Raise and poor battery life

Digressing - I installed the APK - At some stage I did manage to find the Raise Bright command - but then was lost again - I uninstalled from your uninstall me icon in the top settings

And tried to reinstall - nothing - was about to wipe the watch and start from scratch and found that uninstall app from stock settings menu allowed me to reinstall correctly once more

However - Can you please elaborate on these two lines ?

  • activate the correct authorisations : SMS / PHONE / Settings
  • activate “Allow Peek” Notification, the app will show you the setting tab

How would I go about this ?

It seems the setting Tab is what I require - but I cant seem to find it.

Edit… I found a Hand bright screen toggle in the top settings - is the function for display watch face on raise arm? - I toggle it but seems to make no difference

Edit 2 …   And forgot to mention - I have disabled the default screen on raise setting
