Clockskin Universal Launcher & Standalone App

I used this as an alternative for Universal Launcher. Thank you Eric for standalone app. In universal launcher i see two bugs: 1. The wakeup screen by motion is more sensitive or not work like original launcher. 2. Every time is wake up the screen, "no notification" appears and vibrate or make sound depend how the sounds is set. I can give more details for help.

Exactly the same for me on x5plus. I get constant messages saying watchclockskin has stopped working. When it does run I get no notification. Running perfect on kw88. Really want this on my x5plus.

In order to help i need the traces, i will see If i Can generate a trace file that you could then send me...

Ricktop. I’m happy to do this. Just tell me what you need. :+1:

Hi Eric i have asked before but i cant find a solution im running kw88 latest firmware your launcher 1.16 but the ring tones do not work as i use this as a stand alone phone im missing calls when i take it off i would really apreicate your help on this.

cheers

You mean that you're always in vibrate or silence mode, but if you set volume level in system setting it should work as far as you don't play again with the launcher setting...

Hi Eric Yes always in vibrate or silence mode, (standard launcher it says screen vibrate silence?)media volume, alarm volume, ringtone volume to maximum. (media tone works fine!!) when you boot into your launcher the android jingle does not play? not sure if that might identify the problem

Hello Eric

I have installed the Launcher v1.5 on my smartwatch, and it crushed to many time, v1.6 a bit more stable but still crushes when swiping the screens.

And i tried some (a lot) clock faces downloaded from here: www.watchawear.com/watches/watch-faces.html

most of them did not worked well (item of the clock where missing or wrong colors etc.), and some did not showed at all, only a few worked for me (Finow X5 Plus),

Is the problem because of compatibility to my smart-watch or is there is a bug in the launcher/API ?

Is there anything i can do to fix this or to wait for a new version of the Launcher ?

B.T.W.
In the app WatchMaker, i did not found there my watch brand when setting the app to work with smart-watch,
Any chance you know to what other watch does it compatible with ?   What other brand ?     I couldn’t find anything about it on the internet.

Thanks

Eli

Hi Ricktop, can you please change the 1.1.6 launcher when hand gesture is on to put the watch to sleep immediately after 3 seconds? Like the default launcher? Battery will be improved immediately for KW88

an other point is that when you restart the watch the steps are re-initialized back to 00000

ricktop: what about making the app opensource?
I’d like to help. I’ve never coded for android, but I know c/c++, java/javascript and some vb.
and, which tools do you use to develop the app?

Open source is not a good idea, since there are many hyenas lurking

For anyone experiencing sound issues - if you install settings search and go to sounds - you will see there are two services for sound. This is the issue. The first one does nothing and this is the one connected to the launcher. If you click on the second one you will see that the sound setting (if you are having this problem of no sound) has been set to "meeting". This needs to be set to general and then your issues will be gone.

ricktop - hope this helps a little

Cheers

About sound problem this app/widget works very well!

Opensource it is always a good idea. Very strange kind of reply, indeed. ClockSkin, for instance, is opensource. Like Linux, or Firefox, or (you name it)

Ricktop. I'm happy to do this. Just tell me what you need. 👍

I've generated a new apk that will output crash log : 1- crash the app 2- launch again the app, it will move the crash file on the SDcard 3- copy the WatchClockSkin_crash.trace to your PC so that you can send it.

Thanks in advance

c'mon. what does THIS mean? stealing is a crime. opensource is a kind of software licence, not a permission to steal code.

on ClockSkin page: clockskinmaker.codeplex.com/

anyway. opensource is a way, not the only one of course.
if you prefer keep it closed, it’s ok with me.

Did you notice that at least 4 different Chinese brands are using watch faces designed by members of this forum and of the G+ community without their permission? How do you call this?

I call it a steal. but it has nothing to do with opensource...
