Plan to buy the H1… Anyone can give me some advise for the pro and con about H1?
Thanks in advance.

i do’nt have it but i use the Q7 and also have the S1 which both are mtk6572 and dual cores not 4 cores, and i get great battery life with always 3g on and wifi, BT and gps turned on for hours and get more than a day of usage. with m2d on i get almost a day usage between 15hr to 24hr. i barely use it for calls and sms just if really need to. this watch is also ip68 that is important thing, antennas are NOT in the straps that is a huge + because i had a x3+ which i loved but the strap disconnected and there was no way to fix it a perfect working watch can’t be used just because of the strap:\ so the H1 is the first with replaceable straps. cons: only 4gb and 512mb.

you might want to see if you can get this watch at THAT price:) www.aliexpress.com/item/FUMALON-H1-Smart-Watch-MTK6572-Waterproof-IP68-With-GPS-Function-Track-Wristwatch-support-SIM-card-Sport/32823737878.html?spm=2114.search0104.3.18.tAq7Vy&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_3_10152_10065_10151_10068_5430020_5410020_10307_10137_10060_10155_10154_10056_10055_10054_10059_100031_10099_5400020_10103_10102_10052_10053_10142_10107_10050_10051_9983_10172_5380020_5390020_10084_10083_10119_5370020_10080_10082_10081_10110_10111_5420020_10112_10113_10114_10312_10313_10314_10315_10078_10079_10073_10120,searchweb201603_5,ppcSwitch_2&btsid=e0f2c2c4-e7c7-40eb-9283-e4e1097dfd2d&algo_expid=fff385a8-6c69-428c-9ea8-b1efe652a34f-2&algo_pvid=fff385a8-6c69-428c-9ea8-b1efe652a34f&transAbTest=ae803_3

I just received my H1: runs FunOS and had its 3.4.67 kernel updated to H1-20170729150357 … which looks rather up to date.
You’ll find ‘impression’ review on YouTube, and -sofar- I like mine a lot.
In contrast to some of my other SmartWatches (GV09, Samsung GearS, ZC01) this one has good results for GPS fix times, and HR accuracy (tested relative to my Mio-Alpha).
Still getting to know the H1, but it looks promising…   Figuring out Battery-Life improvements now, and will be trying to find out more Sports-registration/ Up/ Download stats…

I have been using my iPhone + Pebble Time as a very-well-working sports-tracking setup (using iSmoothRun which is ‘unbeatable’, but only available in iOS sadly …)
Perhaps the H1 can be my ‘single device’, but like I said, still getting to know some details of this one.
I already noted that while the built-in sports tracking uses the HR sensor, that sensor info is not ‘advertised’ over BT… which means other programs can not use it at all ?

I am new to this pro board, and have not seen much info from others on the H1.
Anybody working on that device ?

Seems  however "ZoiyTop JM01"  ==  H1;  Same watch under different names as far as I can tell. Photo include also from the App 'FunFit' that comes with the watch.

gerard4d: sorry, didn’t know that. Then your are right to post here.

Hmmm… I think the Hestia/Asta/Cond/Azhuoi H1 == ZoiyTop JM01 == QW09 == JM01 =about= KW99 =about= Sun S7 are all more or less same watches in technology, with different ‘finishes’ yes…?? MTK6572 with FunOS 3.4.67.
In my case of the Hestia H1 there’s been an OS update to H1-20170729150357 indicating an up to date OS, but a test shows it’s still based on Android 4.4.2 instead of the often advertised 5.1.
Although I don’t think the H1 is really IP68, I’ve seen the sealing in videos and read people testing it. IP67 should already bee 1m down for 30 min, … I read and DO believe you can take a pool-dive or swim lightly with it.
Hey… and if it breaks… I already had my 69 Euro of fun detecting and testing the device.

I did a bit of battery life testing (supposed to be 560 mAh)

  • 30+ hrs in the scenario of a regular Alarm-Watch :NoGPS, FlightMode (NoWiFi, NoTel, NoBT, NoHR, DimScn 15s … select whatever nice watch face and take a regular peek (the rest of capabilities are for ‘emergency use only’)
  • 18+ hrs in the scenario of a BTorganizer or Companion to your Phone: NoGPS, NoWiFi, NoTel, NoHR, Mid-Bright 30s … using BTLE for on-wrist messages from the phone …for moderate use. Reload every night, so no ‘sleep test’.
  • 3+ hrs in the scenario of SMARTPhone with GPSonDemand (location services), WiFi, Tel/Data, BT/BTLE with earpiece NoHR. Be ready with your charger.
  • 2…3hrs in the scenario of Sports with GPSon, NoWiFi, Tel/Data (location fix speed/accuracy, emergency calls, spotify), BT/BTLE earpiece (a/o better HRmeter), HR (is auto-on when in built-in sports mode)
  • Unlimited …in the scenario of a Desk-Piece tied via USB (data device) to your Charging-station/Computer. Switch on anything you like, and control the i/o, screen, keyboard with ‘Vysor’ on watch an on (Google Chrome) PC.
In the latter case you can do all keyboard-heavy stuff, exchange information, and look upright at the screen.
Also … in the case of controlling it on-wrist you will like the Floating Toucher as the reviewer on YouTube suggested in his tests. Without that tools, I gets ugly to have to sift through the sequential menu’s

As indicated, my battery life (indicated as 560mAh) H1 varies from 30hr (setting as regular Alarm-Watch in flight mode) to 2,5hr (setting as Sports, with GPS, GSM, BT, HR, BrightScreen on 15s dim)
So… your mileage may vary a -lot- on setting and intensity of use, but will not likely be in the range of the 3 or more day that my Pebble does in its companion mode clever-watch.
Hey… and the Pebble also does voice-commands and IFTTT through ‘snowy’ … bummer that the firm didn’t survive and now fitbit has IP rights an no plans to improve on the concept…

Currently, I don’s see anyone using this as a real sports-watch: HR is to far off often, GPS fix can take long, and in a setting where it’s really tracking … the battery life is between 2…3 hrs.
I don’t seen ANYone carrying out the ‘tasks’ of trail running, mountaineering, half- or full-marathon … without having a big power pack…and looooong rests.
The manufacturer might as well remove those options from the menus… as effectively nobody is going to be able to use them in ‘real life’.
And those that cán run HM in less than 2hrs… are likely to use a ‘serious’ sports(only) watch like the Garmin fenix … The H1 seems to have ‘stolen’ its design from that.
Ohhh and did I mention that the ‘sync’ or ‘store’ function of the sports-events is broken in the current FunFit program that comes with the device ?
That FunFit program certainly also still needs quite a bit of work to become consistent and reliable.

In contrast, I can ‘run’ the combi of iPhone and Pebble watch (companion) for days…hmmm but also need the Mio Alpha for HR measurement.
In fact I’m using 3batteries and an e-Paper screen in that comparison so it may not fair… But at least I can pay attention to the sporting surroundings instead of fiddling with tiny letters on a crowded 400x400pixel screen.

My hope of finding a three-in-one for cheap has not come true yet.
For now my conclusion is that the new set of watches, even with nice features as IP68 and Camera … are still on a gadget level instead of ‘serious use’.

I’ll be enjoying my H1 for its occasional gadget-lover presence, an emergency-phone, some nice watch faces, and learning object.
… will be following progress here from time to time.

gerard4d:
Very well said, and IMO a great summary of this (and probably 99%) of all the Android 6572 watches out there.
I have several (including the ZoiyTop) and your remarks are dead on.
The Ticwatch 2 is a good/great smartwatch as is the Amazfit Pace for fitness tracking features if you want to stay
within roughly the same budget.

dear gerard,

thanks for the detailed info. i think you are totally right about the gadget status. with my lem5 i got similar (even better results actually for standby / less with bt) results.

i really love the idea of a full fitted android on my wrist, but you can’t use it the way its intended to be, or else you hang all few hours on the charger (i work now in the office, but before that would be definetly impossible for me). in my opinion the hardware is more than capable, but needs better power management and batteries…
i will wait now for the next gens and see if there are improvements on that site and not just quadcore action…
i think also my lemfo is just waiting for a battery upgrade…

How about a watch band with two, maybe three - dz09 lith. batteries in it ?

Would totally look like crap, right.

But last three plus days ?

if you only use the watch for time and here and there using wifi or BT it should last 2-3 days or more without sim.

Yes, soniasophia, you are absolutely right.    And I do that ‘low draw’ mode ‘off and on’, too…    It works !    I have a low power soldering iron and some parts and am feeling like doing something stupid

I will try to hold on to the correct end of the iron this time and not use the acid flux . . .
.
What if I use this mouldable glue…

It comes in pink !

i think when the mtk6572 5.1 watches will get recovery and root it will give us more control over the watch and the battery usage, and hopefully also great custom roms:)

Meanwhile, my mtk6572 4.4.2 smartwatch (H1 == ZoiyTop etcetera) has a problem with its Agenda/Calendar.
A message is saying that ‘Android Agenda storage is switched off’. Effectively it means nothing can be put into the agenda and agenda/calendar can not sync with e.g. goole-agenda.
Is there a mechanism to switch-on the Agenda/Calendar storage again without rooting etc. ?

Thanks in advance… Currently this means that I can only receive notifications on events from my Phone …

Solution ?

(Looked, Searched lot of internet but nothing definitive found for my case)
