X5 plus battery drain

Hello friends. I bought an X5 + plus, and I’m disappointed about the battery. It lasts only 5 hours with everything off (GPS / WIFI / BT / GSM). I’ve done all the updates, I’ve already reset and the problem persists. I saw that other people also have the same problem. How can I solve ? Thank you

So factory rest, nothing installed, Google not signed in, all radios off and you are getting 5 hours?

Yes, after the factory reset, if you restart the smartwatch the battery lasts only 5 hours, with no app or login and the sensors turned off. I installed Gsam battery, and apparently realized that what it is consuming is the “IOS notification” service. I close it, and it automatically starts again.

Odd, I had this issue on the old firmware but not on the new firmware.

I did not test the old one, because smartwatch arrived this week and soon I installed all the OTA updates. It’s 11-01-17

yep, i had this problem and i did'nt not know what caused it i thought it was the updates but i flashed the rom and it turned out it was the Gsam itself!!!! and yes....the ios also has a big influence on battery life

I’m running that same release. I honestly don’t have an answer right now. Wish I did.

To help save battery life, try to disable “notifications” for the apps you don’t need
Download “Search Setting” from google play

Goto Applications>swipe right to “all”. then click on each app “But not the system apps” anything that has .com or .apk they have green icons
then disable “Notifications” for the ones you don’t need

important don’t disable system apps.

Also disable the apps that you don’t need them.
also from the Developers menu > “Animation Off”
and set background processing limit to 1

That should help.

from 8am to 6pm with about 30 minutes of wifi and normal use i go down to 60% to 70% battery left
but i don’t have sim card!

Another great app to save battery download from google play “Startup Manager”
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=imoblife.startupmanager&hl=en

Disable all from the “Downloaded” menu
and from “system” apps disable the ones that you don’t need. remember not the ones that has .com or .apk
example: calandar, google maps, youtube. basically anything that you downloaded.
you don’t need them in the startup. unless you want the too.

also the updated version has a great floating widget were you can swipe from left it shows all your customs apps and memory tools and cleaner also.
been using it for years. great app

No controlled conditions test

Power Saver- OFF
Rotate to wake- ON
Screen off = data off- ON
Poor 3G only connection (2 bars at best and 2G doesn’t exist on my area)
All other radios- OFF
Modifications to firmware or running apps- None
Removed from charger- 03:30
Battery check time- 13:33
Total time on battery- 10 hrs 3 min
Battery Level- 40%

I use the KW88 and before i also had a bad battery lifetime, a friend has a X5 plus.

Next procedure was giving me a better lifetime for my KW88 between 14 to 24 hours.
Because whem i am outdoors, 3G is on and give me a shorter battery lifetime.
At home i use Wifi and give me a longer lifetime.

  1. download “Battery Repair Pro” app is free. Run app.

  2. download “Advanced Battery Calibrator” app is free. Run app.

  3. Turn your watch off

  4. Charge full night, so you are sure to have 100 % charge.

My friend with X5 plus did the same procedure and his battery lifetime is now between 12 to 20 hours (was also bad before)

You never know, try

Firmware- January build

Where do I check my Firmware build? Kernel is from 11.01.2017 but in custom build version I can`t find any date. It is: ALPS.L1.MP6.V2.19_CENON6580.WEG.1.L
and buid number is: LMY47I test-keys.

So You have incredible battery I have only BT on for nitifications from phone (not many during the day). Some lookings at "what is the hour now" and a few minutes of wi-fi on to check something and after 13 h I have now 12% ;/ The curious thing is when I don`t use a smartwatch, wi-fi turns off or disconnect. I have to turn it on or go settings and connect to my network again. Why is that?

Today i got the battery drain issue again after one day pause.
To be prepared and beeing able to see how much time the cpu spends in deep sleep mode i installed CPU reborn app yesterday.

Today the watch keeps getting warm from time to time and when i check the deep sleep duration it gives me 7 seconds out of 3 hours after disconnecting from the charger!
Watch was charging over night powered off.

97% of the time the CPU is running on 1 GHz clock speed!
The battery charge info shows me a constant 100% over the past 3 hours.

Looks like a wake-lock issue?

If I was you I would factory reset the watch.

I have lastetst firmware and watch lasts over 24h with Wifi-on, Bt-on, 2G-on and use about 10 minutes of calls and few Whatsapping. You shoud to know - I dont use Google Services (not logged in, deny all access requests), Google location services and Google Play services. Last time I uninstalled Floating Toucher (due to noticable battery drain - about 6h shorter) - I discovered that it uses 2 external services (for example Google analytics service). So, if You can, try to disable GS and see what happens.

I did. Now i got a new issue with loosing cellular data connection completely somewhen during 13h of operation. Making and receiving calls is possible but no data connection at all. X5+ is driving me crazy.

Is there a way for logout/delete every google and gmail account, without total reset the watch ?
