Where to order CD20Max / CD12Max from?

The order was 100% through the Alibaba platform. They send you an order link in the message center from another user with the same name but attached to their Chinese store profile, and payment goes through the regular process on Alibaba. Order tracking also is through Alibaba.

So everything is pretty much the same as the other, except it lists the seller has up to 35 days to ship, whereas the other seller had 7 days to ship before requesting a refund.

Just noticed the order has this product page linked to it: https://www.alibaba.com/x/B1cz9v

As long as I can get USB debugging for ADB, I think I will be good. Probably won’t bother with trying to install Google Play Store unless it’s for science for you guys (probably will try Aurora Store first, and definitely scrcpy). If and when one comes in, I’ll check in here and see whatever tests you guys want me to run.

My ultimate goal is to at least set up the watch as an AI personal assistant that sends and receives messages (as voice memos via Signal/Telegram/WhatsApp) from an OpenClaw server.

You have no chance of getting playstore working on chinese version. Adb fine but no wireless adb on W527

I used the mentioned seller with no issues. Paypal

You can enable full developer settings in chinese firmware with root and ailife’s developer helper. Force adb via root and disable android go feature also with root, then reboot and you will enter developer settings once you touch the usb debug notification

Tested in CD20MAX 2025

Good to know that there is a way around these frustrating restrictions they keep putting in the way..

for those interested in the CD20 max Shenzhen Vision Wujiang Technology Co., Ltd. has now put two versions of a europe, asia and africa product, 2+16gb (Ā£29.46), or 3+32gb (Ā£34.08) (plus tax), with ā€˜guaranteed’ speedy delivery to boot !

Shenzhen South Mountain via https://www.alibaba.com/x/B1cz9v shipped my CD20MAX Chinese edition order from March 9th on March 16th.

Shenzhen Vision Wujiang still hasn’t notified that my order from March 2nd is shipped, even after informing me on March 9th that they had the Chinese edition in stock.

These watches are CD20 (not CD20 Max) with either SC8541e or W377e onboard. The seller offered CD20 Max (for $63), but ran out of stock.

Not sure cos I don’t have one - but most Unisoc devices have the option to access the engineering menu by going to settings, about watch, build details and then kernel version and tap on kernel version info a few times. @Dr_Andy_Vishnu or anyone who has a w527 based watch, could you see if that works on these please? I’m not sure if the code *#*#4636#*#* can access the full engineering menu

It may not work - seeing as the brands do their best to prevent people getting to any kind of advanced options. But, you never know….. It would be useful if it’s possible because there are quite a few uhandy items in the engineering menu for GPS, Cellular, Wi-Fi etc …

in w527 you can still enter engineering mode by developer helper, usb debug might be removed inside engineer mode, but divo(cd, xtq system) always can activate adb using developer helper with dedicated option

Yes you can enter engineer mode fine :+1:

Yep - @Dr_Andy_Vishnu just found out in a very sad way that this is very true :frowning:

So - be careful when ordering.

Seems to be mostly due to a huge increase in prices for vital components. Almost stopping all production :frowning: Since last week of February the costs for EMCP and many vital components have jumped from 30 to over 80 in just 3 weeks :scream:

Brands have stopped orders (too expensive for them) and so production grinds to a halt :frowning:

damn, these chinese are tricky, i missed that

(i was going to purchase one from shenzen south mountain, but in the space of 10 days they increaded the quoted price from $80 to $110, (which included the delivery charge also increasing from $15 - $30), though when i pointed out the previous quote they did offer me a $5 reduction)
