Hi mpmf!I’m not done with the images for the Digital Clock Layer yet
!
This was such a great addition and I’m using this a lot while playing with my designs.Would it be possible to implement some way of scaling these images? Maybe even autofit inside a user defined rectangle?
It would avoid creating many identical images of different sizes to fit different watchfaces.Regards
arb2040
That’s certainly possible. However I have no idea on how the user interface would be to enable that. I’ll think about it and if I find a solution to keep it simple, I’ll do it. In the meanwhile, if you have a suggestion for the UI for this functionality, I’d be glad to hear it.One question: should the scale be different for each image, or could the same scale be applied to all images in the DigitalClockLayer? If it is the same scale for all, that may simplify the UI…
I believe the same size for all is very fine.
So maybe Height, Width is all that’s needed for the UI. Then autoscaling all images to fill that box, if possible. Always? maintain aspect ratio.
This is awesome on my macbook pro . Thankyou very much . Donation on way . One stupid question . Am i blind ? How do you undo something you have done ? Looked everywhere ? Thankyou
My apologies . And i am blind . Just saw the bin at the bottom . Lol

No, you are not blind. You can delete things, but I have not implemented undo/redo yet. I hope to have it done before release 1.0 though
Thankyou very much
Marco - the bigest problem during my last project (Citizen) - no color picker. Not so easy to copy original color from picture of a watch. Could you please add this option?
And - no warning when I close app without save…
And - thanks again for your work - did you notice that there are more watch faces in G+? People use your software and even they don’t have artistic skils they can do nice watch faces. Good big step in watch faces development! Good for all of us
Sorry but the date as I should put it can you put the months the weeks but the days?
tutorial please
ok ok trovato
I’ve been away for a while, but I’m back now, and I bring with me a new version:
WatchFace Designer version 0.5
So, what’s new on this version? Lots of stuff…
-
Fixed export to clockskin when using multiple auto-rotation layers with the same auto-rotation, but different directions
-
Fixed “Group layers” when the layers to group were selected from bottom of list to top of list
-
Fixed “Group layers” when creating a group inside a group
-
Fixed bug on open files with HatchedLayers (stroke was represented as doubled)
-
Corrected bug on Rectangular corner Stroke when corner radius was 0
-
Added a Bump Source to the Emboss Effect. Now it’s possible to emboss by the brightness of the layer
-
Added a Decay Type to Noise Layers. It affects how the noise strength varies from maximum to 0.
-
Show jpeg files also when opening images
-
Added a ColorPicker on color properties
-
Added Undo/Redo functionalities
-
Added warnings when the user is about to loose changes
-
Added a new Effect: Colorize (single Color). Useful for B/W conversion, shadow creation, etc.
-
Added an option to import ClockSkin (incomplete, just as WFD is also incomplete. Ex: no Shadow rotation - remain static)
-
Added DigitalClock rotation (so now date/hours/minutes/etc. can be tilted)
The following video shows the new functionalities in this version.

Thanks for this update! A lot of nice additions & fixes.
However, it seems that saving to XML may not work correctly.
A click on the diskette-icon gives no feedback and the “(modified)” text is not removed. A quick check indicates that the file is not updated.
But, if I click the Open-icon - I’m asked to save the changes - and then it seems to work.

You're right. I don't know how I missed that!!! Amateur hour, I guess
Anyway, after 1 line of code changed, here it is the new (corrected) version! goo.gl/mJuR9D
WatchFace Designer version 0.5.1
Just a quick bug fix. As arb2040 noticed, the save icon (and menu option) didn’t do anything. Now I reverted it back to saving (as it should)

Brushed effcet Bug!
Perhaps the designer app skipped that part when saving or reading.
If you set the Brush Angle to 90 degrees and then save and reload it, it will be 0 degrees.

Nice catch. That's an old one, as it has previously never saved that property to the xml file. I need to make slower releases, and test them better
Here is the corrected version: goo.gl/CzshdG
WatchFace Designer v0.5.2 released
Just a bug fix on save/restore the Linear Brush effect angle. Thanks to stonefly for the bug report.

Hi Marco . Superb work . After creating and completing a watch face how easy is it to add a slideshow of images to follow watch face ?
Thanks

Do you mean creating this kind of images?
If this is what you mean, then I usually do them using Clock Skin Viewer by jacek (see /thread/1051/clock-skin-viewer-beta ). I basically just do a “Print Screen” of the Clock Skin Viewer and crop the resulting image in gimp. My app does not (yet) support the creation of these preview images (but I’ll add this functionality soon, hopefully).
If this is not what you mean, then I didn’t understand the question (English is not my native language). Could you rephrase it? Thanks.
My apologies . Sorry but i explained wrong . This what i want to achieve :-
A watch face that after a few seconds of being on the screen a second and third image will follow watch face ( like a slideshow )
Thankyou for your response
