Watchface Designer

And here’s another release. This time is a very small release. Just two or three bug fixes.

Watchface Designer v. 0.14.1 download link: bit.ly/2NBiYKg

Oi Marco,

Hi Marco!,

Here I attached spanish translations for last WFD release.

Thanks again for your time and effort keeping alive and updated this fantastic software.

Bye!

Hi you have done great job! I have tried all that I have read regarding VFD has run out of memory, but I am still stuck with 247 mb I am running java 1.8.0_191 (64b) and 64 bit IE/Firefox on Win 8.1. I have uninstalled all previous versions of Java, Sun and Oracle and reinstalled this version of Java. I just noted that Control panel/Programs the Java console says 32 bit!!! Obviously this is the problem but why is it not 64?
cheers mike

Please try this version: bit.ly/2S6s1pL this is an installer that will install WFD with a dedicated 64 bits java runtime included. It’s the version I myself use on my desktop pc.

Hi again, After installing and uninstalling java more times , regediting Oracle and Sun, Disabling all antimalware, downloading 64 java and installing without any web connections etc. It finally worked!!! 4/5Hrs…
Your prog now works very well without glitches. I haven’t tried the one with java runtime included.
Thanks very much.

A great option with a step-up reel. Would it be an option to set your own limit, e.g. 6,000 steps?

How do you install the zip file??

Just unzip it. But if you prefer an installer (for windows 10), try this link: bit.ly/2S6s1pL

Hello,

if I make an export in Watchmaker and e.g. setting “Everything darker and grayscale” and moving the Brightness slider to the left, on the screen it shows me the preview darker but the export picture is not darker,it is more brighter.

Could you please check this?

Thank you

Marco, is there an easy way to but the month (January etc.) day and year (yyyy) all together on one line on a watchface?

Thanks

Hans65

I have found something a bit odd, I have made watch faces with animated backgrounds and I have noted with all of them that the charge state only shows when the charger is connected and when charging is almost complete ie 96%+. If the charger is removed the state is still shown until maybe next time the screen is on, then the indication is no longer displayed. This continues until the watch dies…
I have recently read that the watch should be set to the standard WF. before making changes to the watchskin file, otherwise a black screen can result… I have loaded scores of files without doing this,(H2) obviously I don’t recommend it but I didn’t know, and this has never happened. However I have had the black screen (And/Or a sort of windows type screen) while changing backgrounds sometimes over 100MBs. Trying to do something then is a bit hard but if I wait a min or 3 then everything returns normal, obviously it was time for loading etc. I have about 4Gigs of watch faces so I guess that might slow things down a bit.

No. You have Year/Month/day DigitalClock type, but the month is numeric.

I can't do anything about that. In my watches, it shows the charging icon is only visible when charging (as intended) and disappears when not charging (again, as intended). I must admit that I never really  took much attention to it, but I've never seen the charging icon when it was not supposed to be there...

Hi, I found an issue that is a bit troublesome and because of that using Digital Idicator option is impossible. I hope that with the next update the problem will disappear

And besides, this program is really great !! That’s what I was looking for.

It’s really hard to see what settings you set on the digital indicator from this picture. It seems that you tried to use a transparent color (or no color at all) as the “off” color. That’s a limitation of the digital indicator. You can’t use transparency. That happens because, in order to support stock launchers, the Digital Indicator is rendered as standard “DigitalClock” layers (you can right click a DigitalIndicator layer and select the “Convert to DigitalClock layer” to see how it happens). This indication is also given on the “tip” area when your mouse is over the DigitalIndicator button. It doesn’t make the digital indicator useless or impossible to use, but it does require some solid painting style on both the on and off styles. Even though I believe there’s nothing I can do to change that, other then creating a new launcher to support this feature and requiring that launcher to use these watchfaces, I’ll try to think of a solution to this “problem”. But it isn’t easy, and it won’t be available on next version for sure (if ever).

OK I see. However, would not it be possible to do something with this in the picture below? Settings are default, only Indicator Span is set to 1 and Off Fill Color is black. But you can see that under the black color, the white bar moves around. Is it possible to cover this up?

Hey! I love this app!  I had a problem where I ran out of memory and it closed.  It showed where the auto backup was but I forgot after closing it    Where are auto backups saved? I had a lot of unsaved work.  Thanks!

They are stored in the same folder as the program ...
