Marco, would be nice to add this types of rotation text when possible. Thanks

he he. Actually, I've implemented it yesterday. Now that's good timing . I needed it for a watchface I was designing (see the month dial) . It will be available on the next release.
I was not sure how to implement it, so I’ve made text from 12 to (but not including) 6 o’clock facing the opposite side of the text from 6 to (but not including) 12 o’clock. I think it reads better that way. In your example, however, you have the text always facing the same side which will make text at 9 o’clock to be upside down. I’m not sure that’s what you intended, but if it is, I’ll add that mode also.

Yes, that super! My example is rotated object numbers or texts always facing the same side, because there is no hand just fixed marker.
Like here:
Marco, is possible to add a rotation type to the Text Layer, so that the most left digit (or the most right, with some angle parameter…) is always displayed straight when it rotates?
In the example you see in this attachment, I had to make it manually via Gimp…

Really beautiful, Marco, indeed. Is it public available? I’d not seen it in G+ comm, maybe I missed …

Thanks. I’m giving it the finishing touches. I’ll publish it later today.

This is actually what zsolt m just requested. I’ve already implemented it and it will be available on next release… A tough weekend is on the horizon, so I may not be able to release it this weekend, though.

Hehe, I’ve done that for other Diesel and similar for a Police. Had to make it from the scratch with the gimp, import as image layer and apply auto rotation type needed.
If this kind of movement could be done directly from WFD, it would be great and saves a lot of outer work.

Hi everybody!
Well, after several hours of work, here we have Spanish translation for WFD.
About 500.000.000 native Spanish speaking people will thanks this, I mean, when they buy a compatible watch and then discover WFD,
Just to say that I’ve tried to test it as far as I’ve could. Some expresions are not translated but I couldn’t find them in the translation utility. When they’ll be available I’ll translate them.
I’ll revise translations with every new release.
Thanks and keep on working in this great tool!.
Toni.

Hi Marco,
I’d like to ask you if there’s a video where learn the advanced design of hands, I mean, how to make hands with several sections (“points” and “curvatures”), I try but can’t handle with it. I get very strange shapes when dealing with several sections.
Can you consider make a video if there’s nothing yet?.
Thank you!
Is it possible to implement a different weekdays order? I’d like to have monday as first day of week.
That make no difference for round shapes, but very uncomfortable in radial sections. I cant create week shape with hand as in original watches with order M,T,W,T,F,S,S
Hi Marco.
I join to thank you for this great application and for further work on its update. I attach a translation to Polish. After the lack of translations, which I have already mentioned here, I noticed that some notifications with the description are displayed incorrectly (in the notifications you can see the html code). I do not know what is causing. You must check it yourself.

Hi edaniel, first of all, thanks even from my side for your polish translation. I noticed that the html codes are not well rendered are the ones where the are prefixed by \n .. so, simply remove \n. For instance, Line:
CREATE_TACHYMETER_LAYER=\n Tworzy warst…
Should be:
CREATE_TACHYMETER_LAYER= Tworzy warst…
… then they will be displayed correctly.
Anyway I corrected it for you: translations_pl.properties (25.15 KB)

Hi Marco, just a couple of questions, suggestions.
- For instance, and for my curiousity in this skin (TheBlue) have you used images for the hands, or did you made them with the HandLayer of WFD? Because with Hand Layer, I couldn’t have those shapes, trying all parameters combinations. The maximum result using different effect, creatings hands only by WFD, is just the next one:
But I can’t, indeed, make elaborated hands without adding other circular layer (as I did for the seconds hand in my example), polygonal layer, etc… and making them rotate togheter with hands…
- I feel that some coordinates parameter is missing for those images we can import as an Image Layer, but we wont make them rotate like a hand (so as with Autorotation Type != None).
I explain… Or I have an image that is already centered and the correct size (y=400), or I can’t scale and move an image in the Y coordinate, because WFD should change the “center of rotation” for it.
Let’s see (as you mentioned, images are better than 1000 words. :-D)
In this picture I just imported, rotated and scaled the sword I want to use as a seconds hand. After scaling, the sword was too centered for my aim(x=200,Y=200)… In fact, I wanted the Hilf of the sword, to be closer to the center of the watch, so I moved Y to 153… In this case, it’s ok to 00, but of course it misalignes when it turns around, because it consider 200x153 as its center of rotation.
See the image when I am at 35 seconds:
Thus, should be an idea to add in WFD some sort of “Center Of Rotation X” and “Center of Rotation Y” parameters, when Autorotation Type != None ?

Little bug report for marco.
PerspectiveTextLayer create rounded text, divided according to number of strings enetered. That works OK in case of symmetricaly justified texts with similiar length but works wrong for asymmertical texts (with different lenghts).
When want to put rounded texts I have to use much PerspectiveTextLayer - as many as texts I want to place. It cant be corrected by adding spaces between text and comma separators. Space is ignored in Text property.
Besides… in once enetered text, adding some new chars causing outter limit exceding.
Normaly eneterd texts No reaction on space chars Outter radius exceding after some char added (only in one area, even if 1/4 of length is preserved)Jan 15, 2018 12:04:32 GMT 1 gabolander said:Jan 12, 2018 21:40:06 GMT 1 mpmf said:

1) YEP, Hands design it’s the more difficult thing to handle to me in WFD. That’s why I’ve just requested a video tutorial to Marco a few posts ago.
- I agree. I had to deal with that situation since the firsts faces. I solve it with the Gimp, but I’ve always thought that an option to change the point of rotation it would be great.
Watch Face Power! ;D

Thank you. I’m internationalizing all the strings as I find them. When I started this app, I thought that only I would use it (and maybe one or two just-as-crazy-as-me guys), so I didn’t thought about internationalization. It seems I was wrong!

I’m not very good at making videos, but here is a video I’ve just made. It’s an unscripted video, so sorry for any mistakes. Hope it helps you to understand how it works…

Thank you for the translation. The tag must be the very first thing in the string for it to display correctly, so it can't have any character, space or new-line char before it.
