This new version contains some fixes for the bugs introduced with the GIF support. Hope it works correctly now
It also contains a simple perspective effect, so you can change the perspective of a layer. In the case of text around the watch face, there’s a new PerspectiveTextLayer that will apply the correct perspective to each text…
Here’s the complete what’s new:
What’s new on 0.10.0
Several optimizations (memory usage and speed)
New Simple Perspective Effect
New Perspective Text Layer
Some bug fixes.
Conical paint style (this was added on 0.9.3, but I forgot to mention it before)
The download link is here (goo.gl/4D8Vjd) and also on the first post.
And to see the new features in action, here is a new “10 Minute Watchface” video designing a watch from 0 to finish in less than 10 minutes and using the new perspective effects.

I want to make this in WFD ist possible? www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Omega-1310-watch-part-set-of-used-day-date-disc-in-fine-condition-/131546954749
As i mentioned on g+ with the new version i tried to open a saved face and got an error, sorry cant upload log cause i am writing from a tablet. Greets Jürgen Oberst.
I'm sorry, but the clockskin engine in the watches does not support day/month/year rotations, which would be needed to make this in WFD...

But now, if you try the new version, it will (I hope) show a generic error message when the dialog doesn't show and generate a log file (on the same folder of the WFD). If this happens, please send me the log file so I can see what's going on...
No it didn't fix it (but the zoom feature is great) and it seems to render a little faster when I open a project.
I found a “tinylog-1.3.2.jar” file, is that what you need ?
Please try this new version (0.10,0). I believe it is fixed now, but I have no way to test it, so you are my “beta tester” on mac
Hi,
same here, a very nice program, the old version works great.
The new version doesn’t open with Win10, installed java 8 update 151 but still no success.

Ooops... My mistake. During testing I've put something linux specific (or even worse, my computer specific) on the boot process of WFD and forgot to take it out when distributing. I've updated the file now. Please re-download and tell me if it is now working... Thanks.
Check in the Memory info button on the top toolbar what’s the maximum available memory for WFD. If it is less then 4Gb, then redownload it again. I (want to but can’t) promise this will be the last time .

Installed your ver 0.10.0 and SE Development Kit 9.
It runs fine but still no color selector, eyedropper still works.

If you can, please try on SE Development Kit 8 instead of 9. I haven’t tested it thoroughly yet with 9. I’ve just ran it now on Windows with JDK 9 and noticed a few bugs (mainly in displaying numbers), so it may affect it.

Thanks about not forgetting to add expand/collapse buttons. I know you’ll do it as soon as you can. Thinking about it, I usually inspect the layers to find those attributes that I have disabled and delete them, to clean my proyect. So I suggest that you can adding to expand/collapse buttons another one like "clean proyect (deletes all disabled layers and attributes). Think about it.
Perspective. Great feature!. But one thing, if I’m not wrong the only difference between button TEXT LAYER and new button TEXT LAYER WITH PERSPECTIVE, it’s the new perspective attribute. So I suggest that you can add the new attribute to the TEXT LAYER button and take out the new button, in order to have a clearly buttons frame and let room for new functions.
This is really funny. I’ve made more than 25 faces and now I discover in your last video that we can generate previews directly from WFD. Till now, I’ve made them manually with The Gimp, hehe. But the thing is that I can’t see all the templates you show in the video, do I have to look for my own?. I mean, aren’t those standard with WFD?.
I think it’ll be good that WFD give warnings when you delete a layer in case you press the button accidentally. I know that, in that case, you can press UNDO and take the deleted layer back, but I’ve never tested with complex layers, I mean with lots of attributes configurated.
Well, as always, thanks a lot for this great piece of software you’ve put in our hands Master!

I’m thinking on a “Simplified Layer” that will effectively work almost as a group layer but hides all the sublayers. This will allow me to save some memory (which is very important when dealing with high resolutions) and make the rendering faster. The user will have, of course, the option to “unsimplify” that layer to convert it back to the collection of layers it was before. When I make it, I will also add a simplify project button to automatically simplify all the possible layers…
The TEXT LAYER remains for compatibility. In order to be able to apply the perspective to the text I had to change the way it was rendered. While the TextLayer places the top of the text at the specified radius, the PerspectiveTextLayer places the center of the text at that radius. If i’d remove TextLayer, when you’d open watches made in previous versions, the text would be misaligned… When the users (you) tell me that that will be ok, then I’ll remove the TextLayer…
You can make your own templates (and share them with us, for the benefit of all). Anyway, the templates thing was added on version 0.6.0 of WFD. If you go to the first post and look at the previous versions, the last one shown is 0.6.0 and it has an extra link for a template pack. Grab them from there. Then, on the preview window, choose the Open button and point to one of the templates. The combo box will be automatically filled with the rest of the templates on that directory and it will remember that directory for the next time you use the Create Preview functionality
Ok, I’ll think about that. But usually I get annoyed when I’m using programs that are able to undo changes and still ask me if I’m sure of an action that I can easily undo. I always think to myself: “Of course I’m sure. I wouldn’t press that button if I weren’t!!!”. But, on the other hand, I’m known on some circles by loosing hours of work because of an “excessive trust” on the computer
