It’s not open source as far as I know. @Eric_Crochemore might be able to tell you.
It used to be on the play store but it became too much hassle for Eric to maintain.
It’s provided as is. It’s safe because we vouch for it.
It contains closed source code.
I didn’t know it was closed source. I assumed it wasn’t because it’s so niche. I don’t mind that it’s closed source. I only asked because I thought it would be more convenient to download the most up to date version through a git repo (assuming it was open source).
I found the first post confusing, which is why I asked. The first post makes it sound like the watchmaker support addition was the newest feature at the time of that post, not the primary focus of the launcher.
Would it be correct to say that the launcher is just to load clockskin and watchmaker skins and not much beyond that?
Also what is the best rectangular watch that works with this launcher?
No, it’s a complete launcher and it is highly configurable.
It is no longer being updated because @Eric_Crochemore has no reason to update it anymore.
It works fine on both round and square watches.
please help
i have the sam W6 classic. i have the universal launcher install on phone but cant pick it as a launcher for the faces.

It’s too bad that Wear OS watches don’t have the option of using a different launcher that supports complex watch faces anymore. Google in their infinite wisdom essentially killed all Wear OS devices by removing all scripting, including LUA, removed all access to GPS data and removed access to most other sensors as well when they moved to Wear OS 6. If you own a Wear OS device your watch has basically been castrated and only supports faces that show the time and simple animations. They then forced all software makers who still want to support Wear OS to conform to a new watch file format known as WFF which is just a static XML file. So essentially, the latest Wear OS update is just a big piece of DRM that won’t allow you to use any of the faces you’ve enjoyed for years. I’m done with any more watches that are Wear OS devices. Another dirty trick Google pulled is that any watches that ran Wear OS 5 or below are no longer supported at all so they’re basically e-waste now. I’ll not buy a Wear OS 6 device nor any other Wear OS device as the prices now for Wear OS 6 watches range in price from $300 USD to $1650 USD. For that kind of money I can get a real watch like a Tag Heuer and it will run for decades and even be passed on to my children and grandchildren. As far as smartwatches go, I’ll stick to full Android watches from here forward,
