@pablo11 I am using the previous FAW firmware. When you say that you recommend to flash the stock version/update.zip, will this be the only way to upgrade to the latest FAW firmware or you plan to post a new package that will install over a previous FAW firmware ?
Also, just a small suggestion: It would be great to have a revision number in the FAW firmware name (update_1234.zip), so we know in the future if there is a new version.
Hi all,
I had some problem while installing the latest FAW_S10_Pro_Legacy.v1.0.zip.
Initial config: First version of FAW firmware (full_LW_C15_TFT_LFLT-ota-mp1V91561.zip)
This is what I did:
1-Factory reset the watch to clear all data
2-As @pablo11 suggest, I reflash the stock version (S10PRO_LEM_C15_EN_V1.7_20210121.zip)
3-Factory reset (may not be necessary, but I don’t take a chance)
4-Upload the file FAW_S10_Pro_Legacy.v1.0.zip to the watch, and upgrade via system update. After the reboot, during the firmware upgrade, I got an error and the system reboot with the Lemfo stock firmware
5-Reinstall the first version of FAW firmware for LEM14 (full_LW_C15_TFT_LFLT-ota-mp1V91561.zip) via system update
6-Install latest FAW firmware for LEM14 (FAW_S10_Pro_Legacy.v1.0.zip) via system update. The firmware upgrade went fine with no error. The custom build version is now: alps-mp-q0.mp1-V9.196.1
7-Factory reset again (I’m a little paranoid about temporary files)
So, for those who are already use the first version of FAW firmware, the flashing of the Lemfo stock firmware before the upgrade to the latest FAW didn’t work for me, but the upgrade from the first version of FAW to the LEGACY version did work!
My Lem14 was already in international firmware… but i have wireless update option in the setting / about… so i updated to the new version without using flashing tools or going back to the stock firmware
It shows installing process… then watch restart and i am back to my watch with excatly the same configirations including my custom watchface…
Now i am wondering if i actully updated my watch or updating was failed…
Is there is a way to confirm if i updated succesfully?
I have also found that with this update (legacy.zip) the lift to activate stops working and there is also a problem with the camera, it makes colored stripes or does not work
excellent team work each time improving our watches more. I have a doubt and most of all because nobody wrote about this. After installing the legacy.zip the clock loads fine but no longer enters the loading screen as it did before, it updates it. the update has been made since faw 5/21/2021
and after updating it has been restored from the factory.
Hi, I uploaded FAW-LEM14-V01-20210522-1527 a few weeks ago, and really happy with the new look 'n feel of the Android system - with all Google apps now working it’s 1000% improvement over the LEMFO firmware!
Not being really tech savvy I’m now not sure which file(s) to upload to get latest updates, but happy to wait till the dust settles, or maybe Mr Ticks uploads a new video with step to step instructions for updates?
In any case well done and hope the project stays alive.
Great.
Ok don’t worry.
You don’t have to use flash tools or anything like that.
I will upload the correct update zip file for you and also for the people who are still using the stock firmware.
Check the last post from Pablo which is right above yours.
It is currently being worked to generalize and simplify the process, once done there will be only two versions available:
FAW-S10PRO-V1.0.zip: this is the common denominator you need to flash if you come from the default firmware.
FAW-S10PRO-V1.5.zip: the newest version (V1.5 is just an example) can be flashed from V1.0 and also every other previous FAW version.
The file FAW_S10_Pro_Legacy.v1.0.zip posted prior is defective and wont install over a the Lemfo LEM14 default firmware (you will get an error during the reboot). @pablo11 mention that he will post a new version soon.
