Yes, disable the Assistant app on the watch menu before using watch droid.
You are right . Watchdroid is not the reason for your battery drain
Guys, this firmware is really nice but I’ve got 2 major issues:
-
I cannot use USB debugging. It continually asks if I trust my PC (tried 2 different PCs) but it never remembers. This not working SUCKS, lol.
-
Universal Launcher will not stick. As the home launcher. This was a problem even on the stock LEM14. Basically, it works for a bit but eventually, just reverts back to the stock. I can set it OVER AND OVER again with the popup to “always” remember…but it doesnt. Seems like a reoccurring theme with this guy not remembering my settings
The other thing is I can’t find the battery manager app that was on the stock. Is that gone on this firmware? I kinda liked having that just murder some tasks if I chose to do so.
Any help on the above two issues would be greaty appreciated. Those 2 issues are really making my experience suffer quite a bit.
To enable usb debugging, go to settings- about phone- build number. Tap 8 times on it to enable developer settings. Then go settings- system- developer options. Here you can choise USB settings.
To make Universal launcher work, you have to go to settings- apps and notification- special app access. Disable UL in battery optimizer.
@G1NT0N1C Thanks for the info.
Regarding the USB debugging, I’ve already done that. It just won’t work as I mentioned. It basically won’t allow any pc to connect as it won’t remember it’s fingerprint…ever.
Regarding the Launcher problem, I can’t disable battery optimization as it’s not enabled. It shows under the list of “Not Optimized” and says “Battery Optimization not available” for it.
Have you checked the standard usb configuration in the developer settings? I am confused, because it’s working fine for me on 3 different devices…
About UL: Goto apps and notifications- standard apps. Make sure that watchclockskin is start app.
Update: I was able to get USB debugging working from my windows laptop after updating to the latest adb. It’s strange. I can debug my other devices on my Linux system just fine: adb version 31.0.2-7242960…which is the same version on my windows system it just won’t connect to this watch.
But now that I have adb, I’m going to try disabling the default launcher and see if that helps get the Universal Launcher working as expected.
I don’t have a “Standard apps” there but I assume you are referring to “default apps”. And yes, I’ve done that countless times. It sticks for a while, but then goes away and just goes to “none”. It won’t save! LOL. This is the problem
Ok, now I have a suspicion as to what is causing your problems. Did you perform a factory reset after the flashing process?
Well “pm disable-user --user 0 com.wiite.home” seemed to do the trick…but now I have a new problem: Universal Launcher keeps crashing. “WatchClockSkin keeps stopping”. I cleared the cache but that didnt help. Ugh. Back to the stock launcher for now.
Try to delete UL and reinstall.
Believe me, it’s working perfect…
Are you using the Play Store version or the latest version hosted here? The PS version doesn’t work well with Android 10.
Here is the newest UL version:
-ClockSkinCoco-3.5.apk - Google Drive
@G1NT0N1C I AM using the Play Store version! Thanks for the link, trying that out now!
Yep! That fixed everything. Thanks!
Good to hear you solved it.
New version added to the top post.
Lots of bug fixes around sound and notifications etc…
Someone has reported issues updating the Prime 2 with this build number.
Please be careful and always be prepared to be able to use flash tools if necessary.
At least until more reports come back from people who have tested it. Cheers.
I can’t upgrade.
When Android reboots, then coming the update process but stops at 1/3 of installing process, then the watch reboot.
Something wrong with this update.
Thanks again for your hard work.
cheers.
