EUREKA! S1 Lives!
So far so good, only difference, is that I can’t access the menu swiping left anymore (downgrade?) and when I try to update via OTA it says “root has been detected cannot update device”
I would like to update… should I do it thru the tool upgrade firmware or should I load the Q7 w626_l.q7.common.72.emmc.170707-155748 without the preloader?

Hi, I flashed it with the Q7 w/o the preloader and did not went past the logo screen. Now I am doing it with the preloader. Fingers crossed it doesn’t brick.
should'nt it be rooted if you flashed the watch with the stock FW, i get the same msg, i'm gonna connect the FW provider and see what is wrong with the ota updates, it downloaded the update but did'nt do nothing and now it says it is up to date:/
***BE careful flashing the watch with different FW and marking the preloader can end up with bricked watch that can’t be fixes only with custom rom (there is one:))
***i have to check if there are 2 models as in the x3+ and other watches and sometimes that can be the reason for the ota problems.

So I went back to the S1 FW. Everything is working fine as before, minor differences in how the UI goes. Google Play Store is working random, now it says that I need to sign in into my account which I thought I did already since I downloaded some apps.
The update is there but I haven’t click download for it cause I know it will say that has found root and can’t be updated. I also checked with several apps and can’t recognize the root and downloaded MKT Droid Tool, which doesn’t recognize the watch when connected.
How can I update via PC? Will the Q7 FW will work under the option firmware upgrade and won’t delete everything again?
If not, Im’ma let it go cause I don’t want to brick the watch.
There is a custom rom for the S1?? Is it here in this forum? I would like to try it on my Q7
btw. power wise, I’m currently on 24h with 20% left
but nothing activated.

well…it is’nt acautally for our watch but if i had root i would have tried because you can always go back to stock if it is’nt working fine there are other mtk6572 (here) custom roms but based on 4.4 and not 5.1, also heard there is 6.0 based custom rom, not sure where the person who said it exist did’nt give much info":/, the custom rom for 5.1 watches is in here: /board/10/custom-roms (it is for the z9 blitz watch).

i will check, i also contact the provider and if the updates can be upgraded by sp tool then i’ll notify here.
btw, The FIRST watch that the BT connection is great, i do’nt have any disconnections what so ever:) bit lags here and there but not much improtant and battery life with 3g (24\7) and BT for about 2hr -3hr a day and gps on only when i use it 1hr - to 2hr max i get about 24hr usage, but when i installed an activity tracker it about 15hr to 18hr a day and i’m ok with it:) the only downside is that i can’t root it and the sd card is just useless as i can’t move anything to it:/

I also contacted the buyer and requested to send me the SFW if they have any.
I have no problems with this lil watch except when I messed it up lol. After reverting and setting it up again:
The Google Play got fixed when I upgraded the Google app and was able to re-download the previous apps.
The Ok Google Voice command and the Google talkback when they show results stop working Now I have to go the Voice Search app and when it launches vibrates instead of giving me the blip sound.
Regarding the watchfaces some install some don’t, so if I want one that doesn’t I would have to do it again.
BT connection is great except I can’t close the app on my phone cause it disconnects, but I receive notifications for all my apps. Love you can read the Whatsapp and SMS without downloading an app. I disabled all vibrational settings to save battery. Haven’t tested the SIM card features nor SD card yet. Synced my address book, downloaded a sleep app that works wonderful, changed the keyboard color. Connects to Wi-Fi no problem.
What Activity Tracker do you downloaded? What widgets can I download to make the watch more fun/accesible?

when i flash firmware there is a third line asking for it
what version of the sp tool do you have?
i have 5.17

you do’nt need to fill anything it suppose to fill what is needed automatically. i think it might to do with the file itself.

when you say to try to use health and gliderun…are these apps that you downloaded? or do you mean the health app that comes with the watch?
