Running apps tested

I've tested Ghostracer and it works great. Ghostracer was developed in a way that allows you to configure multiple data screens to your own liking and also, play with the font size of those data field. You can also add sensors (bluetooth and internal) and i was able to pair it to my Polar H7 chest strap. Finally, you can also export your tracked event (run or swim only) to external training sites such as Strava, Runkeeper and another one i forgot..

So far, it beats what i’ve tried before: Jog tracker, Endomondo and Google Fit.

The only pitfall is that you need to invest a bit of time to configure the display to your own liking but, at least, you can customize it to the way you want it !

Max

how to add internal sensors? I cant see it in the menu, the text and background is in the same color.

I have try a few, for now I put my choice on Runtastic, most of the button are reachable, even in the full screen mode
I use X3+, In the first post it says it’s not working, but i cant installed it from google play without any problem, maybe because using updated rom or apps?

here my screenshot of it… I use runtastic pro, but the free one also worked.

Can you export from runtastic to Strava?

I use this app to export my data from nike running + to runtastic, it also has supprort for strava.

play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.syncmytracks.free&hl=en

Sorry all…
Recently I reflash my watch, and runtastic cannot be installed because the google play store restricted it…
But after updating the gapps from the recovery (pico open gapps), all the restriction is gone, I can install it again.
Probably that’s why everyone else cannot install it, I hope this helps

do you know if any of those apps are able to track cardio?

Yes, s health you can add this option and if you have a Samsung phone you can sync info of HR from phone to watch.

New No.1 D5+ owner here, Hi to all
I would try S health, since I have it on my S6 Edge, but D5+ can not start this app without SIM inserted
The Google Fit Im not able to even start due to not able to agree on first page… did not find on D5+, how to switch between square and round display…
Is there any option to track all the activities, like steps, heart rate, sleep and others on watches and synchronize it to mobile phone via BT?

weird for me the s health works fine and did’nt ask for sim in it, try to take the sim from the phone and put it in the watch and run the app, btw when you sync on the watch and then on the phone all the info from the watch goes to the phone but remember always watch first. i have a note5 and it works perfectly on the watch with the phone. i love it because it tracks sleeping and water and food and it works with many other fitness\sleeping apps. you can use the heartrate of the phone and sync it with the watch. i emailed them if it is possible that it will work with an app that a member here found that works perfectly with the hr sensor of the watch and it will be great if it will sync with s health. to change from round to square you can by long press button and you’ll see the options there or go to settings and to display and change there.

I will try with SIM, will see, if this will be for only first time and then it will work without SIM. I really like the lot of functions that this app brings, but don´t want to use SIM in watches

For square view, I´m affraid, that there is no option like this on D5+, if I longpress button, there is only normal and silent mode, then Conspire screen option, but not trigger for square or circle… Also in Settings and Display, there is only Brightness level and Sleep timer.

Another thing which is strange, there was in apps one app with calendar, but visible only days in weeks and months, just simple, so I tried to install google calendar, it synchronized with google account, I can see, that there are some appointments (colors in days), but no one day or detail can be still opened.

So I decided to uninstall the google calendar. But now in apps, the same green icon for callendar is there 3 times, can not be removed and each of it open same app.

In installed apps there is no any calendar app, which could be uninstalled further. Strange…

See in attachment, two are next to each other, third few apps above

that is weird, it is better that you reset the watch and see if there are update for your watch then install app, for calendar you need root to disable it for to make other calendars to work.

no, for now you can't add Cardiograph but i did send them a message if it is possible that they can add it to apps that sync with s health hopefully they reply positivally:)

I´ve tried to contact Samsung as well in order to ask them about no SIM and possibility to remove the SIM request, because I don´t want to use SIM at all
