Optimus 2 Official support Thread - Updated 26/06/21

I am missing this watchface too. Where can I find that specific watchface @pablo11?

On the Optimus 2 using the ā€œface storeā€ you can access whatever you can see there.
If you canā€™t see this particular face it means itā€™s not available on this watch.

Before anyone asks - no, we canā€™t publish their faces here and equally they will not use ours without consent or special arrangement.

This is the way the new face store works and it is controlled by agreements made between the brands and the solution provider.

I think I have answered this question enough times now and I will not be answering it again.
No disrespect intended @isgursoy :+1:

Cheers

Why donā€™t you share it here if it is ā€œoursā€? If not, who is the owner?

Ours?
Thatā€™s the whole point of what I just said.

It is theirs and we donā€™t take their faces and at the same time, they donā€™t take ours.
Itā€™s about mutual respect.
Letā€™s leave it now as we are way off topic here and I will have to clean this up if keeps onā€¦

I really donā€™t understand why you thought it was ours? This face is downloadable from their watch face store as @anon5802783 was saying earlierā€¦

He was upset that the new watch face store on the Optimus 2 did not have this face available, but the Prime 2 does.
However the server folder used for the watch face store on the Prime 2 is no longer maintained and it is now very differently managed.

Having said that, I have just checked the face store on my Optimus 2 and I have many faces to choose fromā€¦it just takes time to load them from a Chinese server out into the outside Web:

Tested BT codec support on Optimus 2.

TRN BT20S Pro: It took AAC. But, the hooks support AptX codec. How do I make Optimus 2 select AptX?. Tried developer option but it doesnā€™t open up options like on android phone. How to rename BT connection on FAW?!

Sony HP: Surprisingly, Optimus 2 supports LDAC!! and flawlessly adopted it. Listening pleasure!.

Default codec is SBC.

Iā€™m using it (and testing it) since 2 weeks, itā€™s probably one of the best Android watches I have tested so far.

I would have posted a some photos taken with the camera but for some reason Iā€™m not allowed to post images or use links. Can anyone help me with this?

Yes you can upload images and videos from your device. I have just uploaded an image for you to know which button is to be used for uploading.

Brandnew users canā€™t upload pictures. It needs some post without pictures first.

My ignoranceā€¦sorry

No worries, thanks for the explanation
I wish I could post more content but Iā€™ll have to wait. Photo quality is really nice compared to the other watches I have tested (Lemfo Lem15 and Kospet Prime S)

It will be possible after a few posts. Maybe tomorrow?

just tried again but no luck, I suppose itā€™s linked to the amount of posts. My posts still need to be validated before publication.

@klintistwood
You have to post around 5 posts at least before you can post content.
Itā€™s a common rule for forums :+1:

ok, almost there
are there any questions about the watch I could answer? That would help getting above 5 posts

have i got a duff watch, (and if so iā€™m keeping it anyway) ?

because so far iā€™ve never managed to charge it above 90%, and thatā€™s even using the pin cable, i.e. not sitting it on the charging dock, iā€™m perfectly happy with it, apparently you shouldnā€™t charge these lithium batteryā€™s above 80-85% anyway, and never let them fall below circa 20%, both of which enhance longevity apparently

itā€™s best practice not to fully charge a battery as it affects the number of cycles a battery can take. In an ideal world you should never wait until the battery reaches 0%, never charge it until it reaches 100%, never leave it charging for a night while itā€™s already at 100%.

Unfortunately, itā€™s not always possible, especially is you plug your charger before going to bed.

Using the portable dock (if that is what you got) it will not charge above 90%.
This is because the battery is the same capacity as the battery in the watch.

Itā€™s designed to get you out of trouble if you canā€™t plug it in with the usb cable.
If you are away from your home, for example.

The cable will charge it to 100%.
However, what @klintistwood says about the battery staying healthy for longer if you charge to 90% and stop - is supposed to be the truth for phones.

Bottom line is:
Using the battery pack /dock for charging gets you 90%
Using the cable for direct charging gets you 100%. If it does not then you have a problem.

thatā€™s a good point, i had assumed that on the dock while charging it would just act as a pass through, but as you say, the circuitry on the dock probably never allows for a p.d. between it and the watch to exist while the dock is fully charged, (how dopey am i), which means the dock is always the place to charge it overnight

which also points up to why they might have intentionally given the dock a smaller capacity than the watch, which i had wondered about, limiting the charge you can pass to the watch in the wild quite substantially, these kospet people are cleverer than i thought, and must congratulate yourself and smartwatchticks for both your early championing of this brand

Can you please reply to my queries on BT codecs. You can find it in above trails. Hope that will speed up your minimum post requirements.

It is not smaller capacity.
It is the same.
Therefore, it could only ever reach 90%.
Nothing to be worried about.

But if you canā€™t connect the usb cable directly to the watch and reach 100 %ā€¦ Then you might have a problem.
