What happend to Kospet company? Only few watches on site and nothing about Optimus 2 or 3 ?

Yep, most have stopped making Android watches.
Just expensive to make, difficult to get up to date Android OSā¦ Let alone the problem getting VoLTE network access in several major countries.
But mostly due to the rise in cost and what customers are prepared to pay.
There is cheap stuff available as you know, but you get what you pay for and most are rubbish (in my opinion)
If the brands had confidence that they would sell them, they would make them.
However, in real terms - people like us only make up about 10% of the customer base.
The other 90% want to pay nothing and expect a good resultā¦lol.
The people who made the Prime and the Optimus and the LEM16 etc, are currently working on something though.
If I can get permission, I will share some details with you soon.

Great news! In the meantime I personally think the recent batch of big screen amoleds are pretty sweet, though limited in some ways as all 8,1 watches are.

Great. Propably rectangle design is better for full android. One time i suggest to Kospet to add some things to top of the strap if no place inside ( like NFC )

Just seeing this post, and thank you for all you are doing. This forum is full of great informationā¦ Iāve been trying to fix my Kospet Prime 2. Iāve got 2 of them, one with dead camera and charging issue (fixed charging, couldnāt figure how to get the camera out? hoping someone has that knowledge to share). The other one has dead spots on the touch screen. Iāve tried several of the cheap Aliexpress junk, and thereās a showstopper on them all, the biggest issue being VoLte and not being able to make or receive phone calls in the USA. All that said, Iāve got an option to pick up an Optimus 2 Pro+ for US $115.00. Would you recommend I pick it up, or wait to see what might be coming out? Thank you very much!
Well, the camera issue is the ribbon cable running from the camera assembly to the inside of the watch.
If I was you, I would carefully transplant the working camera from the watch with the bad screen and add it to the one with the bad camera.
You just have to take your time and get the right tools for the job.
It takes great patience to complete the task, but the good news is that you have two to work with.
My advice is to invest the time to fix the problem and wait a few months for the new MTK M6769 board with a newer Android version.
Newer than Android 13. Itās still in development but the developer board should be arriving here to me very soon. So that I can work on the GMS integration for WWE English customer market.
Iāll keep you posted on the progress.
In the meantime, take the time and care to make one working watch from the two that you have.

Anyone still have their Optimus 2 running since it launch?Goodness mine still running in great conditionā¦..is there any software or firmware updates?

I still have the very first one and several more. They are all still fine.
There has been bug fix firmware updates which you can check in System Updates.
There is no higher Android version than Android 10 for this model.

hey guys thanks ive read all the extensive conversations and content here.
i got a kospet optimus 2 recently and luckily. Been great, but having an issue with network/cellular services: that sometimes the watch just drops service. When i make calls often it just silence for a few seconds and then says no network and tells me that theres no network available for the next 30 minutes or so even after restart, airplane mode off and on. Sim card is okay, it has been a consistent issue with the watch and is triggered randomly when making phone calls. Also messages sometimes dont send.

Which country are you in and which service provider do you use for your Sim..? Please check here as well Kospet Optimus 2 Imei white/black list
Itās quite possible that your service provider may not support VoLTE for this watch. It depends on many factors to be honest. However, your situation is interesting because you can use it sometimes, 
There are certain bands that your service provider may use. A good start is to find out what the bands are that they use (Web search your Sim provider)
Next steps are to check out the watch bands in the engineering menu (search for MTK Engineer mode on this site for guidance) and make sure your watch is set to use them. Next, when you can connect, are you able to make phone calls and use data on LTEā¦. If it is data only that works, then it may well be the Sim provider that is preventing voice calls (VoLTE)
You can also research accessing the built in test tools on the watch and look for a modem test option. Or similarā¦ and run the test.
Thatās the first steps to trouble shoot this problem. This watch you have just purchased was made a long time ago and is ānew old stockā. I really hope that it is not a hardware problem because it is almost impossible to get a replacement or a repair. Regardless of what the seller tells you in the advertising.
thank you for your response. I will check the bands but in my preliminary research i recall seeing compatible bands. I am able to receive and send messages and receive calls good, its placing calls that the problem arises sometimes (half or more of the time)
Yep, follow the steps I have given and check the data is working or not when you canāt make phone calls.

checked and for the most part bands are compatible, i believe there is one frequency that is missing but good for the most part. However, this problem has escalated because now only data and sometimes sending message can be used, no calling or receiving texts at all. I think it might just be old hardware and mobile companies ruling out older technologies. Is there a good alternative like whatsapp or something along those lines that can give cell phone functionality that you know of? thank you regardless
