Yes, pressing “imei information” appears the imei number and imei sv number. No, the watch isn’t in airplane mode. I tryed reset the watch 2x but didn’t solve the problem. I’m thinkink now try reinstall the firmware by this way: I downloaded te firmware Hope_B_20181217 and I’ll try install it via About Watch/atualization/local atualizations on menu (I’ll transfer the firmware to the watch using teamviewer). I dont have the cable.
Is it possible? If not how can I get an update and install it in manual mode? I dont believe yet in hardware (contacts?) failure because the problem occurred while the watch was running.
Note: In the first message the correct path is About Watch/Wireless update/them select local updates on menu(dont check for updates).

I think that is possible, but requires a firmware in .pkg or .zip format. Perhaps pablo11 can get it for you. It is a lot easier if you order this usb cable.
Hi jockyw2001. I turned the .7z file into .zip and tried, but it did not work, it gave installation error message and then I aborted. I agree with you and I’ll get this cable, but if by chance someone has this firmware that works in .zip format please send me. It’s because I’m in Brazil and this cable will take at least 30 days to arrive.
Note: By bad luck I need more this function that gave problem. I acquired the smartwatch because of the possibility of telephone calls and mainly whatsapp and I am without them.

A full update is required. Can be generated as described here: source.android.com/devices/tech/ota/tools
But updates are signed with a RSA private key and signature is checked by the recovery with the corresponding public key…
So you depend on an update package of the manufacturer or oem.
Hi jockyw2001. OK, thanks. I’ll buy and wait for the cable.

Oh fxxk!!! It's a tight fit indeed and the trick is to firmly push the block to the right while holding the watch with your other hand.
Did you manage to remove the broken cable?
The trick which works for me is:
- when connecting first push in the side with the contacts and then the opposite side
- when disconnecting first push up the side opposite the contacts and then the side with the contacts

Managed to glue cable end back together

Thanks for the quick reply I have not flashed anything. I already have the data cable. I did a factory reset when I first got the watch, because I had these issues at the start. I'll do a new factory reset and let you know what happens.
Ok, if a full factory reset is not helping, then it is definitely worth installing the MTK VCOM drivers and flashing the firmware. It is best to use a Windows PC for this. Not so simple using a MAC. The firmware is here in the Kospet firmware section and if you need it - I can link you to the flash tool and MTK drivers.
Hi again. I've followed the instructions in the video to flash the firmware. Initially I took the wrong option on FlashTool and took the "Download Only" option from the dropdown box. I then realized my error, and re-ran it using the "Firmware Upgrade" option instead. It ran to completion, but now when my watch turns on I get a "Teamwin" logo then a menu with "Install" / "Wipe" / "Backup" / "Restore" / "Reboot". How do I get rid of this menu? I just want the watch to boot normally.

I figured out that I had to select "Reboot" then "System". But now the watch has big problems rebooting. Most times it won't boot at all. The Blue "Kospet" logo on white background appears, and it just stays there. If I long-hold the power button for about 12 seconds, it eventually reboots again. Sometimes it goes back to the blue "Kospet Logo" and hangs, sometimes I get the "No command" error, somtimes it actually boots to the watch face, then hangs / becomes unresponsive. I think I might have to do a factory reset, but I can't get to the factory reset option in the settings menu - the watch just hangs before I get a chance to select that option. Is there any way I can do a factory reset via the SP Flash Tool? Is it possible the memory in the watch is corrupt? Is there any chance of getting a replacement? I haven't managed to get this watch to turn on properly first time since it arrived. It has big problems.

The watch is now completely dead. I hold down the power button and nothing happens. Just a black screen. No flash, no logo, no error. Nothing. I now have an expensive black plastic bracelet. I'd appreciate some suggestions please. Thanks in advance.

Does it power on when you plug in the charge cable and press the power button? Do you have the data cable?
I really think it’s time to return the watch.

You have obviously flashed twrp to it instead of the actual firmware. The twrp image will have been flashed to both the recovery partition and the boot partition, so as long as you didn't "install" the zip to flash the original boot image(through twrp) it would be impossible to boot into system. That "No command" sometimes shows up when you try to boot tells us that the stock recovery has overwritten twrp on at least one of the partitions. As to why you don't get any reaction any more, the battery is probably just empty, rebooting over and over again takes a lot of power.
You should download the proper firmware and flash it. You’ll find the firmware in this thread: /thread/3130/kospet-firmware-hope-3gb-32gb
I thought he said it was absolutely dead?
If it had twrp in both boot and recovery partitions it would boot up to recovery…right?
I agree with a full stock firmware flash though.
Thanks for the advice.
You were absolutely right - the battery had run out because I had been trying to boot it so many times. I left the watch plugged in (using the data cable) and it eventually recharged.
I then downloaded the 18Feb Hope_B_20181217 firmware, and flashed it using SP Flash Tool (I took the “Firmware Upgrade”) option.
AFter it completed, I disconnected the watch, and pressed the power button.
I got the Blue Kospet Logo on the white background for a few seconds then the screen went black - nothing.
I long-pressed the power button for about 12 seconds, and now the Blue Kospet Logo on white background came on for one second, off for a second etc several times, then TWRP came up.
I don’t understand - you said that was the Stock Firmware - why would TWRP come up?
In TWRP I selected the “Allow modifications” option (I figure I’d like future upgrades to overwrite it).
I then selected Reboot / System. I left both options ticked and selected “do not install”.
The watch rebooted the the Kospet logo, which then disappeared and I was left with a black screen.
I waited a while for something to happen then long-pressed the power button for about 12 seconds, and now the Blue Kospet Logo on white background came on for a couple of seconds, then went off to a black screen.
This is where I am stuck. I keep long-pressing the power button and the same thing happens with me stuck at a black screen.
What should I do now, please?
BTW the folder containing the firmware has two files among many others: recovery.img and Originalrecovery.img - to my untrained eye that suggests the firmware has a modified recover - is this TWRP?
BTW#2 - the Kospet site has a new firmware available on it dated 5 MArch 19, but it fails when I try to open it with SP Flash Tool.
