Have you inspected the contacts on the back of the watch for dirt or corrosion?
Wipe them with an ethanol swab or similar.
If that is not the problem can you check the cable?
Sometimes the cable is weak but you can test it while it is connected to a computer or charger…
There should be voltage on the two pins that connect to the watch.
I need some suggestions/Help.
The BT connection keeps dropping between my Kospet and my Iphone.
I have tried a factory reset and re-pairing and it works, but only for a few minutes or hours if I’m lucky.
Is there a way to keep the connection aleays active?
I am having difficulties when I power my watch OFF then back ON again.
It turns off ok.
When I try to turn it on, here’s what happens:
I press the power button for 3 seconds, the “Kospet” logo appears, then the screen goes dark and nothing else happens.
If I then long-press the power button for 8 seconds as per manual, nothing happens.
If I long-press the power button for about 12 seconds, the watch screen flashes and then one of three things happens:
- The “Kospet” logo appears, then the screen goes dark and nothing else happens, OR
- I get a black screen with a “no command” message, OR
- The watch turns on.
The behaviour is random. Sometimes it works, most times it does not.
Watch Droid says “Connected to Hope APK Version: 9.1.19.9”
Please let me know how I can be certain that if I turn my watch off, that I will be able to turn it back on again.
Thanks

Sounds like a corrupt cache. When it boots with the words "no command" it is booting to the stock recovery.
Have you flashed anything?
If not a full factory reset may be all you need to do.
It would be advisable to get the data cable just in case you need to flash the firmware.

Thanks for the quick reply
I have not flashed anything.
I already have the data cable.
I did a factory reset when I first got the watch, because I had these issues at the start.
I’ll do a new factory reset and let you know what happens.

Ok, if a full factory reset is not helping, then it is definitely worth installing the MTK VCOM drivers and flashing the firmware. It is best to use a Windows PC for this. Not so simple using a MAC. The firmware is here in the Kospet firmware section and if you need it - I can link you to the flash tool and MTK drivers.

Reset done as suggested. The results are not very good. 1. Short (1s) press - nothing. black screen. 2. Long (3s) press - "Kospet" logo then black screen. 3. (After #2) Short (1s) press - nothing. black screen. 4. Long (3s) press - nothing. black screen. 5. Longer (8s) press- nothing. black screen. 6. Very long (12s) press - screen flash, Kospet Logo, black screen. 7. Very long (12s) press - screen flash, Kospet Logo - stays on screen indefinitely ("Blue Kospet on white background). 8. Wait 60 seconds. 9 Short (1s) press while logo still on screen. No change. 10. Long (3s) press while logo still on screen. No change. 11. Longer (8s) press while logo still on screen. No change. 12. Longer (8s) press while logo still on screen. Screen goes black. Kospet Logo Reappears and stays on screen indefinitely. 13. Very long (12s) press while logo still on screen. Screen goes black. Kospet Logo Reappears and stays on screen indefinitely. 14. Repeat steps 8 through 13 with same results. 15. Attach power cable. Screen goes black. 16. Very long (12s) press. Screen flashes, watch boots. So I am back where I started. But it seems as though I dare not ever turn the watch off, because I have no guarantee that I can ever turn it back on again.

Thanks so much for the quick reply. I have a Windows 10 PC. I'd really appreciate if you give me the links - I'd hate to install the wrong stuff and end up with a nice bracelet
Strange, it is behaving as if there is not enough charge in the battery… But you say that the screen stays on?
You can flash the firmware when the watch is like this.
You have to load the firmware in the flash tool. Remove the sim card cover and attach the data cable. Be very careful when you do this.
Once you have connected the watch cable to the watch and your pc you have to click the download option in the flash tool.
Then press and hold the watch power button until it reboots.
As it reboots it will flash the firmware.
But, you have to have the drivers installed correctly on your PC. This is most important. Luckily there are many YouTube videos that you can use to help you with this.
I will get the links for you.
I’m just having lunch but I will not be too long.
Hi gentlemen. I am posting this again since it looks like nobody has seen my message a few topics earlier. Any help from Kospet support will be appreciated.
My Kospet Hope is not charging anymore. I have tried to charge using usb computer port and wall charger as well. However, it simply won’t charge and when I try to turn it on, a red battery appears on the screen only.
How can I fix this issue? My kospet Hope has arrived 2 weeks ago and I am already having this issue . Any help would be highly appreciated.

I have never used a flash kit before - You mentioned a youtube video which explains how to use it. Do you have a link please?
I’m sure you probably have to answer these questions over and over again, and appreciate your patience.
Once I have a look at the instructions I should be fine.

You can either search Google for installing the drivers and flash using SP Flash Tools
Or there is a link at the top of this forum to our YouTube channel which also has a video for flashing.
Personally I would read as much as possible about it first so you feel comfortable.
As I said before the tricky part is installing the MTK VCOM drivers. I did include a read me file in the zip file but I would watch the videos about it anyway.
There are some great videos on Google
Hello, my Kospet hope watch doesn’t seem to recognize the SIM card. I turn it off, enter the card, turn it back on, but it is not recognized.
If you go to settings->About Watch->Status->SIM Status Does it show everything as “not available”?
In settings->Connect is “Cellular Network” greyed out?
Does the SIM card work in other devices?
I assume that you have made sure that the SIM is seated correctly.
I’m with the same problem whith the SIM.
The icon appears not connected
In settings > abou watch > SIM: all status are “not avaiable”
In settings > connect “Cellular Network” is greyed out.
The SIM car work on others devices (I tested it on a moto x and on a iphone)
The SIM is corrected seated. It worked when the watch came and stopped working about two weeks later.

Can you see the IMEI number in Settings /"About Watch"/Status /IMEI Information.
