Try to calibrate the battery as described here:

Hi. I am a new user of the pure Android watches after using Wear watches and the Apple Watch (yes, yes, I realize, these two concepts are forbidden words here), but I wish to be honest. I have just received the Kospet Hope from GearBest, and it arrived with two cables - the first is the two-pin magnetic charging cable, and the second is a USB cable whose function I am not clear on. Perhaps this is that data cable that one can use to connect the device to the PC? Any clarification/assistance would be appreciated for a newby on this 2nd cable.

Thx.

What is the difference between the pure Android watches and Wear watches? I am new here and am on the fence on whether I made the right decision on the Kospet Hope.

Thank you for the comparisons/clarifications.

Regards,

Rajiv

That must be this USB data transfer cable:

Good to know Gearbest now includes it.

Hello. My Kospet Hope is not charging anymore at all. I have tried to charge using usb computer port, wall charger as well. However, it simply won’t charge and when I try to turn it on, a red battery appears on the screen only.

How can I fix this issue? My kospet Hope has arrived 2 weeks ago and I am already having this issue . Any help would be highly appreciated.

Have you tried to set another watchface via the WiiWatch app?

So... somehow after swiping and clicking the buttons I suddenly found myself in the "Settings" menu.  I'm not sure if this was just a path the Android OS took after it failed to launch the watchface a number of times or it was something I did on the watch that got me there.  Once there I was able to do a factory reset under the "Reset equipment" option.  I then went through loading the custom watch faces again and trying them one-by-one (all while keeping the Clockskin Transfer App open in in the background).  When I found the bad watch face I was hold in the top button and get to the "Recent Task" menu.  From there I opened the Clockskin Transfer App and removed the bad watch face from the watch.  As soon as I did this I was able to return to the watch face display which now reverted to another watch face.

By the way…  I only have the iPhone version of the WiiWatch2 App.  This version (unless I’m mistaken) doesn’t have the options to select watch faces.  I have an Nvidia Shield Android tablet but for some reason the WiiWatch2 App comes up incompatible with this device and will not install.

I would still love to know if there was some trick I accidentally did that got me to the “Settings” menu from my locked out watch.  Anybody have any feedback?

Dear friend, I had exactly the same experience like you. I somehow found my self to the “Settings” menu and I did a factory reset. The next day and without playing with watch faces, it happened the same thing. Now, the only thing I can do with the watch is to turn it off or to reboot. The watch is not respond to any other function. I cannot see any watch faces or other apps. If I press the power key (upper key) nothing is happening. Only if I press it continuously I can see the Power Menu. You can see a YouTube video here →

I tried everything but I never manage to open the “Settings” menu again. Now I am waiting for the data cable I have ordered and I am thinking of flashing the firmware again using the FlashTool app. I have reported all these to Banggood. I have bought the watch from them. They accepted that the watch is faulty and I am waiting for instructions, how I will send it back and they will send me another, I hope.

Thanks Jockyw2001

I am wondering (not trying to offend anyone) if there is a protection circuit in the watch for reverse polarity with charging… Could this be the cause of batteries going bad?

I have observed that some watch faces when installed show the same issues as perama showed with his watch. Luckily, I had a touch launcher installed with a “button” that would allow me to open apps, which I then went to my file explorer, deleted the watch face in question, and rebooted to a proper screen.

Perama:
Do you have the Universal Launcher installed on the watch? If so, can you long press the blank screen after bootup to try and see if a menu pops up, and select a different clock skin?
I also noticed in your video you had a Vodaphone SIM card installed. Does the watch do the same thing with the SIM card not installed?

This behaviour is what happens when the stock launcher has become corrupt.
Normally by using a bad watch face or a face that is not compatible.
Flashing the firmware will almost certainly fix the problem
perama can you tell me if you added anything to the watch like a custom face or installed an app or changed any developer options in the advanced settings ?

FYI - supposedly magnetic now…

The truth is that I had made some changes to the following developer options: Window animation scale, Transition animation scale and Animator duration scale. I have chosen the value Animation scale 0.5x to all three options.
I had installed, also, the Clockskin Transfer app with several watch faces.
But finally I manage to fix my watch!

As I have already told and kenrip, too, the previews time I had the same problem, I somehow found my self to the “Settings” menu and I did a factory reset.

So, yesterday evening I tried everything to make “Settings” menu appear. After a thousand tries, I found out that if I press the icon which change the screen from circle to square (This icon is situated to the upper of the power menu), for sometime, the “Settings” menu appears right away!
After that I did a factory reset and my watch is back to life!
I would like to thank you guys, for your help and your interest to my problem!
We will stay in touch…

perama

Thanks very much for your feedback.
So I believe that pressing the little square button on the power menu you could access tells me a little about what was happening.

Can you tell me if the square compatibility mode was on and when you changed it to “round” - the settings menu appeared?

Ok - I see that it was set to round and changing it to square fixed access to the settings menu.

I will also say that changing the animation options in developer options would make no difference normally. However I will have to test it.

Thanks again.

The “Settings” menu appears if you touch continuously the square compatibility icon, either when it is on “round” or on “square” mode.

Yeah, try the USB-to-SIM cable, maybe that will charge your watch.
