Yes I know that, and It is very sad. This SW(D5+) is very powerfull but its software and optimalization is comleatly dissaster.

Only what I need is to get notifications from Phone, answer to SMS, and manage calls (answer/drop call). No more. So easy but, but so hard.

use as me m2d for most notifications and My SMS for calls and sms:)

I know this has been hinted at on this board a number of times but I am having the same issue as many others…

(I have the KW88 watch)

Running M2D (over BT) works perfectly, WHEN THE SCREEN ON THE WATCH IS ON, and for about a minute once it is off. Then connectivity seems to be lost…and no further notifications are received. I am guessing that the bluetooth connectivity is being shut down to save power(?) but I can see no no setting anywhere (default settings or using gesture search) to keep these connections alive? Does anyone know how to do this?? Maybe an ADB command? Third party app etc? I have installed NiLS and C Notice and neither seem to keep the connection alive…

Any help greatly appreciated as M2D is an awesome littel app for solving these notification “issues” with this smartwatch!

cheers

i heard about the problem and i've noticed with my watch that it started to happen after my note5 was updated to android 7 and the developer is aware with this problem and is working to fix it as soon as possible. as i see the problem is with the 5.1 watches and not the 4.4.

Yes smudger you are right i am also facing this issue but i think its not because of bt downtime to save power as wiiwear notifications work. I think m2d receiver app is being closed/hibernated. Need to find some solution to this.
And it sucks that wiiwear doesnt work on android 7.0

Is there any news on M2D update?

receiver - on phone and watch same password.
sender- on phone and watch same password.

you put imei of phone in the right place on the watch.
you put code from watch in the right place on the phone (only 1 code not need the other 2).

encryption key: on phone and watch same password.

enable on both devices debugging, and that’s it:)

these apps works with BT, 3g and wifi.   there are issues with the apps on 5.1 watches and android 7 on the phone and the developer is working to fix it.

after you pair the 2 devices you also need to do it with the BT app. my suggestion is NOT to allow auto connection but do it manually each time.

Hi, any news regarding updates for M2D?

why not install this app also on your watch? anyway you still get notifications from this app also through m2d.

How can I change those quick reply messages? postimage

You can edit the file you'll find at sdcard root called SenderOptions.txt with your own messages. Reboot your device if the messages are not gotten first time.

Hi Pacosal,

Would this be the same location where the debug logs are? I do not see any SenderOptions.txt there?

First of all I would like to thank Pacosal for his app. Its really nice and seems better than any similar for Android smartwatches.

I would recommend to fork your project and build one separate application just for Android smartwatches (e.g. Android smart watch assistant - ASWA). It will allow you to remove unnecessary settings and concentrate on fitting the smartwatches unique screens. Plus include and concentrate on Bluetooth connectivity as it is much more energy efficient connection compared to GSM of Wifi

I see the great interest for your app and it will become higher as the number and popularity of pure Android smartwatches is constantly growing.

By the way it would be great if you could modernize the design and usability of the app. I am a professional UI designer and can help you to make this app look and operate better. In case of interest - please contact me in PM.

I guess we can make this app as the standard for the Android smartwatches. I even propose to gather some funds to risen your interest in this app development. Anyone with me?

Seria genial, la verdad me compre el reloj y me ha decepcionado ya que la conexión es pésima con mi teléfono.

Hi Paco any plans to put m2d on iphone

Same Q here, .... and it's now 9 month later..... no iPhone 'sender' side possible (or in the making) still ?

Hello

From my site more or less it is working. Seems it needs a while “to grow” within the 2 connection.

Using BT

Smartphone:

Xiaomi Mi5s Plus

Android 6.0.1

Mui 8 Global 7.6.8 Beta

Smartwatch
KW88
Android 5.1

I had some problems in the beginning but after following the advice from Sonia both devices connected directly

What helps:

sender- on phone and watch same password.

Will test now the next days about stability with notifications in the day by day.

One point at this moment:

The buttons in the receiver are a very unresponsive and they need a lot of clicks to change to the next page.

Hopefully the next update will not crash the app

Paco, si necesitais feedback hacerme lo saber.
If you need feedback please let me know!!

Hello

First impressions:

Well, resuming - > it works when it wants

i m not quite sure if one of the terminals enter into a sleep mode or maybe both (did not experience this with watch droid so i supose that it is not comming fom the KW88). What i see is that after a while of inactivity the messeages are not arriving to the smartwatch. If i restart sender and receiver it works again. AND on both sites the Manager says it is connected and BT says connected too.

What still is working on sender site is that it asks me if i want that app X send notifications to the SW.

Also, as mentioned before, the bottons on the sw site are very unresponsive and it takes several clicks to see information.
I had also 2 messages from Whatsapp which are not arrving to kw88. Pushing the + button i see only the window offering to which message i want to respond and then it opens the dialog to put in the message.

Conclusion: Yes, i know, as already told here there are problems with 5.1. Hopefully it will be solved soon because the rest is working fine like font size or if i want to include new app for notification.

Hi! Im here to tell you all my impressions about M2D app. I know that it’s the only app that really can make our watches communicate with our phones in order to send and receive notifications from other apps other than the “normal” ones, but really… we all have to stop believing that the Dev is going to work any longer in his app! No news from him, no updates and the moderator (sorry Sonia…) is the one that must give us an honest reply that if the Dev really continues or not to work on the app… We all know that the app “sucks” battery power, that it lacks improved bluetooth connections stability, it simply doesnt really work with phones that are on android 7 and the Dev does not respond any of the replies (only you respond in name of him) etc…

Maybe it’s time to realize that our watches are only good for switching watchfaces and 2/3 good apps… I’m sorry if i seem too harsh.

Everybody, try Watch droid phone (for phone) and Watch droid Assistent (for watch)
You van reply on almost every message and take a call from youre watch.
You can download it on the Playstore.
