LEMFO LEM7 - Discussion thread

Yep, flash again using the firmware upgrade option.

I don’t get these issues.

Just did that yesterday evening. I still meet this major issue with the sim card. It is not recognized (“please insert the SIM card”)… I’ve played with the Airplane mode tens of times. This morning after switching it off and on again, it eventually found the SIM (the watch asked me for the PIN #) and lost it immediatly after. Can’t use my watch as a phone. This is getting frustrating. Could this be a hardware issue ? If so, how can I use the warranty and claim for a new one?

Do you use a sim pin?

Yes. The SIM is just not detected anymore by the watch. When it does sometimes, it asks for the PIN.

As I said… Does the sim have a pin?
If it does - take the sim, put it in a phone and remove the pin.
Pin causes problems.

I answered this question above. Yes, there is a PIN. I will remove the PIN and let you know. Thanks.

Oh, I’m sorry I didn’t know for sure.
So, yes - It is a known problem.
I will ask if the LEM7 firmware can be updated.
The Thor 4 has just had this fixed.
You can actually flash the Thor 4 firmware on to the LEM7 with no problems at all…
It’s an option.

Or remove the pin…

The other thing I would say is - be very careful when putting in the sim card.
The contacts on the watch board are fragile.

you have this/latest Thor4 FW? KY_THOR4_20180823 mentioned here ? i see as last KY_THOR4_20180622 in Official Stock Firmware for Thor 4 UPDATED which is older that "Lemfo LEM7 FW 2.5"

Yes I do.
Do you want it?
The only difference is that the black screen or “sim not recognised” error has been fixed.
You will only experience this error if you have a sim card with a pin number enabled.
I will upload it anyway - when I get the chance but you should get it by OTA very soon…

The version number is 20180823
Just remember that the only difference is the sim pin problem is fixed…

Just removed the PIN code. Not any better unfortunately…
In case you doubt I’m under v2.5., just checked again in settings / about watch (Z28-LEM7-V2.5).

i actually have in Tho4 FW from LEM7 2.5, then no Thor4 OTA for me :-) even though i am reflash with KY_THOR4_20180622 and wait for OTA, it would be good if you upload it :-) i don't have problem with sim, i disable sim lock immediately after buy it :-) but i like have last FW (and in file), for any reason... thanks :-)

Yep, I will be uploading it today.

Just give me some time. It’s like dial up speed where I live…

I am thinking that you should check the sim tray in the watch and check the pins are making contact with the sim card…

Hi, the pins look ok and just to confirm, I’m under v2.5… This looks to me as a harware failure…
What can I do?

Sim pins slot

What is your carrier and which band does it use? If you go to the watch settings and then to the last option "About Watch" - there is a tab called "Status" If you click on the IMEI information can you see the IMEI number?

Yes, I can see a 15 digit IMEI code and a 2 digit IMEI SV code. I'm with Bouygues Telecom in France (one of the top 3 carriers). My watch used to work ok until it could no longer detect the sim card a few days ago.

Any advice ? I'm about to send the watch back to the reseller ...

Hey there, is it possible to port the “bubble” style of the LEM X?

No, it's a built in set of graphics that do not use the same Clockskin type of system that we use. The graphics are also owned by the maker of the app "Bubbles" which can be found on the Play Store. The other app used to create the other face with the colour waves is another Play Store app called "Liquid Magic". Again, these files are hidden away in various System files on the watch.

Contrary to popular belief this watch does not support live wallpapers natively.
You can use Play Store apps like “Twisted Colours” or the “Koi aquarium” app to set interactive screen images if you want to.
