LEMFO LEM7 - Discussion thread

Pablo, do you have a bug fix log or an update log? I mean, what is corrected in 2.5 vs 2.4, would be interesting to know if you log all the changes that are made to the firmwares version!

Thanx

I have a suggestion for the next LEM7 firmware update. Having the watch to ā€œshut upā€ on boot. The sound it makes when it boots for me doesn’t make sense. When my watch is dead and I put it on the charger arriving late at 2am, the watch boots when put on the craddle and then you hear the ā€œsongā€ that wakes up my girlfriend. I liked the Zeblaze firmware for that (silent on boot)

Is anyone getting this Serial # when trying: adb devices

List of devices attached
0123456789ABCDEF

device

I forgot to check before updating with SP Flash Tool, and I just want to confirm the secro.bin didn’t have anything to do with this.

/proc/cmdlineĀ  shows: androidboot.serialno=0123456789ABCDEF as well

I think that is the default. I also see that serial number when I go in to About Device / Status on my watch.

have you flashed and reseted the watch before and after the new update?

Guys,

Check if you have the option on bt if youĀ  have bt calling it turns out that we do’nt need an app for bt calling it is there…i’ve checked with Samsung phone and Huawei phone and it works.

soniasophie9697 you will need to be very specific about this.

Some pictures or a how to will need to be made - it’s too broad a statement for people to just ā€œunderstand what you meanā€

Does anyone flashed the new firmware and the screen-problems went away? Otherwise it seems that the LEM7-Screen had in general a problem with durability…
Several People have problems with the screen after 2-3 months… like i do (http:///thread/2540/screen-moving-touch-recognized-bottom)…
Therefore the question, will the firmwareupdate solve the issue or is it a hardware related thing?

Lemfo are well aware of the issues and are going to make some improvements. I know it does not help customers who have the watch already but it is great to see that they are listening. They will also be checking future models for the issue as well.

you can disable (annoying) startup/shutdown sounds: 1. install TWRP, keep in TWRP (or reboot watch: adb reboot recovery) 1b. if not already mounted /system (is after installing TWRP_patcher.zip) do it: "right arrow", "Mount", check "System", uncheck "Mount System RO", "right arrow" 2. connect to adb on watch: adb shell 3. remount /system partition to readwrite: mount -o remount,rw /system (if skipped step 1b) 4. change to dir where sound is present: cd /system/media 5. disable startup sound: mv bootaudio.mp3 bootaudio.mp3.off (or if you want, delete: rm bootaudio.mp3) 6. disable shutdown sound: mv shutaudio.mp3 shutaudio.mp3.off (or if you want, delete: rm shutaudio.mp3) 7. reboot from recovery to Android: reboot
  • for adb you need installed it on your PC, connected Watch via USB cable and enabled Settings/About/DeveloperSettings/USBDebuging

little battery for android 7, you need more. otherwise, the design could be better, less thick, belt change, but despite everything works very well.

My notifications recently stopped waking up the screen (it would just vibrate). This was most likely caused after I re-loaded the firmware. I tried downgrading the firmware, but the issue was still present. I have found the setting that turns this back on for those that experience this issue. I did try the app that Pablo suggested (Heads Up Notifications), but I couldn’t get it configured to work the way I needed it. I also searched but couldn’t find the answer here.

To turn on ā€œwake screenā€ in the event it gets disabled (in my case) follow the path:

  • Settings
  • … More
  • App Settings
  • Special Access
  • Notification Access

I needed to turn on ā€œConnect Phoneā€ and ā€œWatchClockSkinā€ (I’m using universal launcher). ā€œWatchā€ was already turn on in my case.

Hope this helps someone

Hi guys, I’ve experienced a major issue with this watch 10 days after I purchased it.

The sim card is no longer recognized (no water, no dust, no heat, …). It worked fine during 10 days. The sim card still works on my previous phone.
I’m about to flash the lem7 with the latest firmware but if you have a better idea, I will be glad to concider it. I really don’t know what good flashing the watch will do to this issue but that’s the only thing I see me doing at this stage. Any advise, please tell me.

Ultimately, I would like the manufacturer to replace it if I can’t fix it with this upgrage but I don’t know to whom to speak…

When you say not recognised - what do you mean exactly? Have you gone to the watch settings / connect / cellular / and set the preferred band to 3G? This can be a problem with earlier firmware. Don't flash it until you have checked the above setting.

Thanks for your answers Sonia and Pablo.
I really don’t know what happened but this morning after playing with the airplane mode desperately, the watch found the sim card again.
That can seem strange but I can tell you that I’ve spent hours in the settings to try to sort out this issue.
I will keep you updated if I meet this issue again. Good day.
