Is it worth the extra money?
Hi G1NTON1C,
I read your answers related to bluetooth calling on the LEM12, I guess this is the same with the LEM12 PRO ? Is it a limitation due to the hardware implementation of the bluetooth function ? If not , do you know if bluetooth calling is expected to be in a next release of the firmware ?
Bluetooth calling does not work on the LEM12 pro. No update will change anything.
Thanks a lot for your answer
Hi,
Does LEM12 PRO support Wi-Fi calling ?
Why not. Whatsapp, Teams works for example.
simply because if you install WHATSAPP on the watch , you can not use it anymore on your smartphone
Of course it’s working. All you need is a separate number, for example your landline number. On This way You can use whatsapp on your watch without buying a separate SIM card.
if you by Wi-Fi calling mean VoIP (a regular phone call through wifi) then maybe. if you mean by the means of an app, like whatsapp or facebook messenger, then yes of course it’s supported
To G1NTON1C, I have no landline… Only smartphone working with the GSM network, LTE & 4G+…when you want to install WhatsApp, you have to provide à number to which you Can receive SMS message providing you with a valid code for installation, I do not know how it works with a landline number
To noidremained, WIFI calling function ( VOIP) issu not available on all smartphones, so that 's why my question
WIFI calling and VOIP are two separate things.
There is a “WIFI call” in the “VoWIFI” to complement the VoLTE service.
This requires mobile carrier support.
One application + internet access is enough to use the VOIP system.
Which one do you mean?
You’re wrong mate. If submitting the code fails 3 times, you can request a call instead. Then you get a machine read out a code that you can type on the watch. And if necessary, this even works with the employer’s landline phone…
Thanks, never tried to enter 3 erroneous codes, I 'll try…
I am not a specialist… To my mind, the call uses VOIP in both cases, the only difference is the network, VOLTE uses 4G , Wi-Fi calling Switches on 2g Or 3g networks but maybe I am wrong
The good thing is that you have an opinion.
I suggest you ask your GOOGLE friend what VoWIFI is.
No. You shouldn’t enter the code incorrectly. You have to enter NO CODE 3 times. And if you use Telegram, it will be much easier. Telegram can be used on several devices.
I probably missed something, as you have to provide
a phone number… And as you have no SIM card in Your watch you Can not be called… If you provide à number for the watch, the smartphone associated to this number will not be able to run WhatsApp… One WhatsApp application is necessarily associated to one phone number
- Download whatsapp with your watch.
- open whatsapp
- Enter a landsline phone number
- ask for a code 3 time, let the time run down each time.
- now you can chose "get Code by call.
- pick up the phone and listen.
- enter the code on your watch.
- done.
Thanks, but no landline only mobile network
I guess you are a specialist, so could you explain what to do on the watch to make phone calls from the watch without SIM card in it ?
