Basically I mean that WearOS is a system dedicated for that small devices, unlike full Android. And because of that, there are several obstacles, like the interface isnt’ optimized, batteries need to be large and that makes FAWs bulky. Besides, no NFC support, unreliable sensors, etc.
Of course, like I said, I see huge advantages also. Mainly you can install almost any Android app. So in the end, it’s always the matter of personal preferences. If someone does not care much about those limitations, it can be a great solution. In my case though, I couldn’t live with them on a long term
If you still want an update… I finally managed to brick the watch after flashing re-signed VBmeta image. Not recognized by PC, reconnecting the battery didn’t help. Well… I’m not gonna cry Unisoc sucks. Yea I know, told me that before, but at least I was brave enough to try
Anyway, I found another deal, on Lemfo Lem 10 this time, easy-peasy MediaTek, I already rooted it on latest firmware, Xposed and stuff. And yea, square FAW is so so much better
Yeah, maybe, but to be honest, A9 or even A10 are obsolete already as well And since I’m going to use FAW as a toy more than a daily device, it doesn’t make much difference to me.
I’ve seen those new variants too, but it’s very vague about their hardware and uncertain if we can do any modifications… So I dropped the idea. Root gives much more possibilities, that’s why I prefer proven solutions
