When you say the faw hardware is limited, on which way you say that?
Certainly, there are some points on which faws are starting to feel a few out of date -at least for me- like the lack of NFC, better cameras quality, AMOLED screen, waterproofing and even better sports metrics nowadays. But this is due to the total absence of development on this kind of devices from the last three years. And honestly, is very difficult to me to imagine new devices from this kind to be produced again.
On the other side, I feel WearOS devices are starting right now to get a little closer of this devices, they have been upgraded all this time long, primary on the sports metrics, but even the have a long way -on many ways- to walk through before I can feel them like a better wear device.
I think, maybe if there were more Android applications that can be used on WearOS devices, it could be a big, BIG step ahead for them. I love to use YouTube, YouTube music, link them on my smarTV, listen music without headphones, use WhatsApp full, or even use Family link to control my two childs from the watch itself -just to mention a few ones advantages-
I have a tic watch pro 3 gps and I’d love to do this things on that watch or any other WearOS watch by example
