no, you have to flash the stock firmware and not an updated firmware.

you do'nt need the watch on to flash it, just download the stock original firmware for the watch and flash it about the updates i let you know what to do, but first flash the sotck frimware.
I think we do not understand each other How should I make a backup since the watch is only seen in flashtool ?? and writes that every attempt to update the firmware ends with an error.

After installing this driver PL2303 USB to Serial Driver the flash was successful

1. the w618 is the lem5 pro not the 8gb model. 2. did flashing the x5+ w618 worked? this one: /thread/543/w618-version-firmware-watches-memory
