Based on the evidence and research above maybe the ā€˜Engineering sample’ did not have all the bands? How can I get this situation fixed?

They have the same bands.
The did not change the board at all

The engineering samples have the same bands? If so I don’t know how to make sense of this situation. That SIM shows multiple choices which are editable (and I had to edit them to get Mobile data) in the Prime 1 (original) but when I put it in the Prime 2 there are no choices and it is not editable. It is set to ATT Nextgenphone.

It would seem something in the way Kospet set up the APN config files limit my options. I am guessing at this point it could be fixed with an update in the file that controls the APN settings.

I can provide all the APN settings that were shown when that same SIM was in the Prime 1 which I added to make Mobile data work. But what would be best I believe is for Kospet to make it possible to Add or edit an APN regardless of the SIM service provider. This seemed to be possible in the Prime 1.

It is possible in this as I said before.
I have no problem at all editing APN.
I really cannot understand why you can’t do this.

But equally you will be returning them to Kospet anyway to get the non review samples.

I would wait until you have worked this out with them first

Did you see that I can edit the APN with a different SIM but not on the one I currently need to use. So there is some sort of issue restricting editing APN’s on that SIM and only restricted in the Prime 2 as I can edit that same SIM APN settings in the Prime 1.
Thanks for the return info. I guess I won’t worry more about that and hope the replacement will fix the situation. I do believe this may be worth mentioning to Kospet and I’ll do that if you think it is worth detailing to them. I have the impression they listen to their customers.

So if you edit the APN while you are using the other Sim card and save it.
Does it allow you to save it so that you can use the ATT one?

Today I had some trouble with the Fitness app popping out of activity after awhile. It’s set up for GPS tracking and I used Walking and Cycling. I started an activity, hit Go and got GPS lock within about a minute max. It started tracking and, after awhile the screen went off. I would twist wrist and see status every now and then, and things were OK. After roughly 10 minutes or so, twisting wist displayed watch face. Switching to Fitness indicated nothing was happening. There was no ongoing event and no record of one having ever been started. This is always happening. I had done some short tests of arena 5 minutes or less and exited properly, and the session, including track was recorded and viewable on the watch. It appears to drop the activity after about 10 minutes or so.

Have any of you guys tried a fitness activity longer than, say 15 min or a half hour to see what happens? If not, could you start a walk with GPS integrated and run it for a half hour or so and let me know if it’s working or failing for you? I’d appreciate it. I’ve already done firmware update to 1.4 and factory restore, so I’m a bit concerned that this may be a larger issue than just my watch. Thanks.

Here’s my battery testing for the Prime 2 for the past couple of days:

TEST 1: Left the Prime 2 turned on with WiFi connected and screen off, charged to 100% to test drain overnight. Eight hours later in the morning it was at 85%.
Strapped it on and went out with it playing and taking pictures. Seven hours later it was at 50%. No GPS but heavy screen on time with the camera in bright sun (and could easily see the image on the screen!).
It’s now three hours later and the watch has been sitting on the desk. Just checking it. 40%.
So let’s see, we’ve got 8 + 7 + 3 = 18 hours of moderate use mixed with some quiet time and 40% still remaining.
Add another 3 hours of heavy use installing apps, now at 15%

TEST 2: Started charging at 15%. After 20 min, 25%. After 40 min, 40%. After 60 min, 55%. After 90 min, 75%. After 120 min, 95%. All rounded to nearest 5%.

Remember, these charging times started from 15%, not from 0%. It’s also not good for the battery to overcharge to 100%, so I stopped at 95%. Hope this helps!

TEST 3: After charging to 95%, I put the watch in Power Save for 16 hours untouched, and it dropped to 85%. After 18 hours, 83%. That’s a drop of 12% in 3/4 of a day.

TEST 4: Starting at 85%, after 1.5 hrs, moderate use, 79%, after total of 4.5 hrs moderate use, 68%, after 7 hrs of moderate and light use, 60%. That’s a drop of 25% total. Now, taking watch off for the evening/night, after 11 hrs total, 53%, after 22 hrs total, 34%, and after 24 hrs total, 25%. That’s a drop of 60% total including day use and overnight no-use.

TEST 5: Here we go. A day of wearing it, some camera, some GPS fitness, some calls, even a Duo video call (what fun!) and, of course, checking time and collecting pedometer step count info. Started 7:20 AM at 98%. Ended test at 5:20 PM with 43% left. That’s 10 hours. Slapped it on the charger and filled it up to 80% in one hour.

thank you Mr_Ticks ,

for sharing all test battery :+1:

Thanks Mr T . Great info :+1:

Yeah, that is - I’ve ordered my Prime 2 on the first day it was available to order, but I’m patient, I’ll get mine when it arrives.
Think different: Kospet had time to iron out some remaining bugs.

Yes it is true.
They are taking a stock delivery tomorrow.
But if you keep saying things like Fake and stirring people up for no reason… You will not be welcome here.

I have been working my balls off to get this stuff sorted out and then I get your comments…

I know damn well that stock is delayed.
It’s delayed due to production problems.
I don’t need you causing grief with your ridiculous comments.

Do you understand this?
It may be a language problem or something but whatever it is - we don’t need it.

This is also sad…
After all the explaining and everything…

I must admit that it is strange when you try to help people and it is not believed…

I’m sure the truth will be accepted in the end.

Today I made hotspot from the watch to the phone (I wasn’t at office). Started at ~ 50% battery. Watch turned off, dead, after an hour  it doesn’t give its best in hotspot.
During a normal day, in under wifi, gps on, notification on (without waking up the display however) it lasts a day and a half, with several experiment during the day. Not bad.
But it’s Huge, very Huge! In a t-shirt it is not a problem, but with a shirt or sweater, it doesn’t fit in the cuff!

Search on Google or YT this string
F4YRBqnHRQY
it is in Italian but maybe there is something interesting (auto eng subs present).
