I just received mine

Ok so here is what I noticed:

The model number simply shows LEMFO

Android Version is clearly 5.1

Baseband version is dated July 2016

Kernel is 3.10.72 dated March 2017

Build number is Z10-YFZ-V04-20170311

Unfortunately when I select Wireless upgrade there seems to be a error at the bottom of the screen that says

“This product is not exist”

and the app just sits there until I go back. Obviously this is not good, and I will updated this thread as I get more information. Hopefully this is just because the watch is so new and they have yet to register this device as a valid production model.

There was also no interactive setup to configure the device once charged up it simply turned on.

Developer options are unlocked by default.

The manual that came with the device while in English did not seem to work as described.

For example it specifically calls out the app to sync with your phone is called WiiWear from the play store which does not exist on searching.

Can anyone suggest which app is best to use for this device for phone tethering/notifications etc?

Additionally, does the method to put faces on watches outlined here work for this watch?

/thread/35/put-faces-on-watch

Also even though the device was shipped to me with English as the default language when I first tried to connect the device to a wifi connection the keyboard autocorrect/autocomplete word suggestions were in Chinese which made it almost impossible to type anything in English. The way I managed to get around it was by clicking on the small softkey on the built in keyboard very bottom that had the letters CN on it. After clicking it, it changed to English auto correct.

I also tried to find floating commander in the play store to enable easy voice commands but could not find it.

Are there recommended play store apps that folks could recommend for this device that would be useful?

Thanks

Great write up. Thanks for the info. I was thinking about picking one of these up. I understand they dont natively support calling or replying to texts over bluetooth. Are there other applications folks use?

1. yes, you can use m2d, what do you mean you can't find the wiiwear app? 2. there are more keyboards in input and language and also you can download one to your watch. 3. one important app called google gestures.

When there are updates, no doubt the “Product is not exist” will vanish.

You get the WiiWear app by using the QR code in the instruction manual or go to Mobile Assistant in Settings on the watch to get the QR code.
Once on your phone you can forward notications from the phone to the watch, it enables the remote control functions on the watch and you’ll now be able to control music on your phone from the watch. There are a few other features on the app such as Find Device.

I’m using Eric Launcher (Universal Launcher New Generation [2.x]) for using different clockskins.

I’ve got an app called C Notice that i’m using for notifications which is pretty good. Need to tweak watch more and find other apps too.

Thanks very much for the replies. I have tried using m2d and setting it up as outlined in the instructions but for some reason its not working consistently. After setting it up, it seemed to work with the test message but then for some reason the watch disconnects from bluetooth to the phone and notifications do not come in at all. Additionally, whne I am connected I noticed that I cannot reply to texts at all and the only notices that do seem to come in at all are texts and not notifications for emails etc.

Are there any keyboards that are considered best for these types of watches?

I will check out gestures.

TRY OUT " GO TASTATUR "
I tried out some before in the KW88 and Lemfo lem 5. If you find a better art of typing, please write it here

--------- Thank you for the reply. I hope that is the case. I did find the WiiWear app and also what appears to be the version posted in the play store called sinear and so far it is pretty much useless. I am not sure how they can offer a smart watch for well over $140 and not have an solid basic application for notifications and better functionality to fully use the device.

I tried Eric launcher and on this watch it seems this latest version still needs some work. For example when you are in square screen mode the watch face is off center and it constantly went back to the default launcher due to crashes. Also the fact that it requires android admin access IMHO makes no sense. If you enable admin access on install removing it can difficult for some folks. So I tried it, and at this point will manage watch face installs for myself and use an app called easytouch as a floating control tool which seems to work very well.

I will check out C Notice as I am having way too many issues with the m2d. Its probably just me, but I feel its overly complicated to setup and it does not work well enough for the memory and battery load.

So far I am a bit disappointed with the battery life on this watch and the fact that you cannot have spare batteries. With minimal use after about 5 hours with cell and gps off with only wifi and bluetooth on it was down to 25%. At that point the battery went from 25 to 0 in minutes…

I also notice that the magnet on the charging dock is really weak and does not hold the watch very well. Is this the same on others?

I will keep posting more info as i get it. So far I am not sure if this watch is worth keeping yet, but I will not yet give up. I have some time left to decide.

Thanks to all for the help and feedback. Please keep it coming!

I read somewhere on this forum that the TouchOne app will be available for the watch in 2 weeks time; being the 27th or 28th of April. I’ve made a note of that in my agenda.

Here’s the Play store link: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.infiniti.touchone.touchone

Here is what I read: /attachment/download/433

Thanks that one looks pretty good. I just tried the go keyboard and it looks powerful and pretty flexible but not well suited for round watches. I will definitely add TouchOne when it becomes available.

kaptk,

Reading through the description of C Notice it appears to only work locally on the same devices. Does it work for notifications from your phone via bluetooth to the watch?

Thanks

In case you still look for it: WiiWear is available on Google Play as SinWear. The only difference is the name (package name is exactly the same)

Thanks I did see that and tried it again. It does show the notifications and seems to give the option to reply when I try to select reply from the watch notice it does nothing. I also did manage to setup google voice using hangouts dialer for free voice dialing without a sim card as long as wifi is available. It actually works pretty well.

I also noticed an interesting problem with some of the watch faces not showing up on the device even after a reboot. So for example I follow the instructions and copy the clock.skin.model.png to img.skin.model.png and for some it works fine after a reboot. Others simply do not show up at all. Anyone else see that? I am getting all of the faces from the KW88 google group or the normal roundfaces group.

Thanks

Those options there correspond to actions you can see on the notification on phone. Selecting “Open” on watch opens app on the phone.  I found that most useful when using Material Audiobook Player on phone. Notification both on phone and my KW88 have working play/pause etc. Too bad it doesn’t work with persisten notifications (like Google Music f.ex). Maybe next version

This thread is pretty helpful. I may just have to pick up one of these. If only tethering via bluetooth worked like it does on other devices. Can you reply to anything from the watch via bluetooth?

The BT app is being worked on by the Firmware provider so hopefully you will see a better version of it soon.
There will be better firmware for the LES1 (Z10) - it’s only just been released so a little time and things will improve.
As soon as we are happy that no more bugs exist it will be released to the public.
I think it’s a good piece of hardware for the money. Quite pleasantly surprised at how well the battery lasts - considering the large storage.
I do have a gripe about the strap. I hate it !!
It’s very stiff and looks and feels cheap. But then again - it is cheap

I just use it for the notifications coming into the watch. It put little bubbles on the watch for you to click. Don't really like the notification centre so just use these instead.  Will probably look for something else to try as the bubbles/circles are quite small maybe i missed a setting to increase the size

This is good to know. Maybe I will keep an eye on this device to see if the BT app when updated adds better watch phone interaction like true tethering unless its just not possible?

Lol on the strap, I wonder if we can change, it does look a bit stiff/rubbery in a bad way…

Pablo thanks for responding with this info. This is good news! Any idea on when the updated BT will be coming? I find that the current version really drains battery on my main watch device. I went from being able to use it for 2 days on a single charge to when I use this app in the background it dies in less than 8 hours... I am also interested to know if there are any added functions with the updates or if they are really just bug fixes?

Thank you for the replies!

No, true tethering implies that voice calls over Bluetooth might be possible.
That is not going to happen.

BT app update is probably a month away. Just depends on how the testing goes and overall stability…
