BT app update is probably a month away. Just depends on how the testing goes and overall stability...

Thanks! is it just bug fixes or some added functions?

The next FW update will be bugfixes and hopefully the BT app.
So you may not see the update until a few more weeks.
The work being done with the BT app is all about connection stability - MOSTLY.
The issue comes with Android phones getting updated all the time and the BT stack being made by MTK is not supported by Google .
Causing so many issues…

I see thanks. One more question, do you know what is the reason why we cant make calls or respond to texts over bluetooth on this class of device? Is it just a software Sinwear/Wiiwear lack of function/maturity?

I only ask since other much simpler and cheaper watches like gt08/gt88 etc have this capability over Bluetooth and are using slower MTK chips.

As I said above "BT stack being made by MTK is not supported by Google ".

Those other cheaper watches you mention do not run on Android OS.

Therefore do not rely on Android BT stack. Android is owned by Google.

Google will never allow a fully supported BT stack on unsupported devices while they make Android Wear.

So it’s like this - non android watch can do what they like cos Google doesn’t care or see them as a threat.
Android watch - good device - could easily trounce android Wear - seen as a big threat so no way it will get support.

EHi Pablo, les1 communauty, could you explain in simple words the best way to use Eric Launcher or any other one. What are the benefits of the Eric launcher versus for instance the smartdevice on the playstore for the watchfaceup box files upload ?

I see that explains things. Thanks. I was not making the connection to Google limiting the android bluetooth stack for the reasons you stated....

Given the price and the limited function of this device through Bluetooth tethering I have decided to return it and go for a new Asus Zenwatch 2 which will be getting Android wear 2 for significantly less than I paid for the Lemfo!

Also I have to say the band is really uncomfortable. Its too rigid, feels cheap and ends up not feeling like it was made to go on your wrist.

I will definitely keep an eye on this space of Lemfo and IQI devices and may end up picking up another full Android watch in the future but for now given the very limited function and the early buggy software I simply need a reliable device that works and alas this is not it.

I don’t mind tinkering but at some point I need to simply rely on the ability to have a working device that serves the intended purpose.

For others who want a standalone 3g phone mini tablet on the wrist with limited battery and lots of storage maybe this will work.

Best of luck to all!

thanks for the post and helpful information. I will probably hold off on picking one of these up myself and may go the android wear route also.

my suggestion is to ask this on the developer thread, Eric's launcher works well with the round watches which most launchers that on the google playstore do'nt. and it is the only launcher that watch faces work with it others launcher do'nt.

i’ve a problem with my les1. in the pedometer, the touchscreen not work after pressed play. it’s a bug?

only when you use the padometer?

yes
and only after pressed icon “play”

I spoke to the Firmware makers about this.
They are saying that by design you should only be able to swipe back or stop the play sequence.
This is because the information you entered in the pages you cannot access is needed for the calculations after pressing the play button.
It’s not supposed to be accessible once the calculations are running (after you press the play icon)

I’ve just recieved mine !!!
And the bloody kids have hidden it for my birthday !!!

nice present:) why bloody...

Sorry . Its a local language thing :laughing:

The North East Of England is a strange place !

But the system does not respond well also after stopping the count of the pedometer. Even in other situations I’m having problems.  I’m sure it’s not a touchscreen problem, but just firmware. It seems that at certain moment/menù the touchscreen does not work well.
Here is another example.

If I was you I would’ve factory reset the watch. Or just flash the firmware - if you are comfortable with it…

So you do not have this problem?

as Pablo11 said it is'nt a problem it was meant to be that way the only way to change it is to reset the watch or flash the rom.
