Day & Night version of the V22 Osprey watchface app.

@Jeff_C @Ken_Van_Vliet I’ve just posted my first watchface with my engine, please have a look:

@Kenneth_Tan_Fotograf Lookin’ good!

@Jeff_C What about the comment concerning your 200+ design’s was that a pun at me, or a genuine offer to cooperate?

@Lokifish_Marz Right on

@Kenneth_Tan_Fotograf Genuine offer mate but now I am rethinking that one, lol. All kidding aside, you can use any one of mine man:)

@Lokifish_Marz What did I do?

@Jeff_C What’s your callsign on WatchaWear? I couldn’t locate your designs.

I think if you ask us nicely, we’d love to collaborate. :wink:
But it true that we responded to warm, we are fed up with the many stolen suffered our community.

I’m a photographer that is often confronted with uncredited and stolen work. Building the framework and using your V22 was for testing purposes. I know in the end, I took it a wee bit too far in my enthusiasm that my engine worked.
Love to see a fruitful cooperation in the future. There’s a boatload of customers waiting for an app that breaks the confines set by SinWear.

@Kenneth_Tan_Fotograf Sorry about that, lol. It’s Jeff Cicale on Watchawear -> I couldn’t find any either under Jeff C;)

@Jeff_C Just to be clear, translation errors excluding question:
“Contributor” on WA means, “Artist” / “Designer”, the owner of the copyright?

@Kenneth_Tan_Fotograf Yes; don’t worry about any of my faces though. No credit/mention needed on anything marked with my name:)

@Ken_Van_Vliet That’s why he should just use mine and forget the rest; I rarely if ever used his hands but when I did, I mentioned it so it should be straight forward.

Just had a quick look over at FaceRepo, one of the first WF i saw was one with very familiar hands:

Are those the ones from V22? And no credits, but yes there’s a copyright warning to downloaders.

@Lokifish_Marz “Allowing for theft” is not equal to stealing. Building a gun is not equal to murder.
Can we please get to a better place together.
We are all fighting the same war against the same people. We stand stronger together.

I don’t want to defend my framework for being the floodgate to anarchy. I’ve build this that the watches that don’t have CWF, now are able to have that too. Let designers decide if they want to share their work across the dividing line. If not, then it shouldn’t be distributed.

@Lokifish_Marz Now you are punishing a whole community for me being not careful enough in my posting. My framework is a good thing, and being honest in publishing works is a requirement on this and should be on other communities. Closing this community would be a great mistake because here we have standards and are continuously monitored in keeping these standards.
Out there is the wild west, there is where the big problems are.

Ok, we had a good discussion, some strong words were spoken, now let’s get on and build some watchfaces and hack the shit out of these smartwatches.

@Ken_Van_Vliet I think that’s a good basis to continue together.
As I’m not a designer by nature, I strive to 100% duplicate the implementation into my framework. Any direct changes would be slight pixel deviations in sizing elements, that can always be corrected afterwards. Fonts are a separate problem at this time. I need to import a font embedding procedure because now my options are limited. For the rest, I foresee no problems.

@Ken_Van_Vliet How about you offering a WF to me, that I can implement and what could be made available as an APK. So that your design qualities get some presence on these watches. I’ll take care of all the crediting.

I must say this has been the most civil discussion I have seen on G+ when there are serious issues at hand. I would just like to say props to all of you for handling it appropriately! @Lokifish_Marz @Kenneth_Tan_Fotograf @Ken_Van_Vliet @Cyrille_LE_RAY

If the fonts are used in static texts or are just numbers I can render them as graphics and embed these.
Day and Date wheels are no problem whatsoever. Love to use them and I know they are supported in my system.
There are no issues with math , so I can program the scales how I want them to behave.It’s all a matter on how the battery bars look like and what method looks nicest. I’m already thinking of a dimming led to make the experience look more analog.
