Day & Night version of the V22 Osprey watchface app.

Day & Night version of the V22 Osprey watchface app.

It should switch correctly now between day and night @6:00 and @18:00 hours.

It seems to be working here for me, but please test and report back. It was very buggy initially to do the switchover.
The LCD is not as pretty as in the pictures blow, but it’s comming.

Here’s the APK: (APK removed due to copyright infrigement of V22 design)

@Kenneth_Tan_Fotograf  THAT’S MY ORIGINAL DESIGN!

What the hell is your problem? I want this taken down immediately .

@Kenneth_Tan_Fotograf and by the way, the hands are from my friend @Terry_Zahn . I’m assuming you didn’t ask his permission either!

@Kenneth_Tan_Fotograf AND MY FRIEND @Ken_Van_Vliet did the dim for me. I would have let you modify it if you asked, but you had to go and steal an original design didn’t you?
What’s your response?

@Fabio thanks for the compliment, unfortunately the person posting this stole it from me. How do I know? Well, I made the design up myself.

@Enzo_Pirrotta thanks for liking it. It’s my watch.

The original watch is facing at this address: https://plus.google.com/116018946194513583857/posts/fketSuQoGfF

@Ken_Van_Vliet I liked how you shut down that jackass who said he made your watch…. "Uh, yea, dummy, I put markers in there, it’s mine! "

It is funny with this one, hard to say he made it when it’s an absolute original (with an amazing dim)

@Ken_Van_Vliet @Cyrille_LE_RAY OMG, this is great! I just realized that @Kenneth_Tan_Fotograf signed the pictures like he just made an original design himself!

Oh how dare you! You are a cheat, a liar, and a thief!

  • Michael Palombani i am desapointed is was not to specify that the watch came from the community watchmaker and created by somebody else. I am even member of the watchmaker community and to create or to answer many watch with watchmaker. And if a watchface to create and invented by me was to use without precision of the original author, my reaction would be the same of you. So the watchface its so cool

@Enzo_Pirrotta you are too kind, please enjoy, and thank you.

@Michael_Palombi i go on watchwear and download for my lg gr thanks great job

@Ken_Van_Vliet i’m Totally all right with your comment.

The car of my neighbor I like, if I want to drive it I’ll just ring at his door and ask him if he agrees to lend my. It is a matter of common sense. Then the guy just usurped the work of @Michael_Palombi …

Coming home from work I’m confronted with some angry designers. And I must say so, you’re correct for being mad.
But please let me explain what’s really going on.

Being the owner of a non-Android Wear smartwatch, I’m confronted with the bad news that we are not able to install custom watchfaces on these watches.

So, like many in this community we are looking for ways to make this happen.

I’m not a watchface designer, and needed a watchface that had all the elements I needed to test a new watchface engine so I could test it. Finding the V22 Osprey watchface was a blessing, because not only is it a beautiful watchface, it also had all the elements I needed to test the software I was trying to build.

The watchface was found on WatchaWear.com and was presented as giftware. It stated that the original authors have to be mentioned when using the watchface.
This I did, … the first time I posted my attempt for building a custom WF engine, here on this community.

Now, the second time I forgot. Which is to blame on me and posting in a haste to inform the community that a new app was build that could support custom watchfaces.

Looking at your comments, I’ve now noticed that the images used are watermarked with my name. I’m a photographer and used the wrong export in Lightroom to produce the thumbnails.
It was never my intention, with watermarking the images, to leave the impression that I’ve build the watchfaces. It’s just an oversight, I publish so many pictures watermarked, I never noticed this.

So, in retrospect, please accept my apologies for using your watchface.
I thought it was free to use, and I was building a watchface engine, not stealing someones design.
I’ve published the original authors the first time and forgot to do it with this post. My focus was not on the WF, but on the engine.

Please tell me what you would like to do.
#1: I could remain using your V22 as my demonstration watchface for the engine, who will accept ANY watchface when it’s finished. I will credit your design every post.

#2: On your request, I will remove the post and will repost it with another watchface (for which I’ll ask full permission to use)

Whatever you choose (please #1) I will respect your wishes.

Mea culpa.

Footnote: Please do not connect the owner(s) of this community with my post. This is on me, not them. I posted this because now we are able to use custom watchfaces. That’s the whole motivation. The V22 unfortunately was the best example to test the engine with.

@Michael_Palombi
This is a very good design
But thanks to @Kenneth_Tan_Fotograf I can use it…so thanks all!!!

Please contact WatchaWear.com.
I’ve rechecked the credits and these are the one’s I’ve used:
" Hands by Terry Zahn. Right engine = phone, Left = Watch. Dim by Ken Van Vliet. "

They never mention you on the page. If it’s your design they should update the credits there.

@Kenneth_Tan_Fotograf i’m waiting your app. Because i was created many watchface with watchmaker with complication and i want create the same or similar complication for the wk88 community. I can use the layer of my production but i’m noob with xml. Everybody makes errors and everything goes so fast… Thanks
